I literally just bought one of these off of Ebay and am not regretting it! I can't wait to receive it and, based upon this re-review, I am going to have a sturdy 'vintage' laptop to do writing on!
I recently picked up a used EeePC 900A, mostly out of curiosity as I didn't own a netbook when they came out. I've tried a couple of older games on it and was honestly quite surprised how well it handled some of them. GTA San Andreas for example was perfectly playable on low detail.
Yoinked one of those from the ewaste bin. Battery is dead but it works on the adapter. I installed damn small linux on it. Will try find some silly use for it like remotely control another computer.
I have an Acer counterpart with the same specs (as I remember) with a dead power supply and battery. This video has inspired me to pickup a replacement PSU🎉
No, but I use my 2014 iPad (in fact, I watched this video on it) and it is kind of slow, but usable. I can’t get modern applications to run on it, which is a limitation cause my laptops are put away.

It’s interesting to see Window XP on laptops 7 years after it’s release date. Window 7 just got 3 years.
I've got a Samsung counterpart of that but with DDR3 and SSD just to run Retroarch and works like a charm.
Ah sweet, that is some good usage there of a netbook indeed!
@@techwithdaan I forgot to mention the bluetooth USB dongle and the PlayStation-like controller for a better experience.
Oh sweet, good idea indeed!
what systems run good on it? are you able to do PS1 games on it?

1:06 My 2018 laptop can only get a micro 60-ish minutes of battery life.

Oh love it, happy to hear it is getting a revival. I really love this laptop to be honest for retro gaming!
4:14 I think it’s because this netbook is low-powered.

Can u try warzone on dell precision 5520
I tried indeed but it actually runs quite poorly once the laptop gets hot. If it’s cold I can get about 45 fps to sometimes 60 so that is good
@@techwithdaan alright thanks then what about asus rog GTX 1650 ti will it run games smoothly?
I use it On playing Starcraft brood war, kingdom underfire gold edition and diablo 2 Classic.
Oh super cool! Do you have this same model or a tiny bit different?
What Linux based on Debian would you recommend for this type?
debian + lxqt-core
