This is Fiona, and i want to thank you for sharing my video this made my whole week. That boat incident on Pirates was definitely very unique for my husband and I and we've been going to the parks since 2005. We love your videos.
Great editing! We were number 5 and blown away how great you edited the footage from that day. It's fun to get a little behind the scenes look at how TPM vids works!!! 😂
I once saw an interesting malfunction on the Disneyland version of Runaway Railway. It didn't stop the ride, or necessitate an evacuation but it did provide a fascinating insight into how the ride works. Right at the end, as the train was pulling into the unload, the doors on the back of the engine got stuck open. And it showed that when Goofy pulls the wrong lever and electrocutes himself, the light you see from inside the engine is just the same screen used for the hologram doing a white flash across it's entire screen space.
If you noticed in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, when Mickey and Minnie backed up to wait for the next set of tourists, Minnie didn’t look too happy about it. I bet she was thinking “Oh darn, another breakdown? Mickey, we really need to repair the ride than just using duck-tape and super glue…” 😂
I had the best experience ever in the late 2010s, where I got stuck on Splash Mountain at Disney World right before the Laughin’ Place drop. The lights came on, but the ride continued. I also remember at some point that the drop that goes into the REAL Laughin’ Place with the turtles and everything had the worklights turn on just before it, too.
I think you and I got stuck in the same place but in different parks. I got stuck just before The Laughin' Place drop on Disneyland's version in mid- to late-2010s. They were able to fix the problem quickly and the lights weren't turned on (which damn, but it would have been cool to see though).
The same thing happened to me and my family on Pirates last year. We were stuck at the top of the second drop for about 5-10 minutes before we started moving again. Our boat was hanging right over the edge of the drop. XD
I’ve been watching you for 6 years now (the first video I saw of yours was the first ever 5 failed attraction openings) and I’m 14 now and still loving the vids. Keep up the great work!
I always will! Sometimes I’ve gotten stuck on rides for upwards of 15-20 minutes (recording on my phone for a bit of those) and I was excited to send in my in show exit but nope the ride started working again. I guess I just need to buy my shirt lol! Btw I prolly will
Hey I love your videos, but I have an idea I was just on the Disney cruise that went to Australia and saw that there were a lot of different secrets and aspects. I think you should try breaking down the secrets in the different cruises. I think it would be a really great opportunity for a new series on the channel.
I've been stuck at a POTC lift hill. It was pretty long ago now, maybe 2009 or 2010. Cast member that pushed us free got us unstuck, and yelled "No more churros!" as we slipped down. It was hilarious.
6:27 I went through this same exact secret entrance on Rise at Disney World. It looked a lot like a Middle School hallway, that leads you into a classroom taken over by Storm Troopers🤣🤣. It was cool though!
i suffer with a weak bladder so the idea of being stuck on a ride is my worst nightmare... with her saying it was over an hour on the pirates ride i was shocked... i would have been in tears ready to swim out of there
I experienced an in-show exit in Splash Mountain at Disneyland. had to get out of the boat, passed so close by Br’er Rabbit! we exited to outside which from the back looks like a large warehouse with a tall flight of stairs and door. very cool
I love watching the expressions of Mickey & Minnie as their car is resetting. They're in "don't move a muscle and maybe they won't realise things have broken" mode. XD Also that final clip is just one reason why I like people sometimes. See a silly situation and just... add to it. Hype it up. YES!

But this year my family saved up enough money to go to Disney world for Christmas! This channel has been a big part of my childhood and I can't wait to use my secret knowledge to talk my whole families ears off while in the parks. Thank you for making these videos!
There was one time at Disneyland on the Jungle Cruise when the boat we were on broke down and we had to climb from our boat to another boat. It was definitely a unique experience that little me will never forget.

No videoing was allowed as we were walking out but I have great pics and videos of being stuck on top of the ride and interacting with guests down below (and the monorail). It was an epic download. A unique experience. A teenage girl waiting in line dropped her phone on the track and she hopped over the railing to retrieve just it as a caterpillar was exiting the final scene. She almost had A Very Merry UnBirthday but awesome cast members stopped the ride in time.
I was a DLR pass holder for 5 years and surprising only ever had 2 evacuations. Alice and Pinocchio. I loved the Alice one because it took you through the the small repair shop and electrical room that is under and off to the side of the ride. And only a couple of on-ride stoppages and a couple of in que stoppages. The longest on-ride was on PoTC. We were stopped in the Davey Jones projection tunnel for 45 minutes. It got very uncomfortable because there were 4 of us in one row. Turned out there had been a medical emergency at the loading dock. The creepiest was was in Small World. The ride shut down in the Mexico pavilion and they shut off the music. So all you had was the animatronics clacking sound. But that only lasted 5 to 10 minutes. The longest que was at Peter Pan. About 50 minutes. A bird had flown into the show building.
