Chucking his shield like that was mad disrespectful 😂
No worries, cap just needs to wait a few minutes for that shield to bounce off the mountain and come back… that shield does NOT obey the laws of physics 😂

Also Captain America: she should be grateful it was me and not Hulk
Well, he tried to intimidate Rogue so fuck that guy.
They actually used the MCU shield sfx here
In the comics, Captain America's shield is made from a unique mix of vibranium and an iron alloy; attempts to duplicate this mixture led to the development of adamantium.
@@SirsasthNigam. The new material that was later used for coating the bones and claws of Weapon X.
@@SirsasthNigam. I thought it was made from an Unique Alloy of Vibranium (The Chocolate) and Adamantium (The Peanut Butter) to create the iconic Reese's cup that is Cap's Shield.
@Fenris30 Yeah that's how it actually is
And I hope they keep using it cause the Sfx are the best

“Or a bomb”
“Or some ice”
Magneto stopping his shield with his Mind and going: bro, stop hurling metal things at the master of magnetism. U dumb?
1:07 A consequence of merging both X-Men and Avengers into the same Marvel universe where it gives out unfortunate complications why the Avengers never seemed to help mutants at all.
Anyone with an attention span will know why: the Avengers *aren’t mutants!* We have Marvel’s Non-Flying Superman, a literal God of Thunder, a Russian redhead spy, this world’s equivalent of Green Arrow, this world’s equivalent of Batman and a big green guy with _breathtaking_ anger management issues … but NONE of them are mutants! Cap was made into a super-soldier by the Government (though whether that was because he had a dormant X-Gene I honestly don’t know), Tony is able to take on heavy hitters thanks to the Iron Man suit, Thor again is a literal GOD, Natasha was trained from childhood to be lethal, and Bruce Banner was made into the Hulk by gamma radiation, the only one I’m unsure of is Hawk-Eye (I have no clue what his deal is beyond “being a really good shot”.
So for the Avengers, seeing what happened on Genosha is no different than it is for (non-bigoted) humans: a tragedy that doesn’t really effect them 😕😕😕
PLEASE READ BEFORE REPLYING: I am only familiar with the MCU Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye). This is the only Team of Avengers I know. So if you want to reply with “well X was a mutant and was an Avenger too”? *I. Did. Not. Know.* And the only Avenger saw seen in ‘93 or have seen in ‘97 is Cap. Please just stop cos it’s getting boring 😒😒😒
Same thing in the comics.
They got their own battles until they have the same enemy
@@LadyLeomon True and that's the MCU roster you're referring to, which is fair as they're more recognizable in the movies.
While in the comics, the founding Avengers are:
1. Iron Man (Tony Stark)
2. Hulk (Bruce Banner)
3. Thor
4. Wasp (Janet van Dyne)
5. Ant-Man/Giant-Man (Hank Pym)
When they band together against Loki, which the same concept was reused in Avengers EMH albeit Graviton is the Starter Villain while Loki is the Season 1 Final Boss.
@@TheWarmachine375 You've never read the Onslaught saga in the comics?
Or A.V.X? Or A.X.E?
The Avengers haven't formed yet,so nonneed to worry about that.

Plus I hope the Avengers show up in X-Men '97.

The nice part with this 90s X-men show is that they can bring back 90s avengers and 90s Spider-Man since in the 90s, those shows did crossover with the 90s X-men show meaning we can potentially see the return of 90ds Spider-Man.

There is a reason why there are conflicts between the Avengers and the X-Men. It's because for the Avengers they have to follow by the book or a code of why they are needed being Captain America always the one leading it. But for the X-Men they focus more caring of Mutants and saving their kind while creating relations but if one of their kind is in danger, they will go all out and screw rules.
Idk why but the X-men sound almost like the one piece crew? Lmfao im sorry if that sounds really stupid but ive been watchine one piece, so i cant help but maybe see a parallel.

But the last time we saw Cap was after the Secret Wars storyline when the Beyonder returned him and the others back to where they were taken. This bothered me so much and nobody is talking about it. A jab saying “I have your shield you can’t do shit to get it back”. Metahumans are from DC Comics. Captain America, and all other Marvel super-heroes who aren't mutants, inhumans, or aliens, are mutates.
They aid each other all the time. Mutants mostly reject any sort of non mutant help.
Kind of dumb for him not to be considered one, his mutation was wilful as opposed to being congenital
So is Spider-Man

Yep. That pretty much sums it up
I mean some X-men have been Avengers e.g Storm,Wolverine,Scarlett Witch,QuickSilver,e.t.c.
Also most of the x-men have it easier than what Hulk and Spiderman go through.
For a while, Hulk was the only outcast member of the Avengers. Then the New Avengers came around, and they were the definition of the outcast team. Second to the X-Men, of course. People really be pissing on Cap because he won’t help. The last thing he needs right now is to cause another international incident, he can’t just waltz in on Mexico like that and participate on some revenge mission. If I’m correct he was doing this unsanctioned search because he also wanted to get Trask in custody, that’s why he was alone. He was trying to help but more discreetly. He has to strategize, think what the best course of action is. I know Rogue was hurting but it was unfair of her to put Cap in that kind position. Just because he couldn’t help due to circumstances doesn’t immediately make him a non-ally. Problem with X-Men writers is that they always downplay the other heroes so that the X-men can call them out despite the help they give.
Rogue like always ruined everything.

