  • There are now more and more types of different airsoft grenades, ranging from gas, spring, and sound to pyro and a few more. This makes understanding all the necessary information more difficult than ever. For that reason, we have created this video - to give you a basic rundown of rule sets, as well as grenade types and their (dis)advantages.
    Did you enjoy your time spent with this video? We would GREATLY appreciate a comment, like or a subscription. Have a good one!

    Missed out BFGs (Blank Firing Grenades). In the UK, pyrotechnics are allowed at pretty much all fields and it's seen as part of the experience. You sign an waiver every time you attend the field/site. I think the only time i've been asked to not use them outdoors on grass etc. was during a drought last year as it was very dry.

    I think that electric sound grenades have a great potential because they could make grenades easier and cheaper to use for everyone.
    My only problem with them is that even though I have only seen them used on two game days, on one of them they were already abused. The player using them threw them into a room then went in after it, put the pin back so that it would stop the sound then threw it into the next room. He cleared 3 rooms with on grenade that way.
    If electric sound grenades had a way of preventing this then they could be great.

      @airsoft-explained-novritsch  11 місяців тому +12

      Totally agreed. When it comes to abuse, this is, unfortunately, the risk with every reusable grenade. If players want to abuse them, they will. If you take the spring ones, for example, you only need extra BBs to abuse them. But the truth is that it's a bit easier with electronic grenades. However, in the end, airsoft is a game of honour, meaning there has to be a fair-play system with grenade rules involved.

      hmm, for me, the idea of basically having a throwable "personal attack alarm" is not what I think airsoft should be about, at least let it make a "bang" noise. @@airsoft-explained-novritsch

    I like the reusable gas bb throwers or sound ones. My storm is pretty bulky so rarely use it. I like Thunder Bs but the amount of plastic thrown away after one use is a bit much for me. I take it airsoft innovations is out of business. Those were sweet. The tectonic ones that use primers I am kinda leaning to but I already have low decibel hearing loss and do not want to damage mine and other's ears.

    A really easy impact grenade is just easter eggs full of bbs, it's completely impact reliant so you better be able to throw well, the harder the impact the faster and further they'll go, it's best used against walls or in corners as the wave of bbs travels mostly to the sides instead of up, they only survive one throw but they're like 1¢ a piece so it's a yeet and forget kind of grenade.

    Gas grenades are the best!! The most Realistic and its much more Exciting and a lot more fun!! 💚 The Basic Idea of Airsoft is to copy the Real battles and real Guns, ammo.. Etc..... To make you get a Real Excitement of a Real Feeling which is very very similiar to the Real Military stuff!! 👍😉😎💚

    I prefer springers because on most fields I play on grenades have a fixed radius of impact in which all players count as hit. And they are cheap. I've used 60€ gas grenades before, but after throwing them 5 times they all started leaking and wouldn't stop even after cleaning and changing parts so I resold them.

    Basically its the same thing like for the Airsoft Pistols for example. What kind of Airsoft pistol you prefer - spring type, electric or gas type. Of course - Obviously the best and the most Realistic 1:1 scale are the Gas types - the CO2 and the Green Gas!! So for Grenades - Its the same!! 😉

    When I used to play airsoft a lot about 10 year ago, we would people using either a 9mm blank grenade or for the extream use a blank 12 gauge nade, whhich would just produce a massive bang, not great in a confined space. Ears left ringing!

      Get one of the realistic ones and take it apart. Then place the electronic one inside the shell. You'd most likely have to do some modifications to make it work, but I'm sure it's doable.

    Here in Ireland, its suddenly become a thing that THunder B type grenades are banned at all the sites I play at because they can't be chrono-ed, this never used to be the case but I hear the Garda (Police) started to get a little funny about it. My local site was visited by the Garda on a very hot day last year and all the pistols chrono-ed, including ones for sale in the shop, and all of those more than 328 fps were confiscated.

    10-15 dollars for single grenade? It's not surprising that pyro grenades are not particularly popular in Europe. Like, in Russia cheapest (but still good) grenade cost about 1.5$ (110-130Rub), and good one like TAGinn about 3-4$ (300rub)

    I saw some other channel where they appeared to be using pyro grenades given the boom and flash. But in that same game, they threw one into a room, and someone in that room threw it back at them and blew. So I found this video, and now ask wtf? Dude could have maimed or injured his hand with that stunt. How much damage will one of those do if you're holding it when it goes off? I know nothing about airsoft.

    the very idea of reusable granades makes no sence. not only do they brake by hitting floors and walls, but people step on them and they often simply get lost. i only see them as being used in cqb arenas with sterile environment, where they sweap the floors after each session, playing outside- good luck finding it in the bushes
