I was 10 or 11 when the TMNT craze hit, which was about the perfect age I think. I remember thinking that one day these figures will be worth a lot of money, so I bought extra ones to keep packed away until I was older and I’d would resell them. Well, as with any 10-12 year old, this proved to be impossible, as I had opened all of them within the first week, I think. I was also a huge NES fan and player. I got my set in ‘87 because my father wanted to do something really good for us kids, as our home had recently burned to the ground, along with all of our toys. So, it was a welcome distraction from all of that chaos. Great memories.

I had Zoids back in the 80's, loved building and playing them.
Also these Britain's space toys that I don't think get enough love.
Mostly I collect retro games but once in a while I think about some of the toys I used to have and then the nostalgia hits.
Someday I will get to a big game and toy fair and hopefully come away with one or two long lost treasures.
I’m a gamer but I’ve been low key collecting my childhood toys. Great seeing those tmnt and ghostbusters boxed toys, the colors and they look so good the packaging back then was amazing. Boglins madballs I love the 80s grossout stuff . The dinoriders are a sick toy line and you have a nice set of Sega games

Flushomatic is awesome! It’s the first tmnt box I picked up when I started collecting tmnt! Got it from a dude I used to buy nes games from and he had it lying around so I think I paid 10€ for that and then tmnt spiralled out of control for me 🤣🤩

Watching your regular videos I never had any idea how big of a collection you have! Definitely cool stuff and so much variety packed in a small space! Your gaming collection is also quite impressive. I saw a few games in there that I had forgotten about. I like that you have a good mix of gaming and toy collections. A lot of your stuff brings back fond memories.

Ha, no way, Turtles Power Hits! I had that double CD when it came out, listened to it all the time. Very nice collection and a neat display.
Movie Star turtles are my favorite. I was so happy when those came out as a kid because they looked just like the turtles in the movie. Plus, they were rubbery, so when you were fighting you wouldn't mark up your other figs.
Totally agree I remember first seeing them in stores before I saw the movie and tought they looked funny so I got the foot soldier actually and then later picked up mike raph and super shredder 😍😍

Visionaries is a line you would dig. Masters and G.i.joe combined. Of course seeing the way you had your G.i.joe shelf lol. Maybe not your thing lol 😂. Inhumanoids are raw too. Pricey for thous, visionaries not inflated yet. Easy line to complete

looks awesome man..i always loved the turtle van...never had one...but i had 1 that seems pretty rare...the turtle blimp....it was pretty cool unfortunely it got ripped....lol...playing with also

@Ed - First and foremost, great content as always. In regard to your question, I would recommend the Spawn Total Chaos line of toys from the '90s. They would fit in great with your other lines! My favorite is Hoof!

duuude, i cant name you a favorite toy but all those boxed toys gave me a huge nostalgia rush seeing all of them in one place like that, i had so many of those toys as a kid as well so its great to see them still in thei packaging, my kid self obviously took care of that within seconds of arriving back home haha. if i had to choose which toys i gravitated the most to as a kid were the mutating turtle figures and the movie turtle figures allong with the original 10 back line. and the sewer playset was a often played with toy as i lost and broke the most on that in comparison to the other toys it only makes sense i played with it the most allong with the party wagon. great video!
a toyline i also took a little dab into was tycos crash dummies you might find that fun as well

@@EdsRetroGeekOut yea i was missing a lot of pieces on that but no broken parts, also i usually didnt break my toys but my friend from down the street did play really rough with toys though xD, party wagon wise a few years a go i pieced out all the parts i was missing on the party wagon and also applied it with a fresh set of new sticker decals for it so its basically still almost like new appart from the hinge system on the spring door having the plastic warped a bit.
One word: CRAZY!!!

Do you remember the TMNT Hostess pies from the 90's? I loved those pies! It had green icing and custard filling. My dad would buy me one every Friday night when I was a kid!

