Hey Swati. More power to you. You will figure it out. I recently have been in a similar situation. I left my earlier job, feeling I wasn't growing & now I joined a start up, but even this has started to become hectic, my whole schedule is devoted to work, that by the weekend I feel burnt out & don't have time to dedicate to things I love doing. This can't go long. Hopefully, I will figure this out too.
Keep making content. Nothing is more important than you. ❤
Hey, you will figure it out!
I have been following you for a while and I love how honest and candid your content is. It's been very helpful.
Wishing you the best of luck! 😁
Hey hi, Thank you so muchh for your kind words! It really means a lot ❤️
I had the exact same feeling when i was working as a graphic designer... Take a break.. and start fresh..😊 ... You have experience.. thats the main thing... I dont have experience in UX design...😢 Im trying my level best.. good luck to both of us
Ah so sorry to hear you went through the same, I know how terrible it must be!
Don't worry about the work exp, you do got so many transferable skills from Graphic Design as it is not so much different. Just mention that in the interview and you will be good to go.
All the best Nikitha ❤
Even I'm going through the same, I did my BCA and became a graphic designer unexpectedly. I recently lost my job, and right now, I'm feeling completely burned out from the whole job search process. I'm pretty clueless about what to do, I'm not sure if I can aim for the January or September intakes. It's been 2 years since I started my career in design, still I'm sceptical whether this will be a good career path or not.
@@theeswatirai even I quit my job 2yrs back.. from past 6months learning graphic design.. Can you help me to get job into graphic design ..
Exactly, same situation, I was working as ui developer, handling websites, I was part of the marketing team, so I was forced to do the marketing tasks, and I was trying to do it because of the organisation and team flexibility to work from home, even though I was trying to do the tasks and learning them, my managers tried to target me for the mistakes I was doing. I got migraine, I have quit my job. But I'm happily unemployed 😊
It takes a lot of courage to quit without a PLAN B. Reminded of my past quitting photography without PLAN B. Glad to hear you've prioritised YOU over everything else. All the best for your future Swati 😀
Yeah I know it's not ideal to quit before a job lined up but unfortunately I didn't find anything. Sometime its fine to priorities yourself and figure out rest on the way!
Thanks a lot Yeswanth! 🤩
It takes a lot of courage to do it, given your circumstances I really appreciate your honesty and candidness.
I really hope that you find your next gig as soon as you can ❤
Thanks a lot!! To be honest I do want some time off and I don't want to rush into anything until I am truly interested into the company .
Good job standing up for what you believe in! Wishing you good luck for your future plans! ✌
Thank you! Yeah I do what now with what kind of company I don't wanna work.
More power to you! It's a bold move. Don't worry, everything will fall in place for sure!
Thank you so much ❤️
This must have been so difficult to share, but also so important for those who may be going through the same situation. Love this Swati! More power to you and hope you get your spark back ❤ You’re amazing!
It really was but now I feel like I can move on from this chapter and I also wanted to share this part of my life because life is not just full of up's or down.
Thanks a lot Michelle ❤️🫶
This is my situation in India itself. The same toll on my health because I was in a field I did not like (SWE). I quit my high paying job and underwent treatment for an immune disorder which was probably contributing to my health issues. Nevertheless took time to really connect with my self, get out of the fight or flight response and treat my ADHD as well. Now i'm switching fields to design, looking for jobs and upskilling mysel. It is great that you are taking time for yourself, your future self will be happy with this decision. I hope you come out of it stronger
Ah, I am really sorry that you went through so much! It must be so terrible. I am glad to know that you are doing better now and know what you really want to do. Do let me know if you ever need any help or recourses for the design field.
All these things take time, 2 months ago I couldn't speak about it without breaking down but now I at least don't cry when I talk about that phase.
I can relate to this, me too have the same situation , now I am giving first priority to health
Hey Swati, you’ve made such a daring decision. I believe it’s a good move, and something better is definitely waiting for you in the future!
Trusting and listening to your heart is the best thing you can ever do. And you did just that. Best wishes!
Hi Shashidhar, Thanks a lot!
