I was proud to be involved in keeping this parade clean and enjoyed working with the other crafts such as electricians who painstakingly kept every bulb lit thanks Kip and Kevin.what a great crew and to the late Victor Morales the best welder anywhere. The parade building was a great place to work.
I so loved this parade as a kid...I was mesmerized by the “Alice in Wonderland” part. But I have to laugh, the giant mushroom at the 6:30ish mark kind of looks like a nuclear explosion!
Ah maybe you could answer some ?'s do you know WHY the Small World section was remoed? and when it occuured? (i'd heard '88 waas it's last year and that the Birthday Cake float took that spot (if so it must have been mid '88 because I found some video from '88 with Small World in butr no Birthday Cake)
@@Cecnorthernohio nope definatly it was Disneyland. Disney World had the Small World section the entire 14 years of it's original run, they DID have a special float in '78 for Mickey's 50th but unlike the 60th float at Disneyland, the float for Mickey's 50th was in addition to the others and didn't replace any other float.
It was reported sometime in 1988 that the small world units caught fire backstage and were so damaged that they weren't repaired they instead got scrapped.
