9:00 I saw you handsome guys there!!! It was awesome!! Come on!! Voltaire and Mayumi on Playa de los Muertos 🤩😎🖤 wooow that made my trip much beautiful!!. I still have my selfie picture you took there ☺️🎉!! Big hugs to you and your lovely wife 😊 So glad you enjoyed your trip to Sayulita ☺️
Hello, Aurelio and Mayumi! Thank you so very much for sharing all of your fantastic adventures with all of us. As a Metalhead Goth who currently lives in Mexico, it has been so deeply important for me to find specific locations that I can visit with my family where I can not only enrich my soul and culture of the world but also replenish my energies and introspectively reflect upon the things that I can do to make my life more meaningful. Your travel vlogs and beautiful homemaking films on this channel allow me to feel at home and mean so very much to me, because they have allowed me to feel like I can live a beautiful and darkly-inclined life, using the tools that I have to creatively improvise and build extraordinary things and your videos have truly given me respite from life's challenges. They have completely enriched and deepened my love for the Gothic Subculture and have given me the motivation to cherish everything in my life and have inspired me to be a much more creative and compassionate individual as a result. Thank you so much for creating such impeccable artistry that feeds the soul. You are both incredibly intelligent and deeply sweet human beings and I admire your authenticity and love of the unconventional. Your content inspires me to be a better artist and human being. Thank you so much for making us as an audience feel like we are not alone and that our voice matters. Thank you so much for taking us to beautiful Sayulita. I absolutely enjoyed every moment of the journey. With all of my gratitude and immense care, -Marla. 😊 🖤 P:S: As I currently live in Hidalgo in Mexico, I absolutely recommend visiting the magical towns that are located near Pachuca as well! The Spooky Festivities are truly magical and the positive energy and love that you can feel is so very palpable! There are beautiful Halloween processions here and "Real Del Monte" and "Mineral Del Chico" are where the celebrations truly shine, too.
My family is from Okinawa, we celebrate and honor our ancestors and the dead much like they do in Mexico, when my mother went to visit for my grandparents death anniversary,so many of their friends and family came and celebrated their life, basically a nice picnic party. I remember when I visited years ago before they passed , when my grandparents had just built their “eternal home/ true home” tomb, and we visited it with them, my grandfather was so happy and proud of his beautiful tomb. We alway make sure to visit our ancestors when we visit out of respect, bringing flowers , cleaning the tomb and leaving sake
This right here. One i get to live my travel dreams by you and Mayumi, but also seeing Mexico and cemeteries respectfully. Yes it is about seeing the architect of the cemeteries but its also history. I have yet to just go to a Cemetery to admire one, but it shows how one has lived. How loved a loved one is. From an infint passing to an old war soldier, everyone has a story to tell and thats why i cant wait to go visit and admire. Cemeteries are truly a goths safe place.
I live just beside a cemetery, see the tombstones every day through my kitchen window. It's not a depressing view, it's a connection to all who came before me.
Dear Aurelio, your manner, your words when you say encouraging, uplifting things affects me in the best way! 🙏 You relate with people as though everyone is together, accepted & matter of fact. You're never judgemental. Life IS so short, thanks for speaking about it, it helped me 💜☮️🙏
Woahh! Great video as always, you two!! And that is the CUTEST little mango thief i've ever laid eyes on. Also that place is absolutely beautiful and I adored your mention of proper graveyard etiquette for active graveyards. Definetly will take another peak at this video for the lil mango thief thou, that lil guy was an absolute cutie patootie.
Love your videos I love visiting grave yards and cemeteries especially old ones I live in North London England and often visit Highgate cemetery it's so Gothic and spooky but somehow it's also a magical place .There are really old cemeteries in villages outside London Norfolk has quite a few old ones dating back to the Vikings and of course there is Whitby Abby which also has the beach ⛱️
I would have never imagined you were going to have a video visiting Sayulita, which is located in the same state I live. You need to visit El Panteón de Belén in Guadalajara, Mexico, it's an ancient cemetery filled with legends about the tombs; there's one about the spirit of a monk that walks around the place, there's the legend of Nachito, a little kid that was extremely afraid of the dark when he was alive and there are even videos in UA-cam where you can hear his voice (or so they tell) and even there's a very old tree that, the legend says, has a vampire buried underneath it 🦇
Sayulita is such a lovely place! (As is all Vallarta, very recommend) But if you're free a Halloween, Janitzio, Michoacán gets beautiful in Día de Muertos
Beautiful place. I have a friend who loves to travel in that area. That cemetery was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Halloween and Dia de los Muertos are my favourite times of the year seeing how my birthday is on Dia de los Muertos.
I bet that cemetery would be beautiful at Dia de los muertos. I like old cemetery too. Ur hit the nail on the head with how we should respect the dead in the living. ❤😢❤ love mango bandit ,orville went with you in spirit. Look like u guy had a great time. 😁 need to come back to florida and check out Cassadaga home of witches.
what a great way to start October 🎃 i usually hate the beach, but this episode was great :] loved learning about Sayulita (and the little mango goblin is great i love him too Mayumi)
How fun this was! Thanks for sharing your travels to these interesting beaches in Mexico! Your story telling makes it even more spooky 🦇 Looking forward to the next one.
Just watched the video and loved it! This is the perfect mix of everything I love in one video. Funny enough, this totally answers the question I asked you during the live stream about what you do in that jungle of yours. Back then, you said it’d take too long to explain-turns out, a 20-minute video is the perfect answer! I’ll take it! I'm gonna consider this my early birthday present. See you on the 13th, when I'll be turning... good god... 42! 😂