I do think the same everything happens for a reason maybe I will find something better :)
Currently I'm working in a children gaming company as a junior graphic designer, the salary is very very low,and the office is also very far from my house,2-3 hour's journey, and the most worst thing is that I am not doing any work related to graphic design, they just give me work related to making game assets and stuff,I'm just stuck,my family has told me that I should at least work for one year and then leave, for the past nine months I have joined I have been so stressed also I feel like I have lost my creativty,I joined here as a fresher, the office is so far that I can't even practice graphics after reaching home, I just wanted to leave the company but as everyone is saying I should atleast stay a year I'll work here for 1 year get the experience letter and resign and after resign I'll practice graphic designing for 2-3 months and apply in a better company, let's hope I can be successful, the past 9 months in this company is so so stressful, just waiting when I'll resign
Good start! Believing in yourself and focusing on what’s best for you is always worth it. This video gave me the strength to refresh and refocus as well. 👍
So glad it helped you!
The probability of someone expressing themselves candid and trasnparent is very less these days and having that experience of staying abroad and returning India has made me resonate with your words. I really appreciate your efforts and you have taken the best decision I say !
I can relate to everything you said. I'm working as a UI/UX Designer but now all I do now is make posters, magazines, flyers etc which are not related to my position. No new projects are coming, only getting support works on soon to be released projects. I'm not happy with my work too as it is so mentally draining to hear all these passive criticism from my manager on one side and client on other side. Most of the time I have to work on weekends to meet the deadlines. Maybe next month I might resign and look for another job not related to designing or take some time off and then up-skill in the same field.
More power to you.
It takes bravery to make a decision like this. Wishing you all the best as you move forward 🙌
Thank you so much for your best wishes ❤️
More power to you! Feel better. Good vibes on your way!!!
Thanks a lot Kaustubh 🫶🏻
More power to you, Di!
Sharing the highs and lows with such honesty. Sending lots of love and hugs your way. ❤
Ahh thanks a lot ❤
You are going to do great things which are really make you feel better and make you happy, happiness is important, I hope you'll get a new job soon. Wish you best of luck ma'am.
Thank you so much for your kind words Rohit! ❤
Hey Swati! You have been an inspiration for me ❤ take your time and grow stronger 💪 Goodluck!
That's a courageous move, yes things eventually makes sense it will work out for you ✌️✨
It's a difficult decision and the right decision 😊 kudos to you...just have fun and enjoy...all the best 👍 for the future...kahi pahunchne ke lia kahi se nikalna padta hai... journey has just started, wish it will be rewarding for you 🎉❤
Aaaj hi bauth bura lagra tha sab chordne ka soch ke, par sahi me kahi pahunchne ke leye toh nikalna hi padega!
Thank you so much Ankur ❤️🫶🏻
Be strong Ma'am, every things will get better, don't overthink
Yeah thanks Sanjeev ✨
It takes a lot of courage t open up Swati. I am a product designer and I have been in the similar situation last year. Things will be fine trust me.
Thanks a lot Mahmud! Yeah I hope things get better :)
Glad you are doing great now!
It's a wise decision, Swati Raj! It's always better to step away from a role that doesn't align with your passion for UX design, rather than staying in a consultant job that doesn't suit your skills or enthusiasm. Wishing you all the best for your next steps. I’m confident you’ll find a role where you can fully immerse yourself in UX design and truly thrive. All the Best.
Yeah it's better to walk away than finding yourself miserable in the job you're not happy with. Thanks Prasanth 🫶🏻
It must have been tough to take such a courageous and right decision that you made. Wishing you the best! 😀
Thank you so much! 🫶
To live happily doesn't required money ,but to live in this modern world required money but no way related to u r happiness it's all big drama

Thank you so much! It means a lot, I will plan something ❤️🫶🏻
Hi.. don't worry.. everything will be fine..I think God want to give you good option ..all the best..your plan is very much good...i.e. spending time with yourself and family..
Hi Varsha, Thanks a lot! I hope so ✨
No job is worth your mental health. Do you want to be in your parents home or continue your job and deteriorate your mental health more. If you continue your health will deteriorate so much you will need hospital. Choose your path. ❤
you will do well all the best swati
Thanks Himanshu ❤️
Being into grahics design or mix kind role for years feels like a trap, which you cant break easily, there is fear uncomfort of chaning it to UI UX, that is something happening to me as well, though i am good in UI design. I am still bit fearful about UX process.
