      However,
you were fully into the retreat of yourself - along with him -
listening to what is resonate with
      your own^ under-ground-ness,
      and seeing into your near-around-grounds,
and then walking into your own-ever-been
      Open temple of,,^!^
      Isn’t it the-All took place
within the path&space, intensely;; meaning straightwardly,
      by you-r being fully^ there!
      Profound
      Joy together _()_

Be yourself. Figure out what you love and do it everyday. Ignore what other people think, and you'll notice that the right people will begin to gravitate towards you. You'll also start to notice that you care less and less about what others think, because you're perfect the way you are.

Everyone wants to tell you what to do and what's good for you. They don't want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.
Stop gathering information from the outside and start gathering it from the inside.
Eckhart Tolle has alot to offer you. Effectiveness is the Measure of Truth.

A wonderful teacher who not only points to the path each must take to achieve stillness with acceptance but not attachment to thoughts but can actually take you there with the manner in which he speaks and pauses to allow understanding of the stillness between all sounds and thoughts.

His voice is relaxing. I like what he is talking about no one talks about this, like your inner thoughts or desires as windows without any influence or interruption(worries interests or habits), a state of pure being to say.

He's not on drugs, though, very present in this moment, you could see it in his eyes, the way he breathes and speaks. That Deeper presence is in all of us. And when we are in the presence of more concious, we become more concious, concious of our True Selfs.

The stillness in between words that he talks about is a full blown nirvana when trained to recognize it. In that state nobody can possibly be angry or think they are better than anyone else; as we know we are a part of everyone else, just as everyone else is a part of us.

It is a profound wisdom, the feeling of coming home is what is needed. All those negative christians on the forum must realise that their lies and based on fear autoritarian religion belongs to the past and there is nothing they can do about that, what a relief, to breath deep and feel this lightness, no past, no future, no history only the NOW and the bliss...

yeah i do actually, everything he's spouting is ripped off from hermetic books from the 1800s, nothing this dude says is revolutionary, people thousands of years ago knew this shit, and a lot of people already know more than this dude.

+Dsundival Not just as far as the 1800s...what Eckhart speaks about goes back 3000 yrs ago. He doesn't profess to be uniquely "'human"'. That is what the media have stated. There was a shift in his brain that occurred during a time of intense stress which can be compared to a continuous "'high"'. The drugs you take quell the ego. Tolle got the same result inwardly. He isn't the first or last to experience this BUT he is one of the best at explaining it and thereby helping others.

Tolle did copy alot of his teachings from other people, such as Jjiddu krishnamurti, Alan Watts and The Dao- just to name a few. However, this only strengthen my positive attitude towards Tolle. This teaching transcends times and is still very relevant. Tolles greatest contribution is to make the teachings avaliable to a large group of people, who would otherwise not have gained acces to to it. Tolle is a great teacher and im sure hes found peace. And thats about it.

    • @fredrikandersen5112
      @fredrikandersen5112 6 років тому +2

Tolle is not trying to be original, nor has he ever claimed that his teaching is new or hasn't been teached earlier by others. His teachings are timeless however, and they are just as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago. Most people on earth still haven´t understood the truth behind these teachings, so there is still a great need for teachers today. They all teach the same: consciousness.

Despite disagreeing with his mystical approach to live, I have a great deal of respect for Tolle. The world is in a spiritual quandary at the moment. With the old Judeo-Christian religions slowly dying out and becoming outdated, people have less and less established dogma to answer their questions. Tolle is one of the few modern day teachers attempting to tackle this and create a viable system of belief.

I think that Eckhart has it right but he misses a fundamental point about awareness which is that you must do with kindness, and openness towards yourself. Because sometimes that is the only way you can stay in moment when it is not what you want it to be. I would say that Pema Chodron's work is an important companion work to Eckhart's.

I never met a person I liked who didn't have flaws. The most colorful people in life are riddled with flaws and so very beautiful.
People lose sight of the fact that we need to find beauty within ourselves in order to be happy. External beauty is nice but fleeting.

True...and He is 'One with God', "I and my Father are One'...
And we are also 'god seeds' meant to become 'saints' ...
Speak to Jesus directly, LISTEN to him, don't just pray AT him...
LISTEN to what he really says-- not to what 'man' says - what your pastor/preacher says...spend real time in your prayer closet and really find out...for your self.

