What the fuck does this have to do with bank robbery, and also; how the fuck does one get rich AND famous from robbing a bank? You get one or the other... Jesus.
let's say you're a 1st year apprentice. Your boss tells you to do something and if you dont, you will be out of a job and without pay. You do it because it's the first real boss you have and they're supposed to be guiding you to make you better at you craft. now put yourself in Brax's shoes. 17 year old kid, not getting paid by his org, needs money to prove his worth to his family and is instructed to throw a game by his mentor and leader with the impression that the game wont effect their season because they're locked into finals and they'll receive ~$700 for doing so (again, money was a big reason they agreed to throw the game because they weren't being paid). Valve also never banning anyone for throwing games previous, left them feeling like if they're caught, it'll be a slap on the wrist. For a 1st time offence, for the 1st recorded time of anyone being caught of throwing a match, and for being a minor, Brax (and the other bans in the original list) should've been given a 6 month - 2 year ban as punishment and to set an example to the community of why not to throw and if he or anyone else in the community threw a game in future, it would be a lifetime ban. In conclusion, Valve had every right to ban them, just the lifetime ban was seen as an easy way out for Valve instead of setting a precedent for people in the future. 1st time = 6month - 2 year ban, 2nd time = lifetime ban.
John Smith we're talking about professionals here It indeed is your fucking boss, you're under an agreement and contract, just like in any other pro sport for example
Because many good players who invested money into the game also cheat on alternate accounts. And valve knows, if you give money to a game once, you'll give them again.
They can't IP ban as there are many who cheats on gaming cafes. Most people play in these cafes as not all can afford a good gaming pc. Banning IPs will just decrease their users and valve don't want that loss.
Thomas Hurrell not really I did this when it was actually going on this guy did a recap of it before he was unbanned. And I don't really play csgo I just watch it
nico pratama there’s mountains of evidence lmao. They don’t ban because China is irrelevant and if they banned every thrower in Asia there wouldn’t be an Asian scene.
Log0ut false. By banning throwers, you’re essentially getting rid of those who cannot conceal themselves well enough. People will become better and better at hiding those things. This is similar to the relationship between medicine and superbugs
Pretty sure torqued did the exact same thing and didn't even get a slap on the wrist, I was about to bet on that match to but the odds just weren't worth it, something like 95-5
@َ ٰ bruh... it's not like he used aimbot or WH. He match fixed. Still bad, but it does NOT subtract from his skill whatsoever. Brax is a prodigy, just like the title of the vid implies.
TrouserMonstur There was one player who cameout about it himself before this event that gets a year ban, every other Dota 2 players who attempted to fix matches has been banned permenantly, no excuses
wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Banned_players do some research dumbshit. every player that has match fixed in dota 2 has been permabanned by valve, including prodigies like ddz and smash. solo wasnt permabanned because he was the first known matchfixer in any modern valve game + he was only banned by a league (starladder). the newer bans (ax.mo/sonic) were else league bans, nothing to do with valve (yet).
welp. He obviously meant 322 so your comment is utter crap (pardon my french) - I mean here your first sentence which is bloody dumb as not everyone have to know about dota. To be precise - there were 1 instance where pro did matchfixing and didn't receive lifeban. It was famous solo "322" action and it wasn't life ban because that was first time when someone was found with pants dropped. BUT Valve made big statement that this is last time that they are so benevolent and next matchfixing is permban for any valve event, no matter what game would that be.
Ted Godfrey If he got unbanned and was making $10k a month for being on the starting roster for C9, what motivation would there be for him to do it again?
Muscle memory and tuning your brain for the game. I picked it up CS (keyboard and mouse in general) relatively late (17) and I know I’m severely limited compared to even some of my younger friends who started 13-14.
The members deserved to be banned for sure. Match fixing shouldn't be taken lightly, but the punishment was far too severe. It's like beating someone to death for pushing you over. A 1 or 2 year ban should have suffice, along with effort from the players to show reform. Swag especially has made strides in that sense if I remember correctly. A perma ban was just uncalled for. Especially for someone wasn't even old enough to be considered a full fledged adult at the time.
Even Richard Lewis thinks the ban was too much and exposed that Valve didn't and still doesn't apply this rule evenly. VP and a few other teams were also proven to this and even after the IBP ban multiple Dota teams were proven to of fixed games without even a soft ban given.
If this was a crime and judgement pushed down by the courts swag would have received community service that must be completed before competing and would have no charges for what full grown adults in positions over him orchestrated and executed. He’s not innocent but he’s a child in no position to say no.
At the age of 17/18 I clearly understood what betting money is, and the consequences to fucking with betting money, stop with your "Just a kid" shit, do 13 year olds get a free pass for robbery because they were just kids?
Swag -iwnl- Have you kids ever heard about "Actions have consequences"? Obviously not! There's no difference between fixing a boxing match and fixing a CS:GO match. Absolutely effing none! End of story.
The difference is the word millions vs hundreds. I'm all for punishment, but a 4 year ban from tournament play seems to fit the crime and has clearly set an example as valve intended. No pro is going to risk 4 years of tournament play for some skins.
I get they need to set an example.. but ruining their careers is harsh... $700 is nothing especially in skins... obviously it's not about the money but i just think they should have to pay a fine like they can compete but can't win prize pool money for a few seasons or something but still allow them to be sponsored and have a career... this has gone on for long enough.. majority of people that think swag deserves this is obviously someone who hates on successful people.. the kind that would spit on a Lamborghini
I think you are forgetting that he already has a very viable career as a full time streamer. He and his teammates should be grateful they get to play the game at all at this point.
Stas Twinkleton actually they didn't jack anyone because no one knew that there was a fix till after... it was still a gamble people who bet on the opposite team won money because of the fix.. what you said is irrelevant
dirtyzany considering the fact that ibp was the top na team at the time and netcodeguide was nowhere near their level, basically no one bet on them winning, meaning that they did in fact jack people’s money, so your point is irrelevant
his crosshair placement is better than so many pros because he recognizes holding tight angles challenges your flicking skill and causes more randomness. he plays less tighter angles to catch people wide-peeking
17 He'll never be able to professionally play again and it's all due to a dumb decision he made as a kid. Everyone makes mistakes at that age, they took it too far.
@VeNoM_ERX Pixel Car Racer I have seen recent videos of him playing at dreamhack. I am sure he is unbanned. When I look up his player data, he is confirmed to be unbanned. He currently plays for Team Swole Patrol.
Malony Saint Pierre i didnt say he was unbanned from valve sponsoredgames specifically, plus even the other comments before you also stated that he could play in other tournaments and events so how can i be 100% wrong?
Match fixing is cheating. And match fixing is illegal. So fine, unban him and send him to jail. Would that be fair then? And if you say he was underaged at the time, the option of juvvy could also be done.
It's interesting to see that Swag is getting the focus, including the protagonist treatment, just because he is still streaming. This should have been more about the story of IBP in general, not just one member.
I used to play against swag when I didn't know he was a pro gamer. I'm older. Been playing CS since 1998. So, I don't pay attention to many people. Swag caught my attention when we used to play in the same servers, for years. I would beat him more often than he'd beat me, like 60/40. However, I recognized him as a legit CS player, not a hacker. 4:11 "They added nothing to the roster" Great context
Lmao the music that played during the “expose” part made me feel like I was seeing some real classified government shit😂😂😂
let's say you're a 1st year apprentice.
1st time = 6month - 2 year ban, 2nd time = lifetime ban.
its a fucking shooting game. gtfo with "your boss" bullshit
John Smith we're talking about professionals here
It indeed is your fucking boss, you're under an agreement and contract, just like in any other pro sport for example
John Smith they earn more than you and your father put togethet
You can google a proper insult. that was fucking pathetic lol
Cool story, bro. But here's the reality: they're banned from *parts* of a video game, not from society.
Valve perma bans match fixing but tolerates aimbots, wall hacks etc?
How about an IP ban Valve for those who uses hacks on great FPS games?
Because many good players who invested money into the game also cheat on alternate accounts. And valve knows, if you give money to a game once, you'll give them again.
IP ban is illegal on most european countrys
They can't IP ban as there are many who cheats on gaming cafes. Most people play in these cafes as not all can afford a good gaming pc. Banning IPs will just decrease their users and valve don't want that loss.
@@ShravanJain1996 are there cheats software at gaming cafes?

