Answering Critiques from Keith Sweat

Rev. Keith Sweat, a Global Methodist Elder, has a blog called Hermit Preacher. He recently published an article “Beauty, Boats, & Bishops,” about what he perceives to be the unhelpful and potentially harmful impact that my language is having around my concerns about the transparency, or lack of it, of the episcopal process in our covenant body. I know that’s a convoluted sentence. He doesn’t like what I’m saying or agree that it is helpful. He doesn’t call me out by name, and his tone is very fair. I thought it would be good to process his piece on my morning live stream and see if a response might be helpful. I hope you agree that it is.