I still think atheism is justified in light of that....but....it's nice to see someone who can cut through all the BS and point to the truth itself, as experience. 2 years ago, sitting on a hill outside, after a VERY painful life experience, I unexpectedly found myself IMMERSED in love and peace. I've been trying to get that back ever since..

That you are on earth to experiment the contrast of life and learn to LOVE! I see me in you. It took me about 25 years to first live through my indoctrinated belief system, then slowly experiment with my individuality all the while trying to justify my religious core beliefs. it took many years to go from trying to rationalize on top of those beliefs to questioning every one of my assumptions and beliefs that I have acquired. Truly honest questioning is going as deep as you can with all your beliefs and making it clear where they are coming from.

In no way is it evil to let go of ego, uproot yourself from familiarity and travel and show people how they CAN live with peace in their lives. He is not contradicting any moral beliefs. If only there were more people trying to bring this weary world peace of mind and rid us of ego and discrimination. I say kudos Eckhart. You've helped me greatly to acheive peace that I never thought would exist within but that was there all along. :)

Whether he is "right" or "wrong" in the end doesnt really matter, can you use "his" message to improve the quality of your life?, does he make sense of some of the senselessness?, for me? yes he does and thats all one can ask for. Thank you Eckhart.

I love how you can see, at 1:42, Eckhart stepping away from his thought, to make sure his "mind’s voice" is nonbiased. The simple act of closing his eyes to connect within, is so subtle that many people probably miss it, yet it is a prime example of his mental discipline. I would love to be as at peace as him but if being at that level of peace entails having a voice that puts everyone to sleep.. I guess I would take just enough internal conflict to keep interested social interaction. :)

And i would say, i respect the people more, less jealousy more love, started to do the sings visely, become less argumentetiv, started to offer unconditional love toward my family, girlfriend and friends.
Also, i am not impressed with it anymore, but i can see how people enjoy the themselves around me.
I hope i was somehow helpful.

The reason this discussion is important to me is that so many people live their lives as if heaven is some place to "get to" after they die. So they deny themselves so many of the joys in life in order to avoid an imaginary negative consequence in the future. THERE IS NO "FUTURE" IN REALITY. The time to live is NOW. Heaven is right here, inside of all of us, right NOW. And if we are present and conscious enough, we can bring that heaven out of ourselves and into the world, just as Jesus taught.

My favorite aspect of Tolle (and Landmark Education, as Juno writes): empasisis on "being" in the present: "...a lot of people think or believe or know they are being--but that's thinking or believing or knowing, not being...almost anybody can learn to think or believe or know, but not a single human being can be taught to be. why? because whenever you think or you believe or you know, you are being a lot of other people; but the moment you are being, you're nobody-but-yourself."-e.e. cummings

I agree Osho can seriously hit the target. I just finished "Walk without Feet, Fly without Wings, Think without Mind" and it was another great journey (conversation) with Bhagwan. Path of Paradox 1 is a fantastic primer also.

Eckhart seems to be channeling.. Is he? of course, he often says the words come from another source.. there is such a calm that comes over me with his voice. What is that?

Juno: "Your own videos prove you are a bore with radical cult ideals." This is a good illustration of just how broad Juno's definition of "cult" and "radical ideals" really is, seeing as most of my videos have to do with business planning, e-commerce, social entrepreneurship, and economic development. Radical indeed...for someone who hasn't quite caught up to the 21st century. I'm glad that Juno has at least caught up with the "radical cult" of people who use the internet.

We have a lot of the same interests. Saves the day, Liquid tension experiment (not Dream theatre), hypnosis, that's awesome. Best to you, my friend.

Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned.

Transcendental meditation is the way to get to the stillness Tolle is talking about.

While the Buddha lived 500 years before Christ, what I find valuable is the similarity in their emphasis on knowing the truth of peace within, and practicing peace towards all. Living Buddha, Living Christ is a wonderful book & utube video on this.
Most parents care whether their child's teacher is credible; doesn't have an web degree, only.
As for finding truth goes; the state of human affairs and ecology are there for all to see. Do we know the truth when it knocks on the door?
