hi! i never heard of it either and glad you commented so I checked mine..it was not one of the products that were recalled based on the UPC code at the back. based on Beaba's statement on their website, they voluntarily removed those products so that's a relief. it also made sense why they had an option for a plastic bowl but we opt for the glass one instead. i think the other one is the cloud model. I typically let it cool down first before washing if that was the issue but otherwise while cooking in hot temperature, i didnt have any concerns at all. if you are into it's sleek design and efficiency at the same time, i would go for it :) hope this helps! :)
I love this review! I just bought one after watching this, but I have a question. Is it normal to have some black residue where you add the water? I used a napkin to wipe the water reservoir after using it and noticed that the napkin was black from some spots after wiping.
Hello! Thanks for watching! Havent experienced any black residue. How often do you change the water? I would also dilute some vinegar and warm water to wipe down and clean the hard residue. Let me know if it works!

Isn't it annoying that it doesn't steam and blend by itself? With that extra manual step to transfer the food, one can easily work with an individual steamer and blender, don't really get the benefit - especially at the given price point?
hi! there was- last 2019 but I checked my upc code at the bottom of it and it wasn't one of them..as per their statement on their website, they removed them from the market as soon as they found out. search Beaba neo 2019 recall and they provided their the range of the codes which were included in the recall..hope this helps :) thanks for watching!
Une stupid question : let's say you want do some baby food with mixed food : (like meat and veggies or meat and rice) can you just every ingredients inside the bowl at once or it's something that's better to leave it to the DUO? Thanks!
@@paulenenistal the two portions the blender and the base do not connect. It's like trying to plug a square into a triangle. They do not fit together. The one time I managed to shove them together the whole thing leaked. Awful.

i did with my previous recipes..i cooked them separately on a pan then puree it to my desired consistency (mixed veggies, rice and chicken)

This machine is a nightmare. My blender never plugs smoothly Into the base. It just leaks everywhere. Awful.

sorry that happened to you..I never had issues with mine except I got burnt from opening the lid.it was sooo hot😬
