After a dismal debate performance, Biden has been fending off calls to step aside as the party’s presumptive nominee. His much-anticipated news conference comes Thursday evening on the last day of the NATO summit.
Wednesday Peter Welch of Vermont became the first Senate Democrat to call for Biden to step aside.
Over a dozen House representatives have publicly called for Biden to end his campaign.