Oh, I love this idea for a video series. Looking forward to learning about new destinations to add to my list. Festivals and conventions would be fun too.
I love visiting cemeteries. I'm always quiet and respectful, I sometimes say the names out loud and say hello to them. Sometimes you can piece together a whole life story when the headstones list birth and death dates and names of relatives who are buried next to them. Like you know who was the parent, child, sibling etc. Once in a revolutionary war cemetery in Concord Mass, I could piece together the story of a young woman whose husband died in the battle of Lexington and Concord, while she was pregnant. Then as a widow, she had the baby, then her father died (who she was likely living back with after being widowed), then her child died. All the deaths close together during the revolutionary war. Just from the dates on the stones you could see this whole tragic life timeline. The woman lived a long time though, so I told her I hoped she found some happiness again.
Truly a beautiful thing to see that cemetery, and heartbreaking in some parts. What a beautiful place with a beautiful culture around death. As someone who can’t really travel it’s wonderful to see such respectful and understanding look at parts of another culture from a perspective of someone who has a similar proclivity for the macabre as me. Wonderful video💖
Wow- this episode has it all - a visit to a beautiful resort near the beach, gothic local exploration, and a spooky bit of Animal Kingdom. Amazing! Yes, I would love to visit Sayulita. 🤍🖤🤍
Totally stay in a spooky hut… love he fact that you mention cemeteries and respect for the dead and our ancestors.. I frequent my local cemetery to pay respect to the long passed away ancestors and patrons that once lived in my hometown..
Please come to Grand Rapids Michigan sometime! I’m 18 and I’ve been struggling pretty hard for a couple of years now, but your music makes me feel like everything is ok. Thank you for all the beautiful music you’ve released over the years, I look forward to your future endeavors! :)
What an amazing adventure! The cemetery brought me to tears with the children’s graves in particular. What a beautiful , and sad at the same time, tribute to their lost loved ones.
You two are the sweetest and cutest couple I've ever seen. I really enjoy these travel videos that you two put up to show us some of the places you've been. It's quite eye opening. My family is from Nayarit, and they immigrated to the US decades before I was born. My whole life they've only ever told me stories about how dangerous and horrible Mexico is. And while no place is totally safe, videos like these dispel so much of the misinformation I've heard from those family members and from entertainment in the US.
Hey during lockdown I got addicted to gothic homemaking, I also spilt a lot of wine. You inspired me to make a table to stop the wasted alcohol and I'm still using it today with very little loss of drink. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
Thanks so much for sharing your trip! The thought of spending eternity by the sea is so lovely and I love how the deceased are still very much a part of the living. And omg, that mango thief! I'm obsessed
I love this new addition to your channel. Goths in the wild! I think the coatimundi is my new favorite animal. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
This looked like an interesting vacation and my teenage self would have loved it. For some reason as I got older I became more of a forest/mountain person. The Day of the Dead celebration is a beautiful time, and even though I’m not part of the culture, it’s a very special celebration to me. It really has touched my heart since I moved to New Mexico 💜🦇
Wow, that is some kind of dedication setting your alarm every 20 minutes. Much appreciated--- the footage was great! I guess visitors would be well advised to leave out an "offering" to the kudamundi gods so they don't get into the refrigerator... and maybe bring a strap to secure it, just in case the offering wasn't sufficient. Love this new travel segment! I also want to thank you for being able to balance your goth life with real life, and bring it into a place that the rest of us can appreciate. Too many goths feel they have to embody it 24/7, and to such an extreme, which can be hard to relate to. I don't consider myself a goth, but I've found myself in the past few years becoming more enamoured with cemeteries (and I'm lucky to have an old cemetery in my town), skull imagery, and all things spooky!
The place you stayed looks beautiful! The little town looks straight out of a movie, the bright art everywhere is great and I love the folk art they are selling! The little mango thief is adorable, but I'm not sure how anyone staying there keeps any fruit (or other things!) from getting grabbed lol! That's awesome you got him on video!
Such a great video, you both are adorable and I am so glad you had fun! It was awesome to get to know about the beautiful Sayulita! I have never been to Mexico but I can't wait to experience it one day!
I took my first cruise in July and was so surprised how much fun I had. I got to see Mexico for the first time and while it was never my first choice (to take a cruise) as a vacation, this goth enjoyed every minute of it!
This was wonderful!! Please make more of these videos. Oh, and I'm all good with staying in the jungle, but something creeping in my hut at night would definitely not sit well with me! And I'm from New Orleans where cemeteries are works of art. They are not scary or disturbing at all.
What a gorgeous place to stay... I don't think I would like to stay in an open hut.. 😂 The cemetery was gorgeous, thank you for reminding us the etiquette when visiting... So important 🖤🖤
Great video. Love saving up a few vids to watch at weekends. Really enjoyed traveling with you both please do more interesting places and let us hear about other cultures or places. Tho tbh would probably watch you do anything hehe just film yourselves eating at your table or doing your taxes spookily 😊
Thank you for join us on our trip to Sayulita! Would YOU stay in a hut that was open to the jungle??? Let us know in the comments!
Never would have thought of it. Please keep doing this on Tuesdays. I will enjoy this segment. You are getting me excited to travel more. I do appericate it.
@@TheLairofVoltaire I might. I’m not typically afraid of critters. I could tell you had a great time, and it was a really beautiful place.
I think it would be fantastic! I’d love to try it! 🖤

