I was stuck on this boss and seeing this inspired me to try a melee build of my own for him to feel my frustration and anger. I could never get the kick to activate so I don't have the OS for that and while I did try just punching, I wasn't skilled enough. So I added some shoulder lazers and the pile driver. The pile driver eventually was swapped for a laser sword and I am proud to say it worked, eventually
Theres a build you can make that’s basically the same as this but use the firmeza legs lightest generator you can and fastest boosters you prefer ive gotten up to 418 boost speed before
By the time you get to Ibis, you've already beaten Balteus, the Cleaner, Rusty, two Helicopter Fortresses, The Wall, a Coral Spider, Nepenthes, either the Redguns/Michigan or the Vespers 4th and 5th, as well as the Enforcer of Depths 2. Makes sense : P
I used to think this fight was brutal then I hit ayre, then i got the party in ng+ where you flight King, chartreuse, and Raven at the same time. I'm going to stop opening my mouth cause each time I think they hit a new low of bullying me "but wait there's more" pops around the corner
This is precisely how melee goes against it, and without all of the additional weight of weapons, and the natural stagger of fists, well... I'm not actually all that surprised.
IMO the best opening is to immediately overboost straight for 1 second and then up, and right as your're past it and below it, pop assault armor, turn 180 and punch it in the ass as it falls.
"It won't stop until we destroy its generator!" with just your fists...? Ahh, right, yes, we have to perform a visceral attack like in Bloodborne, and rip out its beating heart - its coral engine.
I’ve never tried this, but my run against this boss was in a similar setup. I have the Nachtreiher legs, Firmeza body, and some VP44 arms. Can’t remember which head . All I know is that I used a bazooka, pile bunker, and plasma launchers. It was fun
As the Self Proclaimed "Best" punching player on playstation, i will be watching this with great intrest. Edit: great job truely. Only one thing you could have done better, i recommend you dash cancel more often. Moving at 600 speed while threatening a punch is nothing short of wonderfull.
I love this video, but it makes me very sad, because I came across this boss last night for the first time and continue to play for an hour and a half and still did not beat her. Yes, I know I should get GUD, but I’m not there yet. This is impressive to watch, this build, and the player responsible can be officially my spirit creature, the pygmy llama is trying, but it’s just not quite there yet 😂
Dude. This boss is not easy. It's so different from anything else in the game with is speed and its tendency to make large sweeping runs as well as moving itself into your blind spots. Good luck on your next attempts. The challenge makes the ending so much more worthwhile.
@@7mpowerdthis, or any build that similarly has multiple explosive weapons. Ibis is most vulnerable to grenades and rockets. And apparently fists too.
