Emerging Trends in Drug Abuse

In this lecture, Dr. Phillips, associate clinical professor of medicine, University of Colorado, presents recent information on emerging drugs of abuse. These includes stimulants, hallucinogens and opiates. Dr. Phillips discusses how these novel substances impact patients, healthcare and the diagnostic dilemmas these drug intoxications may create.
After viewing this lecture, participants should be able to:
1. Identify common emerging drugs of abuse
2. Recognize the pharmacology of bath salts and ecstasy-related compounds
3. Identify common clinical manifestations of opioid toxicity

Thank you...It’s a good one. It’s an updating one on drug abuse. Moreover this topic of the pharmacology (“Emerging Trends in Drug Abuse”)not been explored much and can be considered as a new “pharmacological vista.”
