    Hearing Red cry and him saying that he was happy that the baby was ok and alive and that tiffy was ok too, that bit broke me. They both are going to be such great, loving, and supportive parents.
    I've been having baby fever(I AM NOT planning on having one anytime soon but I get waves of baby fever) and hearing stories like Tiffs kinda reassure me because, I know it isn't the same for everyone, but if I ever went through something similar I kinda know what to expect

      Cuz I too was shocked that no one saw it as a sign to go to the hospital and have it checked tbh (btw I'm not pushing the blame on anybody here, I'm just wondering is all lol).

      @@sumiechieru5507 You'd hope they're educated in all possibilities and if not then in being able to tell when something is out of their league or someone is in a dangerous, potentially life threatening position. Her potentially showing signs of shock after 3 days of labor with only 3cm dilation and the abnormality of the shape of her stomach should've been enough for them to call an ambulance to at least get her checked out if she wouldn't go voluntarily. Yes. Childbirth takes a woman as close to death as possible. It's like nature takes us right to the edge in terms of pain and potential dangers when it comes to labor/delivery. It's very serious. We don't realize it because with modern medicine women and babies normally survive it and do quite well, but it was a very different story before we had epidurals, c sections, medicines to reduce blood pressure, monitors, infection control, etc, etc. Maternal deaths were extremely high before modern medicine. Having a baby at home is like having a baby before modern medicine, except at least we can call an ambulance if things become potentially life-threatening.
      Even today childbirth is the 6th leading cause of death for women 20-34. It's even higher for women over 35. Having a child always needs to be a woman's choice because it is a life-threatenig event and getting pregnant doesn't always mean a woman is ready to give birth. Women need to be trusted to know their own bodies and to make the right decision. The GOP wants to take us back to the old days when girls and women were forced to give birth. Nobody should be forced to do something so dangerous and life-changing.

      She had complications, went to the hospital, and things went fine. Which is pretty standard for home birth complications. Most are not going to stay home if things aren't looking good. But about 90% of planned home births are "successful" and the baby is born at home. Complications arise in and out of hospital, but they are rare. Plenty of births are sabatoged in hospitals, which is why our maternal and fetal outcomes are the lowest and our fatality rates are the highest of the developed nations. The best and safest option is the place you are the mother feel safest. I knew from a young age I did not want a hospital birth, and I had my baby girl at home last December.

    • @rachelcookie321
      @rachelcookie321 Рік тому +22

      @@haleyk7699 in this case they were fine but they were so close to something going wrong. There was obvious signs that something wasn’t right but the midwifes just carried on with the home birth plan. She was 3 days into labour and they didn’t even come in to check if the baby was doing ok. Tiffy and Mario decided to go to the hospital themselves but imagine if they had trusted the midwives and stayed home. It very easily could of gone south and this whole thing could of ended very differently. This was not just a simple case of the midwives noticed something was wrong so sent them to the hospital. The midwives didn’t notice something was wrong and it would of been reasonable to trust Their judgement since they should know this stuff and had Tiffy done that, things would of gone wrong. Everyone came out alive and healthy but it’s obviously affected Tiffy quite heavily mentally and it’s probably affected Mario a lot too. I wouldn’t say coming out of it with quite obvious trauma and almost losing your baby is an ok outcome when all of this could of been avoided if they had gone to the hospital. I don’t blame them for wanting to do a home birth because it does sound like a much nicer experience but it can get dangerous fast especially when the midwives aren’t properly trained.

    • @haleyk7699
      @haleyk7699 Рік тому +6

      @@rachelcookie321 You say with so much confidence that this could have been avoided by being in the hospital, when in reality, no one will ever know what the outcome would have been if they were in the hospital from the start. Sure, maybe it would have been 100% different. But it may not have. Maybe she would have still had a long labor and thus has more interventions that led to their own set of negative outcomes. There are so many women that realize their birth trauma was due to birthing in the hospital and that it would have been avoidable if they had birthed at home. So you can say the same thing for both scenarios in that case. But either way, birth happens only once. You can point out any failures, but you can not make assumptions about things that did not happen. Most hospital births end with mom and baby alive. Most home births end with mom and baby alive. 30% of US hospital births end in C-section vs. 5.3% of US home births. C-sections can be very traumatic for some, maybe not others. I think instead of saying "if she would have just given birth at the hospital ..." we should recognize the failures of her midwife. Maybe "if she would have just had a different midwife ..." but ultimately we will never know. So I'll say it again. The best place for a mother to birth her baby is where she feels the safest, because feeling unsafe will almost always cause issues with labor (it's biological to not birth your baby if the situation is unsafe for you and your baby.) If you feel unsafe at hospital, stay home. If you feel unsafe at home, go to hospital. You can always change your mind, even if you are in the hospital. You can actually just leave. And if you are not feeling right about staying home during your home birth, then go to the hospital. And while we can absolutely look to the downfalls of the midwife, we should recognize that we as women are so in tune with our bodies. The more we listen to our body communicating with us, the better. A bad midwife can make the situation even harder than having no midwife because you second guess your own intuition based on the perceived position of authority over your body during labor.
      Anyways. Birth your baby where you want to and be confident in your decisions. You can always change your mind literally up until the point that the baby comes out.

    Man this made me cry some. I’m so happy and thankful that you and the baby are okay!! I’m so sorry that it didn’t go that great and you had to go through a C section. I can’t imagine how scary and stressful it must have been for both of you. It makes me so happy to see someone who I’ve watched growing up start a family! Congratulations to you both. So so happy everything went okay. ❤️❤️❤️

    First of all (and most important), I am SO happy that you and baby are alright ❤ I know the incision will hurt for a while, just take it easy, Tiffy. I had a c-section (planned) Nov26th 2020 when I had my son, he was overdue and born at 41+6 weeks, he was also a real chunky boy. First thing doctor said about him was "oh what a big boy!". I'm so sorry Mario wasn't able to be with you but I'm glad you had that kind nurse by your side 💕My husband wasn't allowed to be with me either, not cause of covid but because of some infection risk (???) but as soon as he was born they took our son to his daddy. Best wishes to you and your little family ❤I hope you have a speedy recovery! We're now scar buddies! 💞

But your videos made me feel safe. Your kid is so so lucky to have you as a mom! Your so sweet and gentle and caring, and thoughtful! Thanks for everything, you inspire me everyday. love ya tiff❤️

It's okay to mourn the birth you "planned" not going the way you wanted, but I'm so glad your beautiful babe made it into the world safe and healthy, and that the hypnobabies course helped you so much!