Much Love Swati 💖
Thanks Aarti ❤️
its been 2mo now since i left my ux job for similar reasons. my only regret is not doing it sooner. i kept putting it off for another year. lifes too short. we need to reframe how we think about work in our lives. doing this is so taboo and it shouldnt be
Last month I quit my elementary school teacher job in Japan even though I completed master's in computer. Planning to move IT job and preparing AWS. I'm not sure will it work. I got very less pay in the teaching job. Sad.................
I am feeling this since 2019.
All the best !
Thank you!
Don't feel worry my observation is ui ux will become more important in future and design will be the future although i am not in ui ux i am devloper, i like to learn about design so followed your channel❤
Yeah indeed. Glad you found my channel helpful ❤️🫶🏻
best of luck for your next adventure. enjoy the break!! btw, was that a DIVOOM product in the background?
Yeah its a Divoom :)
@@theeswatirai I too have a divoom time box and love it 🥰
Best of luck 🤞🏻❤
Thank you so much Navneet ❤️✨
Hey Swati,
I started learning UX UI and I saw your videos, very inspiring & informative..
Future holds better opportunity for you... 🤞
You are lucky to have a supportive family & friends with you, just spent time with them. You feel much better ❤
Take care of yourself
And Enjoy Diwali 🎉
Give time.. Some time.
Hi Rahul, Thank you so much ❤️
I am so glad I was able to help you. Really looking forward to Diwali this year :)
Good luck 😊😊😊
Thanks Uday! ❤️
Good Luck!😄
Thank you Harsh!
It’s the market: the market is bad.
would love to learn ux from you maybe you should create a course when you have free time
I would definitely think about this :)
@@theeswatirai thank you❤️ I am starting to learn UI ux
I am in a similar situation but I am not quitting because I am on stamp 1 too. How are you managing to take 6 months break? What will be your visa status? I am told you have to find next job within 6 months to continue on stamp 1.
UA-cam is your only backup plan
Indeed it is!
Not only UA-cam, but also Freelancing & Gig works (where Swati would be having atleast some prior exposure about how to find projects, interact & maintain relations with clients).
As AI & productivity-enhancement tools are advancing, one may learn one or two popular tools relatable to UI/UX field, to augment own capabilities.
I left previous job in IT, more than 1 year ago, with 4.5 years of experience. I am doing some foundational learnings in Automation & CyberSecurity. Although I gave few interviews, but I couldn't get through, probably partly due to market scenarios & excess competition. Lets see where time takes me.
Good luck to the UA-camr here in her future endeavours.
I left my job yesterday without any back plan due to toxic culture I have 2.5 years in MAANG and now I'm looking for a job externally have I made the right decision?
Hey! I know how toxic it can be. I have so many friends in MAANG who are dying to get out of there so I totally understand.
Now you have taken a decision so just make it right, work on yourself and find something in which you're really interested in anyway you have a good company and experience on your CV.
All the besst!
@@theeswatirai i have 2 year experience at Google and 5months at Amazon will I get better job?
@@akashankolekar2231 Yeah definitelyyyy!!
@@theeswatirai thank you for your response
I have taken this harsh decision 😔
Now I'm feeling anxious whether I'll get a job or not
@@akashankolekar2231 Amazon have the worst work culture, you did right.
Things Happens for a reason more power to you this happens with me too.
Just believe in GOD's Plan, he has better plan💪
Yeah things do happens for a reason! 🫶 ✨
Yes same situation of me
did you faced any notice period issue with the company?
No, we just have 2 weeks notice period.
@@theeswatirai oh, I'm kind of in a similar situation and the notice period is 2 months
Ma'am I am from finance background, Can I switch in Data analytics. Will it be hard for me? Please suggest something.
Instead of doing HCI can I do master's in UI UX design? Is it worth ?
Oh it is the same just check the modules of both and see if that's what you really want to learn.
Courses name can differ but you have to check modules.
@@theeswatiraiOK Thanks.
