I saw the Ramones in VA Beach back in '91 when I was 9 months pregnant w/my 1st kid. She's now a concert junkie. I take pride in my creation. lol
bianca was a friend of my parents and we had just fixed up her resting place with all of the little gifts and everything on it recently, before this video was filmed. i happened to skip ahead right to the part where he was talking about her. magical.
It seems to me like The Ramones were eternal underdogs, I love that about them. They weren't the popular ones in school and none of them came from money. Success was not guaranteed. I've seen lots of interviews but I didn't know Dee Dee wrote most of their songs. I'm glad Dee Dee played up to the end and he had good friends like Stephan. Thank you Jordan, thank you.

Huge Ramone Fan here . Love this for being so interesting & informative . It would seem that there was some kind of Ramone Curse ? But through all the turmoil & tragedy they managed to leave behind a treasure trove of the Best Punk ever created . Thanks for this Big Time .

Jordan, I found out about you through Adam The Woo & I got to say I'm bowled over by your great videos. Thanks for doing one on one of my favorite bands of all time - The Ramones. Joey, Johnny & Dee Dee were taken from us way too soon. Dee Dee's death is especially tragic. Thanks man.

I grew up with the Ramones and I used to play in a band and we mostly covered Ramones songs, and this video was awesome for me and I really felt good even though it was sad in the end, how you covered this whole thing. I thank you Jordan the Lion for giving everyone this and it means a lot that you spent the time and used your resources to cover such a specific historic person like Dee Dee Ramone. Definitely one of my favorite of your vlogs, Jordan. Dee Dee and the Ramones remain influential. I was lucky enough to see the last Ramones tour in 1995, when they passed through Atlanta.
I met the Ramones in Philadelphia in 1977. They were four of the coolest guys ever.

My favorite Ramones song is "Questioningly" my High School boyfriend,Dave used to sing it to me all the time! He was a huge fan! I became one because of Dave. I Wanna Be Sedated and Rock and Roll High School also bring back alot of memories! Great Vlog as always!

I visited LA for the first time in April 2018 and on my list of things to do was visit Hollywood Forever and pay my respects to Dee Dee and Johnny. It was bizarre cuz next to John’s cenotaph was Chris Cornell’s grave with bright green grass and a rose on his tombstone. The last time I saw him was a year before in the D, the night he took his own life. It made me so sad 😢

Great vlog Jordan! I remember when the ramones came out. I have a CD titled Sedated in the eighties. It has punk and new wave songs. I introduced my five year old nephew to it and he loves it too.
That story is so sad, I will never understand why such brilliant people kill themselves. 😥

The cat club shows every week were pure rock and roll. I saw Dee Dee play a lot. Got pics and set lists. The Remainz show i saw was amazing... Dee dee said in a interview that Jerry used to call every morning like clockwork to go cop hence is Dee Dee home.. Yes the baxk enterance was how i avoided paying regularly at cat club

This was fascinating, Stefan was fascinating - Just a great, great vlog. The radio station CBS-FM 101.1 is in operation in NYC to this day. When I think of the Ramones, I think of being in school (NYU) - the campus was near CBGB's. The songs go through my head, such a different time. Thanks Jordan.