Shot in the dark, but I would’ve loved if David Hayter returned to voice Cap. Not only because he voiced him in Spider-man TAS, but he also wrote for the first two X-men movies.
He was a good voice actor, but the smartest thing that Marvel can do is to never let anybody who ever worked on any of the Fox X-Men movies anywhere near this show. Even the interns who cleaned up on set should be banned from going within 50 yards of the building where this show is produced.

He'll find it again 😂
It's good exercise he will find it
@Redbird281
Cap was being a useless asshole.
Why do they always make the X-Men writers always disrespect The avengers 😂😂😂😂
Like literally across all media
So they did free Captain America from the vortex since in the Fantastic Four he appeared in a cameo with the Avengers and possibly Red Skull also escaped with Electro, which in Spiderman was his son.
this right here is why i sometimes hate the avengers and the ff when they have villains like kang or ultron then the xmen must come out and support them from destroying the world but when the xmen are in danger from racist robots hunting their kind down or they are all literally genocided then suddenly the so called righteous heroes have to do things patiently and by the book when they literally break laws if its something they want to do.
Most has to do with bad editors who treat X-men as its own world and everyone else separate from it. Busiek's Kang War story was running at the same time as the Genosha Genocide
I mean see it this way, at least for this continuity and not the comics.
If Captain America, the symbol of America military,is seen working co-operation with an X-men in foreign jurisdiction, it would definitely not go well with political bodies like the UN,China,Russia, and e.t.c.
It's not that Captain America doesn't want to help, its just that he wants to do it quietly solo,in a way that doesn't cause more political unrest, especially after Genosa.
Isn't that also like the consequence of an inherent Marvel design flaw though? They act like the other doesn't exist until they want to combine storylines. I mean also what about The Inhumans, they're practically forgotten. It's also what Civil War was about. Confusion, torn loyalties and ignorance or unknowing is just a big thing of Marvel itself. The three separate groups are a cool idea but what you end up with (thanks to some writers and different visions) can be three separate superhero universes all together. Plus I guess everyone has their own battles to fight at the same time or whatever. Idk man it's fucking confusing. But depending on the plot of whatever Marvel media you're consuming, one group could be the "villain", both could be seen as "the right ones" or a hero in one storyline could be the villain in another.
@@wanda7258Yup,the X-men at times feels like they are in a different world than the rest of the other marvel heroes.
They also always try to make the Avengers uncharacteristically dicks and towards mutants.
@@rachetmarvel931 It definitely depends on what whoever running the project is feeling - what group they prefer etc. I mean I am partial to the mutants, too but that doesn't mean we can have objective storylines and have more joint adventures with all the groups. Doesn't have to be one or the other. Avengers can also face hardships and sometimes the mutants can be dicks, too. Idk why they are kept so separate. Imagine all they could do together.
Really, Rogue? Throwing Cap's shield away? Not cool
Yeah she’s “not cool” throwing his precious frisbee away after he just downplayed near genocide.
I would’ve made him eat it.
This interaction is going to have consequences later. Avengers accusing the X-men of lashing out and X-men accusing avengers of being indifferent to mutants.
I can see onslaught then a battle against the avengers later.
Assuming Steve is even part of the Avengers in this universe. At most he's only been in the present day for a couple of months and we have no idea who finally freed him from the time vortex
They have rogue on camera busting up a military base and then she interferes on a captain America mission. Plus whatever bastion is getting ready to frame them for.
There will be blowback .
I love how the art style makes Cap feel like he came from those stiff 60s Marvel cartoons. Really makes him feel like a man out of time.
Why disrespect Captain America?
Because she is angry after losing gambit
So Victoria Alonso can insert her talking points.
@Grinlock987
Because he’s being a useless shill for the government. If he’s gonna play lapdog, he can play fetch with his shield.
Great, They already character Assassinated Captain America.
How you ignorant
why?
When ever it came to Mutants vs the Government, Cap always stood by the government. Ask Cyclops.
@@AlejandroJavierTeranMartinezES Lmao, This version of Cap would rather tear off his uniform and go to Mexico as Steve Rogers to smash some heads together than let another Innocent Mutant or Person die.
@@JUSLOFI And I’m pretty sure Cap always realizes how wrong he was to side with the Government asap and then helps the Mutants anyways. The only thing they seriously disagree on is How to lead their Teams properly and save the world.
Caps biggest thing was realizing how wrong the Government is sometimes and that he needs to step up himself to do the RIGHT thing. Dare I say, Even someone as crude as Soldier Boy would be more useful than the Cap showed here.
AvX season eventually? I will say its nice to see these characters finally together in this continuity when you had to worry about which studio had which animation rights back then.
Some avengers did make appearances in the 90s show.
I hope spider man returns as well. There are already 2 video games involving Christopher Daniel Barnes as different versions of Spidey.
Rogue actually being a drama queen
Yeah the love of her life just died along with thousands of innocents what a drama queen.
You need help.
@@li-limandragon9287 Nah bro you need help you're commenting under all these posts stressing over fictional characters 😂😂😂.
@@Diddys-BoyToyWhy you do care if it doesn’t matter?

