Yes and no. While that and Jake and Aiden starting to form a duo by proving the other wrong is nice on the surface level, one attribute they have shown with Jake is having core issues of attachment with Aiden is currently the person he is latching on to.

This was a very good episode. Hopefully the next one is just as good. Loved seeing Aiden do a The Boys reference scene with Alec. Yul getting eaten by Ned was great. Grett and Gabby working together to give Grett the confidence to break up with Yul. All good stuff.😊

Damn, the Alec scene where he is talking about his wife and his son, the divorce and finally explaining the drinking picture from episode 1 of this season broke me. Alec isn’t a saint, but seeing how the divorce was more than him not wanting to be a father but how it ruined him was heart breaking, even if he isn’t a good person.
Still, he didn't wanted to be a father yet in the end was one. A bad one. The neglectful one. The divorce was bound to happen. And I'm not saying he deserved to be broken like that, but still, who else can he blame other than himself? He wanted to "have" a great woman and wife then it's important to be also a good father in the end. It's connected. Honestly, I don't believe he actually "loved" her, but only "having her". If he loved her he would care for things she cared. Like... THEIR son... for example, y'know, I'm just guessing, but usually a child is important for mothers in general.
So Alec, instead for this show being a therapy for you, you should go to ACTUAL therapy that would make you understand that it was your fault and you have to get better while you still can.

I kinda like that we got to see, a more emotional side of Alec this episode, because it previously seemed like he didn’t care about his son, but that breakdown moment proves that he does.
I've always thought being drunk would make someone stupid but I guess there's some exceptions.