I’ve been stuck twice. The first was cool - haunted mansion ballroom. It was nice to get such an in-depth look at that scene given how fast you tend to go on it. The other was Spaceship Earth. Unfortunately it was between two scenes but I felt worse for those stick where Rome burned because of the fire smell.
The space mountain segment brought back MEMORIES!! I went to Disney my Eighth grade year and we ride space mountain in the morning right before it closed for the rest of the day due to a breakdown or maintenance or something. We went back to the park at night for Mickeys Christmas Party and ride the people mover cuz we thought it would be cool in the dark, and ended up seeing space mountain all lit up! I took pictures but they must’ve been accidentally deleted at some point, but it was such a memorable moment and I was freaking out to my dad because I had done so much park research and watched so many videos on the parks including yours! That was 6 years ago now and at 20 years old it’s still one of my favorite memories because it’s really something you don’t see every day, this made my day :)!
During one of my sister's many visits to Disneyland in 2013, she and her best friend experienced the same malfunction as #1 on this list. Her entire boat was told to rock back and forth which was easier said than done because she and her best friend were sitting towards the front of the boat while the back was heavily loaded. Eventually they were able to get the boat moving but man, did she have a story to tell my mom and me when she got home.

We've been stopped on It's A Small World at Disneyland and they didn't turn off the music nearly soon enough, lol. They told us birds set off the sensors fairly often and then they need to be reset.
Hello TPMVids. I have been watching you and liking your videos since 2017! I can't wait to watch another series of Ride Breakdowns! ❤ I have been a Subscriber since 2017! 😊
Something like number 2 happened to me! I was on with my family and we suddenly stopped in the middle of the race. We saw two cars on the other track zoom past us. We were trying to see if we could see other family in a different car drive past us. Eventually we got moving again (and somehow got off sooner than the other family members).
on my trip to Disney World this year my dad and I got stopped three times on the old people mover in tomorrow land. The first one was in front of the real model of Walt Disney's original epcot. The second time was in the pitch black tunnel of the rollercoaster I can't remember the name of, that was the most terrifying part of the ride. The final stop was at the end of a tunnel before getting to the buzz light year ride. Lets just say that I won't be going anywhere near tomorrow land at Disney World ever again.
All that’s happened with me on Disney rides was getting stopped for about 10 seconds or so. The only true breakdown I’ve experienced was on Wicker Man at Alton Towers. It literally broke down after the first train went. We were stuck in the shed for about 15 minutes before being rolled into the station. We were given bottles of water for the experience. Another time we were stuck in the pre show area when the ride broke down and the work lights came on.
Imagine you're waiting for your in show exit, then right as they get to your boat, the ride comes back up and they just send you through the rest of Small World lol
I loved when I worked at Busch Gardens and I got to assist with an evac. It was always so fun for me. Even when I was at Cheetah Hunt and had to literally RUN across half the park to get to the other end of the ride.
This is going back a long time (1981) but I remember as a kid being on Peter Pan's Flight in Disney World and that stopped a few times going around. Each time we were just left hanging for several minutes before it started up again. What happens if that ride breaks down, it's not just a case of walking off?
Back in May of this year, a friend and I went to Disney World, and we got stuck on Space Ranger Spin. No lights came on, no audio from the ride, only sounds of the hydraulics. I nearly freaked out with excitement because I thought I was about to experience my first In-Show Exit. It wasn't, but one day, I hope I'll get a good In-Show Exit on a Disney ride 😊 Space Mountain would be so cool!
TPM! Did you hear that Epcot forever failed horribly last month. I turned around at about 9:01 and EVERYONE was coming out of Epcot furious! It was a night for cast members to remember for sure!
Like i said before, these series has become my favorite from this channel, so, thanks, TPM, and a happy sunday to you as well. Take care and God bless you. Oh, and greetings from Colombia.
Got to be on space mountain Dland when it broke down. Legit scared me because the lights all turned on, then our cart suddenly stopped. Made me think there would be another coming from behind and crashing. Well turns out every couple levels down there were other carts also stopped. One by one cast members would work there way up and manually push the carts down. When it was our turn to be pushed and made it to the bottom it took another 5ish minutes before things worked again and they let us go through again haha. This happened 3 months ago.
