If you do one ride, this is THE ONE! - Armstrong Connector and Corral

- There are certain rides that I think of as staples of Lake Tahoe riding. Armstrong Connector & Corral is definitely one of them. It's a very popular spot to shuttle every season and is also a good place to park to do a handful of pretty epic rides. Because of that people are typically pretty familiar with it. I did some videos on these trails a few years ago but haven't recorded up there in quite awhile. So with that being said, here you go!

One of the first MTB rides I ever did. Got my ASS kicked on the climb. But it got me hooked to the sport. The views make it all worth it.
I always am so focused on bombing I never stop to get good pics.
Very Enjoyable. Thanks for the ride!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Armstrong Connector is probably my favorite Tahoe trail!
It’s a fun one. It’s also going to need some work after this last fire. 😢
You have some fun awesome energy that make your videos great. 👌
Glad you enjoy it!
Armstrong into Corral is so damn fun. the variety of terrain throughout the full descent is incredible.
It is very different the whole way down.
Great loop here. I coupled this with a Christmas Valley lap and made for a great Tahoe Day adventure.
I did that same ride the first time I did Xmas Valley. Totally agree on a great day!
This is now on my short list of nearby rides that I haven't done that I will have to visit very soon! Hopefully it isn't completely burned up from the recent fires. Thanks for the video introduction and the strava route is officially saved! Thanks brother!
This one did get hit by the fires pretty badly. I know TAMBA has been out there working on getting it back together though.
One of the best trails I've done in my life. Great Video!
It's definitely a super fun ride! If you haven't done Christmas Valley, right now, it's my favorite Tahoe ride.
Gnarly downhill and pretty in pink 🤟
I’m digging the pink 🤘
Love your vids...keep them coming!!! Would love to see you and Bobo do a collab...could be hilarious!!!
Unfortunately he’s on the other side of the country. Maybe someday 🤷♂️
Hey man it was fun meeting you and enjoying a cold beverage trail side. Looking forward to seeing some content from Bend soon. Keep that rubber side down 🤘
Was rad bumping into ya. Thanks again for the beer. That one was tasty. 🤘
I was just in Tahoe last week and the whole "decomposed granite" aka "sand" made me laugh. My 11 year old absolutely got tossed on some of the sand on a trail near Camp Richardson.
Yeah, it's an artform learning how to dirt surf on that stuff.
@@B1KER For sure
Good stuff Robert keep it up. Just remember the types of foods consumed is as important as the exercise. I started indoor track biking and found it hard to drop weight initially. I was at 255lb 5,9ft. Only started to lose weight after I went semi vegetarian only eating beef products 1 weekend a month and chicken products once a week. It’s not that meat is bad it’s that I was over eating. But what is most important is balancing quality of life and enjoying food. Now I am down to 180lb
Great job losing weight bud!
Yeah Buddy! I like that you pedaled up to descend-earn that DH. I’m in Nevada City right now (from Phoenix), but didn’t bring my bike. Definitely coming back to shred!
Also, you inspired me to shed 20 lbs recently!💪🤘
Right on! If I were you, I'd head over to the local bike shop and see if they have any demo's. There are some pretty fun trails in Nevada City.
Another excellent video man. Keep it up 👍
Thanks bud
that was a tight edit man. good job!
Glad ya liked it
Awesome! 🍻
Thanks
aww man you posted this a week too late! I was in South Lake over the weekend and rode on Sunday. I had my wife drive me to the top of Kingsbury and I rode down the Van Sickle trail.
Van sickle is a fun one. It’s pretty short though. Hopefully she drive ya up a couple times. 🤘
One and done for me. I was a little nervous being by myself and there were quite a bit of hikers. I headed over to Bijou bike park after.
At one point in the video the music was in my opinion too loud and your speakover too quiet, but other than that the video was fun and enjoyful, and most important of all the pacing was on point.
It’s tough to get it perfect for all devices. Sometimes it will be on point on my smartphone but sound like 💩 on my Tv. 🤷♂️
Corral's rockgardens are soo much fun. Nothing really challenging about them, just smash them as fast as you can
That’s super accurate
..."or more accurately said...sand"🤣🤣
If you know, you know. LOL
That climb sucks.lol lucky I have a buddy who lives right at the first gate to shuttle me 😜. Great trails for sure
Yeah, we did it twice that day and the second time up the hill I was feeling it.
The thing about that part of the climb is... it BLOWS.
LOL, pretty much.