Two cool (IMO) toy lines that were popular here in North America in the 80's that I noticed are missing from your collection were Bionic Six and Visionaries. Bionic Six had a cartoon that was on at like 6am in the morning (much like the less popular but also cool SilverHawks [also not in your collection, so I guess three...]). The total amount of figures made for each franchise was relatively small, so you could acquire a complete collection more easily, and they really aren't that expensive. All of the cartoons for each of those are easily found on UA-cam, so if they're new to you, it might be fun to check them out! The opening theme for SilverHawks is especially cool and just dripping with 80's flair.

@@EdsRetroGeekOut Visionaries were like G I Joe crossed with the Super Naturals toy line, in that they were humanoids but with holograms on their chests (also like Battle Beast, I guess, another cool toy I collected when I could). Hasbro was responsible for those.
Silverhawks was kind of like ThunderCats in outer space, and the cartoon shared some of the same voice actors. You really feel the similarities when watching those.
Bionic Six was kind of cheesy and the worst of the bunch. It falls in the same vein as something like Captain Planet. The action figures were die cast metal though, and though I haven't actually held one in over 30 years, I remember them being pretty weighty.

My favorite TMNT non-figure item that I had was the TMNT blimp. Figure wise, I really liked Usagi Yojimbo .
A lot of my toys, well, most of them, went to my younger cousins. I don’t mind so much because it was a good home for them, but I am enjoying trying to find things again. Apart from the expense of it 😂

Needlenose and the storage shell turtles are my favorite from the TMNT line.
I'd like to see you expand your crash test dummies and battle beasts collection.
If you don't have any Barnyard Commandos, monster in my pocket, and/or savage mondo blitzers those are some great toys from the era you like. Shout out to mad magazine and toxic crusaders.

Insane! Funny to see how fast the toys were taking over that room. When you got started with YT it was 90% (or more) Videogames. Love your mancave and am def. jealous about a) the Virtual Boy and b) the Game&Watch collection - esp. at that pricepoint! I never come across any at fleamarkets over here :/

I was very blessed as a kid and had nearly all the 80s and 90s toylines, but my parents gave them away when I grew up (except Star Wars and WWE). Can't think about about the value that those collections would have now (had all MoTu-Figures and many MASK, Dino Raiders, Turtles, Ghostbuster Figures and Vehicles) .. especially the MoTu-Collection hits hard :( I found some toys in your video, that I played with but didn't remember like the Toxic Crusaders, many variations of Turtle-Figures and Boglins. That was fun :)
And as a guitar nerd, I love the SG and Dan Armstrong guitars!
Btw I didn't found Ring Raiders; Marshall Bravestarr and GI Joe in your collection. Maybe not your cup of tea, but I enjoyed them too as a kid. Especially Barvestarr and Ring Raides.

Nice collection. A couple lines I think are cool: eagle force (die cast soldiers with rubber heads) and dragon riders of the Styx (very scarce dnd type stuff)

Excellent tip about covering windows up to preserve your collection. I love the display, that 80s early 90s era was truly the best years of action figures. Im a new subscriber but long time figure collector. I have a series of my older videos of my collection rooms but have since moved into a bigger house so I can expand my collection. Im almost finished with my upgraded collection rooms which are sectioned off by theme. Friggin' Awesome Retro Room you got there Ed!? Btw X-Men 2 for Megadrive is also a quite expensive one to get these days, no Punisher of course haha but easily a couple hundred bucks MIB. Ah Dino-Riders from Tyco, bit obscure but a pretty awesome n' detailed line. Had the Triceratops as a child, getting this one MIB today can easily set you back a few hundred bucks.

i still got the fly guy from TMNT too and the TMNT Tournament fighters was my most favorite super nintendo game and a easter egg in it the shark guy is from street sharks. i got super Mario 2 ,bugs bunny castle run away, hunchback of nortdaum carnival games on game boy

I'm like you and collect a bunch of lines but one I really love and trying to complete that I didnt see any of are the coleco rambo toys. The second series is incredibly rare and I'm not sure how they were sold in Europe but in south America they were readily available