That was so cool!! You guys are such a sweet couple! Thank you for taking us on your journey! 😊
💯 That's just what I was going to say! ❤❤
I'm excited to live vicariously through you and Mayumi, and learn more of the spooky hotspots hidden in the light!
Every time i see this thumbnail i think it says "Spooky Spatula" snd then I see the crucifix and have to do a double take.
Same! Lol
The beach of the dead is the best beach ever!!! Happy spooktober

Great video. Loved how you caught the intruder on him. The beach graveyard is nice
Loved the video, the beautiful places you filmed and your wise words!

Beautiful place. I have a friend who loves to travel in that area. That cemetery was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Halloween and Dia de los Muertos are my favourite times of the year seeing how my birthday is on Dia de los Muertos.
I had a teacher in junior high that taught my class about Day of the Dead and wanted us to draw skulls and pumpkins to decorate our class.
I bet that cemetery would be beautiful at Dia de los muertos. I like old cemetery too. I love it thank you for showing us 🧡🖤
It looks like you had a great time!
Great adventures you have. True words, life is brief. Make the most of it while you can and appreciate every moment. Cute little visitor.
Cool place. I love your critter footage. I think that I could stay there. Looks like fun. Great life lesson message too.❤

I'd say I'm jealous but I'm much more inspired! ❤ WOW! What an amazing hidden gem of a deathstination. Xx
I took my first cruise in July and was so surprised how much fun I had. I got to see Mexico for the first time and while it was never my first choice (to take a cruise) as a vacation, this goth enjoyed every minute of it!
I love absolutly everything about this! 🖤💀
Cemeteries are beautiful places. I like going to them and thinking about the people buried there.
Very cool! Love seeing this
it is especially educational when in a country with a different culture

I have been there. Was visited by a coatie. Didn't catch him. Your video was awesome.!
The cemetery is beautiful.
A place to be seen respectfully