The Person that she stole Her powers from could, Miss Marvel aka WarBird

On Earth, Hulk, Thor, Wonder Man, Vision, Blue Marvel, Ms. Marvel . Outside of Earth, Ronan, Gladiator, Nova, Black Bolt and Silver Surfer. All of these are assuming that she doesn't touch them with her skin.
so how did Captain America escape the VOID from Red Skull (last we saw from the Spider-Man Animated 90s show, THATS CANON with X-Men, and X-Men 97)?
Red Skull accidentally freed him when he escaped, and he was temporarily sent to battleworld by Spider-Man and the Beyonder, but was sent home after the Secret War.
@@marbardan the Beyonder sent everyone back to where they were pre-Secret Wars and have no memory of it at the end of the Secret Wars arc in Spider-Man before the final 2 episodes of Spider-Wars.
🎶AMERICA OH YEAH🎶
cap: I'M AMERICA!!!!
She really needed to throw her Shield that far away, it will take him days to recover it besides that shield is unique to Captain America and seriously he was honest when he said that "his hands are tied" and that "he is doing this by the book", I sometimes don't like when the people are always rude to Captain America and vice versa but that's only because him can't control and can't keep his evergrowing violence in check and militaristic attitude also in check as we all saw it in the comics but seriously that when there are moments that people push and provoke you too far you snap and give them a taste of their own medicine the hard way in an extreme way and mode too
It's not that deep. Cap will get it back 😅
@@terrellthaddies7867 Yeah sure, if the cold weather and snowy storms catch up to him and he needs to be well prepared if he plans om getting his shield back which Rogue throw up far away
@@manuelcisneros3147Meh, he can get another
He can survive in the cold just as well as Wolverine. He's a super soldier.@@manuelcisneros3147
@@manuelcisneros3147 he's literally a super soldier and someone else in the avengers who can fly (legit most of them) can just get it for him? not even a big deal honestly
They didn't bring back David Hayter? What a shame.
True. But they did get Josh Keaton. That’s awesome
David didn't voiced Cap in the OG series. Plus they brought back Josh Keaton and he still sound so good here
@JDMaverick6714 so instead of Naked Snake/Big Boss, we got Major Ocelot instead. Ironically, that makes sense.
I don't really get the hype over Josh Keaton. 🤷♂️
Some people have pointed this out after the episode came out because there's a slight problem with Captain America being here (especially if this show still shares continuity with the 90's Spider-Man show). Captain America is supposed to be trapped in an energy device fighting Red Skull for at least another year and he gets trapped there again until the Beyonder allows Spider-Man to free him for the Secret Wars arc of the final season of Spider-Man. So the question some people have is, how did he get out?
I kinda wanted Justin gross from the ultimate avengers cartoon movie to voice captain America but Josh Keaton is fine
Nice way to send the man a message. ''If you're not going to be the hero you say you are then you don't deserve this shield''.
Showing restraint and respecting Mexico instead of barging right in is why he will always be a better hero than Rogue.
@@huntertuggle2667 I agree
I'm not saying she's a better hero only that he could untie his hands and do more and still show respect and as for Rogue, she just lost someone she loved and thousands of inocents died so it's understandable that she's pissed off.
@@kirstyparkins4395 I completely agree her emotions are understandable and why she can't see what a precarious situation Cap and the rest of the world are in right now.
This isn't just about Mutants Rogue, it's about the world.

This was a great cameo. Hoping to see some more Avengers pop up here and there. Of course not too many as this is an X-Men show. If this show is somehow connected to the multiverse established at Marvel Studios it would be cool to see another Avengers line up. Granted this show is its own thing so even then I wouldn't expect to see them pop up anywhere else.
Josh Keaton playing every superhero in existence
Huh.
I nearly expected they’d have David Hayter reprise Cap from the 90s Spider-Man. (Or Lawrence Bayne from his appearance in the 90s X-Men.)
Aí sim o Capitão América como nas HQs o uniforme clássico isso é uma emoção pra mim!!! X-Men 97 a maior animação da Marvel deste ano!!!

OZT: Operation Zero Tolerance. With Bastion close, as we already saw him in 'Remember It', and Sinister lurking, things are getting a wee bit spicy.
OZT stands for Operation: Zero Tolerance.
I thought I heard a bit of the musical sting from "First Avenger" when Cap appeared. And did he say he has a team? I wonder who THAT could be?
It better consist of at least Hercules and She-Hulk if they want to keep consistency with the MAU, although they're failing with that so far with Cap even being there in the first place since he should be stuck in a pocket dimension with Red Skull until at least 1998
