omg I'd heard of the CAGED system but never knew it was an ACRONYM I thought it was like building a "cage" within the frets like a funk box my mind has been blown
Nope the caged system is basically where you take those chord shapes C, A, G, E and D and move them around the fretboard. very cool stuff when you start learning it.... take a D chord and move that chord shape up a whole step and it becomes an E major. move it up a half step it becomes F major so on and so forth. Check out Martys video "what i wish i knew in my first year of playing"
Legit have been watching you for 10 years. Love playing and the inspiration and practice routines from this are literally the best. I tell everyone I learned from Marty on youtube. Perfect for the beginner and the experienced. I learned about the CAGE system, honestly, just about thinking about it, it makes sense when you learn what a barre chord is. Watching this was a confirmation and then some. Keep it up MARTY!!

@@musik4life24 I'm Swedish. Using H for B and B for Bb is just confusing and I'm so happy that Sweden abandoned it. B just makes a lot more sense. The alphabet doesn't go AHCDEFG, does it?
Honestly, the color grade and typography in the opening had a very “Brady Bunch” look to it. No idea why, but that’s what came to mind! Lol.... the colors are great, new cameras?
