At first with the xbox it will say "no signal" and then that goes away when the xbox powers on so assuming it's getting a signal. I returned it and am going to try another one. Two things. You dont need to use batteries in the controller if you have a USB-C cable you can plug that into the controller for power thus saving batteries. Also you dont need the app to set the system up.

@@josephyoung3111 well, I went to call their support line and while i was waiting, i used my ipad to setup the console (instead of my cell phone) and it setup immediately. When I was using my cell phone to do the setup it kept dropping the wifi connection at my residence and switching over to 5G (cellular). I am assuming it had something to do with why I could not setup the console using my cell. I hope this may help and I do apologize for not having a proper technical reason why it worked. 😊