That would very rare indeed. A catastrophic failure. Rollercoasters have block zones, which are areas of track only one train can occupy at a time and at the end of each zone is some method (usually brakes) to stop trains, to prevent trains from colliding with each other.
For #5 I have a similar experience, me and my family not to long ago went to DisneyLand and for our last ride before goofy’s kitchen, we went on small world, the boats and line were going pretty slow and my mom wanted to get of so we didn’t miss goofy’s kitchen, the line was getting better so we stayed and got on small world, it was going good till the ride stoped for a couple music, but instead of stopping the music, it kept playing. But all the boats now were very close together and the boats kept bumping into each other and making it super slow, and it ended up that we were on it for around 45 minutes… while listening to “ITS A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL” we were also late for dinner at goofy’s kitchen but we still got into dinner. That music does something to someone listening to it for 45 minutes…
I love the animatronic malfunctions even though they give me nightmares!! I never want to go to disney land, but watching your videos give me the experience but cooler and also without the loud noises and waiting.
We got evacuated from Grizzly River Run. It stopped right before the big drop. They emptied the water from the ride and we were the last to be evacuated. That was because I was in a wheelchair and the Disney Fire Dept had to come get me. Sadly we didnt get any video of it.
The way the cast members were screaming “WIGGLE WIGGLE!” during the Pirates malfunction would have scared me way more than the malfunction itself, that was really aggressive lol
I am so excited because I’m going to Disneyland tomorrow and really hope I break down on a ride so I can send it to tpm because he is my favorite creator 😊
My god, did I love goood old breakdowns, every time I’m at Disney world I pray that the ride I’m on that it breaks down so I can video it for TPM, hasn’t happened yet but I’m still praying for it
I had the same Buzz incident happen to me just this past weekend! I think its a specific vehicle that it happens on because it was shaking but we never stopped. It also took longer to start working in the beginning.
I know this video is a few weeks old, but I thought I’d mention that something similar happened to me on the Pirates ride last year! The boat in front of us got stuck right after the drop, and we sat there for roughly fifteen minutes before cast members were able to fix it. Luckily there weren’t any problems after that, and we were able to enjoy the full ride!
The fact that Mickey and Minnie runaway railway actually interacts and still goes on while it's broken down is really really cool

I loved how when one person in the car from radiator springs racers said, “Are we on fire.” 😅😅😅😅😅
Dang, that was a real team effort alright on Pirates at the end.
I don’t know about you guys but getting stuck on small world would be a dream come true for me. Especially if my boat got stuck in the finale.
The way the cast members were screaming “WIGGLE WIGGLE!” during the Pirates malfunction would have scared me way more than the malfunction itself, that was really aggressive lol
7:17 when me and my theater group went to Disney for fun we all had a malfunction on this one and I got so excited
I love malfunctions. I'll never get tired of them. They're the best thing on this channel.
I’ve been watching you and dfb so much lately. I’m going to Disney on the 22nd and I’m so exited. Keep up the great vids!
Hey Tpm vids I really like your vids that are Easter eggs and secrets in Disney I don’t know if you can do more of that video but it would be cool.
I love watching these videos
Yay more breakdowns. 😁
Awesome as always. I hope you do an all time top 10 ride fails videos at some point.
I am so excited because I’m going to Disneyland tomorrow and really hope I break down on a ride so I can send it to tpm because he is my favorite creator 😊
I wonder if the exit sign on M&MRR is a California building code/law thing? Might explain why it's not in Florida.
My god, did I love goood old breakdowns, every time I’m at Disney world I pray that the ride I’m on that it breaks down so I can video it for TPM, hasn’t happened yet but I’m still praying for it
Will forever and always be one of my favorite channels 🧡
Did anyone else think of the "What is love?" roller coaster meme during that pirates one?
I love the beak downs because you get to see thing what you can’t see when it’s warming
I’ve been through malfunctions, but never on the ride only in line
Yay I love when tpm posts
I had the same Buzz incident happen to me just this past weekend! I think its a specific vehicle that it happens on because it was shaking but we never stopped. It also took longer to start working in the beginning.
Eek! So excited to have made it in to a video after my first ever Disney World trip!!! What a cool Space run through, too!!
I know this video is a few weeks old, but I thought I’d mention that something similar happened to me on the Pirates ride last year! The boat in front of us got stuck right after the drop, and we sat there for roughly fifteen minutes before cast members were able to fix it. Luckily there weren’t any problems after that, and we were able to enjoy the full ride!
its really cool that they let you walk into the hangar of the first order star destroyer if the transport vessel breaks down.