Thomas Hurrell not really I did this when it was actually going on this guy did a recap of it before he was unbanned. And I don't really play csgo I just watch it
christian higgins are you American or European? If you're American, get it, if not, don't, you don't want to know about the Russians.
Why dota 2 chinese team dont ban?
They are always throwing game for the money
Coz no proof?
Are you shrood or shrode?
nico pratama there’s mountains of evidence lmao. They don’t ban because China is irrelevant and if they banned every thrower in Asia there wouldn’t be an Asian scene.
@@BiscuitFever If they started banning throwers then people would stop throwing
Log0ut false. By banning throwers, you’re essentially getting rid of those who cannot conceal themselves well enough. People will become better and better at hiding those things. This is similar to the relationship between medicine and superbugs
>throw a match voluntarily for money
>get banned
>play victim
>get fan support
>get unbanned
>enjoy
What about 2k18?
tbh with you, he never played the victim. it's his skill that made people and pro players cheer for him
Pretty sure torqued did the exact same thing and didn't even get a slap on the wrist, I was about to bet on that match to but the odds just weren't worth it, something like 95-5
Cheating is never a skill.
I'm glad that his ban is permanently. If Valve accept him back then Valve worth horse excrement. That simple.
@َ ٰ bruh... it's not like he used aimbot or WH. He match fixed. Still bad, but it does NOT subtract from his skill whatsoever. Brax is a prodigy, just like the title of the vid implies.
Didnt a bunch of dota players fix a match and got basically a slap on the wrist compared to this
TrouserMonstur There was one player who cameout about it himself before this event that gets a year ban, every other Dota 2 players who attempted to fix matches has been banned permenantly, no excuses
wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Banned_players
do some research dumbshit. every player that has match fixed in dota 2 has been permabanned by valve, including prodigies like ddz and smash. solo wasnt permabanned because he was the first known matchfixer in any modern valve game + he was only banned by a league (starladder). the newer bans (ax.mo/sonic) were else league bans, nothing to do with valve (yet).
BUT Valve made big statement that this is last time that they are so benevolent and next matchfixing is permban for any valve event, no matter what game would that be.
yep. 1 year ban.
they won 322$ kek

