Did you see the look that Tom had when Dickie suggested that they go away and then Tom could leave. Tom then knew that The Gravy Train Ride was about to end and now that he was "used" to having it, he was going to lose it.
Good spotting. It's kind'a crazy the editors didn't pick that up. I can only wonder if there was a scene cut from that sequence (perhaps Dickie bought a new shirt ???) Still, it's a great film.
@@lepetitchat123 I know what you mean. I used to envy My Cousin, Mr. Popularity, always hung out with the BP's always got away with stuff but now, his Friends got hip to his hype, many of them won't help him or dropped him like a Hot Potato. Now he sees that I have what he doesn't "have" and it's hard for him to acknowledge that I got it through hard work and he got it by living off of other people's gravy.

Do you guys realize that while Tom is wearing his Courdroy Jacket, Dickie's Wardrobe changes. How strange.

@@modfus this is actually a merge of two different scenes at two different points in the film.
Good catch.
I love The Red Bicycle. How much would that go for. I saw a Man with a Coca Cola Scooter and it was fabulous.
Doesn't the Pouch look like something you'd see advertised in GQ. By today's standards, it looks like something that someone would put an IPAD in.
People why would they want to even copy someone? You can't look at who wear ARMAni 2 a Kmart tie?
To Tom, Dickie is everything he had aspired to be. Princeton Graduate, Trust Fund Baby, Fabulously Dressed, and the like.

We all have someone we are jealous of, consciously or subconsciously.
