Very catchy songs! I thought it was AI because of the background images. If the background images are really AI, why just not change them? Do you need an illustrator?
Hey Lupidrafox! Thanks for the love and for digging our songs! We'd LOVE to work with a real artist/illustrator who could pour their heart into the cover art, but the truth is we're on a really tight budget. This is not our day-jobs - its embarrassing to say, but we've only made about $1200 total on this project (mostly through Bandcamp), and we've spent significantly more than that just making the just music. Don't get me wrong, we didn't make this stuff for the money, BUT... we've all got families and we can't dump a lot of personal funds into things either. So for now, we're taking steps to adjust how things are done for future release's artwork - but the idea of going back and changing previous releases is unfortunately not a possible thing to do right now. Hopefully someday! In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy the music!
Loving yalls music. I understand that the music isn't ai generated, but are your cover arts ai generated? Just asking cause they look the ever slightest off.
Great question! We don't do the cover art ourselves - but the artist who does said he uses AI for certain things and hand-draws certain things in Adobe illustrator. Then compiles in Photoshop. So I guess it's called "AI assisted art"
You shouldn't use AI art for the album covers tho. You guys now definitely know that your artist uses midjourney, and midjourney absolutely takes from artists
Hey, thanks for bringing this up! We totally get where you’re coming from with the AI art thing. Right now, all the art and music you're seeing was set up to go out automatically a while back, so we can't change those. But yeah, we're chatting about changing up the art style for our next tracks. It's tricky though-money’s tight, as we’ve only made about $1200 from our music and spent way more making it. Our label’s basically just our buddies, and we’re all running on a tight budget. We’re trying to figure out the best way to handle this without stepping on any toes. I’m even trying to pick up some design skills myself to help out (it’s a work in progress, haha). Thanks for hanging in there with us, and for caring about artists. We’re on it-just don't know exactly how to proceed yet. Rock on!
@@AppalachianAnarchy to both you, and the OP of this comment. I wouldn't have been able to tell the cover image was an AI piece of art man. Use it as a reference for sure, and once you can afford to pay someone to do it similarly definitely consider doing that instead. Also, ty for the kick ass music! Just stumbled onto it today and it's exactly what I was looking for.
Hey! Thanks for checking our music out. We're somewhere between those 2 options, hahaha! We're a recording project, for now - so there's no real rules on who plays on what. We have 1 main writer, and then there's 2 more of us who play on most of the songs... then we've had a lot of musicians come sit in and record parts on songs. its ANARCHY, hahahaha We do hope to make it a full band sometime in the future, but we've got to figure out all the puzzle pieces first - so for right now, we're just having fun making music!
Man, I've been playing guitar my whole life - and I've picked up a lot of different instruments along the way. I studied classical guitar in college, but I've always loved weird music. I've never fit in well with the "rock band" types - and I'm not social AT ALL (this has been a crazy adventure talking to people online, hahahaha). Our album was recorded in a hodgepodge of different ways and in different places. Some was recorded at my house with crappy mics, cheap instruments, and a MIDI guitar - some was recorded in a real studio with fancy instruments and gear. Its all over the place! I guess it comes down to when we asked ourselves "do we want to make music" - the answer was yes. So we're doin' the best we can with what we've got. Its been pretty cool that so many people have listened and felt something.
Shoulda called it thrashgrass.

Such a irish meets Appalachia feel, so awesome!

This area is where most Irish immigrants settled...hence why bluegrass sounds an awful lot like Irish/Celtic music
