I would love to be able to on day get a bench for my plot. : 0 )
Hello and welcome to my channel. If you are new here, My name is Lucia and this is my allotment journey.
My 10 meter x 14 meter plot is based in Buckinghamshire grow zone 7.
    WEEK 15TH - 21ST JULY
The weather still isn't great! There has been a lot, lot more rain than sunshine here!! BUT the pumpkin and corn seem to be loving it and really thriving.
I think going forward I may get my spuds in for Christmas and start thinking about winter veg.

Hello Love, I do get a kick outta your channel. You always have a very positive outlook. You know even when we fail miserably we are still learning and growing so I always take experience as a win. The garden is all about today at one level but then for us that take yesterdays failure and reapproach it in the next effort looking for improvement is also important. Yesterday I was telling someone that all of a sudden a few plants in one spot were all being scalded by the sun and died they had been there for years doing quite well. Later in the winter as I was thinking about the problem I remembered an important causation I had overlooked. That spring two large maple trees were brought down in a storm. Without those trees to provide some relief from the sun these plants just burned up. I planted a couple bushes there and Bob's your uncle problem solved.
I do enjoy your channel I was really into your reaction to your decision to plant the tri colored beans and the borlotti style beans. I was thinking to say just whack em in and then you said it. That is the mantra of Emma's Allotment Diaries I do not know if you watch her or that is your own comment. Anyway thank you for this video today Cya next thyme, Steven

      Thank you Steven.
I’ve learnt over the years due to other areas of my life to always try and see the positives in life, and keep myself up beat. Haha and if I can save myself £40 on not having to take my nieces to a pumpkin farm this year, and bring the to the allotment instead…..That’s one massive bonus this year.🤞🏼
I’m a massive Charles Dowding watcher, he’s my david attenborough of gardening, I really enjoy learning from him. whack em in is something I’ve picked up from my dad, we say it a lot when cooking us i involved. What’s Emma’s channel? Be nice to watch a female gardener also.

I think you have a deer problem , probably have to build a wire cage you can just place over your boxes . Something easy to get off there . im sure a nice feller there could help with that !

100% I had a problem with them round winter, even got them on my trail cam! They enjoyed my kale and celery very much!! I’ve been meaning to make those boxes, the wood has been sat in my shed for months now and my dad has a roll of chicken wire for me. I think it’s my own fault for putting it off and thinking they had moved on 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Oh lord Lucia a coat again 🤦‍♀️, we got a tiny abs I do mean tiny bit of rain so I’m watering. Awesome lettuce, if you don’t need the space I’d just leave the corguette plants they may still come with some sunshine. I don’t grow pumpkins but by say end of Aug I’d just cut the end of the vine off and let the remaining pumpkins get bigger. You may have deer in the area can you borrow a trail cam? We have deer but they are kept out of my garden but a big fence. I love nigella and have loads it self seeds everywhere 👍👍. Fab update as always and ask away that is what the community is her for, Ali 🌤️☔️🇨🇦

The weather is so up and down here! Not July for sure! Yesterday it was cloudy and raining all morning (the night before was worse!) and then the sun came out late afternoon. Followed by another day of rain!🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve only had to water once in just under 2 weeks. I know we have deer, I had lots over winter which I caught on my trail cam. They moved on for a while, so it looks like they are babk again. But I refuse to pay out to put a fence up…..yet!! I that to be the very last job I do, and an only if I really have too.
Regarding pumpkins I would love one each for the girls to come and pick, so I really want size over quantity. I went down yesterday evening and the pumpkin plants along with the corn are looking stunning! They seem to be loving all this rain. 🎃
