One of my favorite Autotopia vidoes. Two old balding dudes cruising. T-shirt, grey beard, dark sunnies. Are these guys twins? Hooray for the car culture.
Stock Original cars are nice and it’s great some keep it that way…. But nothing beats a modern resto mod that you can drive hard 👍🏻 and not worry about repairs 😎
The only Cars that should be kept numbers matching are the rare ones, like an L88 67' 427 vette, an LS6 454 70' Chevelle, a 66' 427 Ford Fairlane R code, etc
I drive my original matching numbers 68 RS/SS hard daily. And I guarantee that I’m going to make it come 99.9% of the time I can limp it home or fix anything with tools I carry damn near. When modern engine mainly computer or other electronics has an issue they getting towed.
outstanding build ,in my opinion Strope Pure Vision is the best builder on earth ,this Camaro is Strope worthy ,beautiful build mate theres nothing i dont love on this work off art
Such a bad ass cruiser! Nothing insane and everything laid just right from powertrain to, exhaust, interior, wheels and paint! Very Nice, nothing overdone but, I might be just a little jealous! 😁
Thank God it's not another 800hp @ the wheels...even I was going to start wearing Depends (Shawn) just to watch the vid. Very nice build, love me some resto mods.

This things cool. And if you dig into the channel we try shooting big dollar builds and relatable real people cars as well. Sounds like a cool Fox you’re building
@@AutotopiaLA yes I remember those builds early in the channel I was in the first 5 hundred subs but the reach wasn't what it is now is what I meant.. totally understand you gotta do what builds the base..👍and when it's done I will definitely shoot you guys message.. great work from Shawn and the whole team..💯
I really dig how this guys personality is throughout the car. All smiles, no ego or anything even though it is a bitchin build. Thats what its all about!
Oh wicked I've been waiting fr you to do more with these guys. The one with Blank is my fave. The main diff is 69 has flat wheel arches with a lip that trails back from the wheel arches. 67/68 has round wheel arches. They're quite different.
There is something about the halo lights that is spoiling the look of the front of the car for me, but i get the green and the reasons for it. Really nice build. Great work.
Dude that's sick. Love seeing a supercharged LSA in older cars. Since I took the one out of my Maloo Ute and put it in the Monaro (Pontiac's gto), it is a shame the monaro wasn't built when general motors released the LSA. I have the same alpine screen in all my cars and the Haltech IC7 dash in all of them to. O need to get an older car and do a build. I'm itching to but the wife is protesting 😂😂
As a teen crossing over into my early twenties I used to be avid Car Craft & Hot Rod reader back in the 80's, but then I stopped because every new issue had a Camaro on the cover. I Figured Car Craft should have been rebranded itself as "Camaro Craft". While I still love the 80's and pine for it once in a while, it's deja vu all over again. Feel free to use "CamarotopiaLA". I have not trade marked it. I think it has a nice ring to it.
I bought car craft and hot rod back then , top heavy with Chevrolet, a few fords , and anything on Chryslers was a special little treat every now and then .lucky I like them all.🙂
@@barrycuda3769 I’m still surprised at how many Chevy’s are customized over Ford or Mopar. Guess part of it is cost and how many were produced originally. That said, I’m simply obsessed with custom builds regardless of brand. Just another enthusiast
67 and 68 camaro's have the same round wheel arches. 69s wheel arches flatten at thw top. 67s have the smoker's window. Easiest way to tell the year of a 1st gen.
Such a nice, clean, dope ass build, but those damn headlights are absolutely killing me 😅 they wouldn't be that terrible if they were white, but man 🫣 Love the car though, I couldn't build (or buy) one, so you do you man 👌
Nobody has them really they only sold 440k 67-68 combined. And so many were crashed and totaled and all the years there’s really just not a lot of them left. Just social media becoming more and more so you see them more. But when you drive around how many you see? I maybe see one a year besides when I go in my gadget daily😂
@@Thumper68 I see them all the time 67-69. They are all over. Same when I lived in Florida. They have a car show every first Saturday year round. Plenty of them. Mustangs too. I can't afford one at the prices they want.. plenty for sale also. I personally know a guy that has 5 of them. 2 are race cars and the rest are street cars and he's young. It's crazy

100% brother…
There’s a garage that does the 2019 Charger conversion with a 1970 Charger body…

Cool comment and I like this one a lot too
The sound was badass, almost just like the Trans-Am in Smokey and the Bandit...
The car is cool and I like that they have a group of friends with a place to hang out at. Would like to have that in the area where I live.
The rubber at the intersection 😁
Long time drag strip right there
My favorite year of Camaro. This engine bay is cleaner than my kitchen table 🙂 Great car. Greetings

What a gorgeous car. I love the way it sits. It's not slammed. I can't stand air shocks and cars slammed to the ground.
We don't see so much like this inthe UK, 'What a beautiful build', especially with the Tremic manual transmission.

Beautiful 68 Camaro that can get with it love it❤😎🤙

I like the fact that he didn't take ownership for somebody elses hard work on the build.

Beautiful Camaro. The 69 has flattened fender wells. Had a 68 SS, miss it. Not as nice as this Camaro tho. Well done

Super clean look and the LSA always sounds perfect. Perhaps a stupid question, but why the lack of seatbelts in their cars?
