Slab-building a mug

I made this video for my beginner's hand-building class to review our first mug making project. It starts with the very basics of making slabs with a rolling pin and goes step by step through constructing a straight walled cylinder. Video finishes with a few ideas for slab handles and tips on attaching. I hope you find some of these techniques helpful for your own projects!

Can you tell me the size of your template. The rectangular one used to cut the body of the mug. I am not sure the size to make the diameter.