I agree with a ban, i disagree with "the" ban.
Michael Ubiñas It's called a deterrent, it seems to be effective.
Michael Ubiñas this type of behavior should be no tolerance. Which it is.
What i am saying is that it was best to ban them for a year max, but a lifetime ban is way to extreme and dumb.
hes unbanned bro
not by valve. He can't attend Majors. Not to mention the other tournament organizers like starladder, ecs, eleague , Mlg, PGl, and WESG.
This kind of vids and series inspires me a lot and do more on gaming, Great videos, shroud series is the best for me.
I hope Swag comes back with something and he gets unbanned so legend can go on tournaments.
Just makes me so sad. Watching brax play is so bittersweet. He'll pull some crazy shit and it goes from "damn" to "damn :("
Valve: I was about to end this man´s whole career.
Riot:
1:15 THIS KID IS A AMAZING SAVANT
It seems that a big portion of the extremely good players started off playing CS at a really young age
Muscle memory and tuning your brain for the game. I picked it up CS (keyboard and mouse in general) relatively late (17) and I know I’m severely limited compared to even some of my younger friends who started 13-14.
wait you mean to tell me most of the extremely good players played at a young age?!? no shit sherlock
Same with all sports though
The members deserved to be banned for sure. Match fixing shouldn't be taken lightly, but the punishment was far too severe. It's like beating someone to death for pushing you over. A 1 or 2 year ban should have suffice, along with effort from the players to show reform. Swag especially has made strides in that sense if I remember correctly. A perma ban was just uncalled for. Especially for someone wasn't even old enough to be considered a full fledged adult at the time.
strong griefing in a very consequential environment ===== baaaan
2023 and can only think about what this guy could've been. Sadge
Even Richard Lewis thinks the ban was too much and exposed that Valve didn't and still doesn't apply this rule evenly. VP and a few other teams were also proven to this and even after the IBP ban multiple Dota teams were proven to of fixed games without even a soft ban given.
what? Every dota team caught matchfixing after IBP ban was banned for life, including a top 10 worldwide peruvian team
ZJKtown music There was two DoTA teams I think that were banned for matchfixing for 1 year.
which two?
ZJKtown music After IBP, Thats the thing
I mean, I think it is at least honorable that Swag doesn’t use skins anymore. It shows he changed. Great player, greater morals
The beginning gave me CHILLS
Me: Ive watched this video like 10 times
My Brain: Well watch it again!
If this was a crime and judgement pushed down by the courts swag would have received community service that must be completed before competing and would have no charges for what full grown adults in positions over him orchestrated and executed.
He’s not innocent but he’s a child in no position to say no.

#freebrax HES ONLY A KID WHEN HE GOT BANNED . OFCOURSE HES GOING TO CHOOSE SKINS LOL .
No pro is going to risk 4 years of tournament play for some skins.
yes stas they actually do, its called juvenile status.
Stas Twinkleton kinda if they are under 18.

“This guy pre-firing angles that don’t exist” 😂😂
The best part about this video was how it convinced an entire community that swag was a good counter strike player
he did, right?
I get they need to set an example.. but ruining their careers is harsh... $700 is nothing especially in skins... obviously it's not about the money but i just think they should have to pay a fine like they can compete but can't win prize pool money for a few seasons or something but still allow them to be sponsored and have a career... this has gone on for long enough.. majority of people that think swag deserves this is obviously someone who hates on successful people.. the kind that would spit on a Lamborghini
dirtyzany they got wayy more than 700 that's a cover.
Your singing tone would be a lot different if they jacked your betting money with this shtick.

He'll never be able to professionally play again and it's all due to a dumb decision he made as a kid. Everyone makes mistakes at that age, they took it too far.

Perm ban seems a bit harsh, but they can't tolerate cheating as a well.
he didnt cheat. he match-fixed.
Lol vitality throws 2 matches no bans
Throwing is one thing, match fixing is another
why did IBP lose the game 4-16 instead of doing something like 14-16 or go into overtime
They probably didn't think about it wellThey could've also gotten away with it if they didn't tell other people about it.

The dude will always have my respect.
