So sorry about your father... totally agree with your first place... it broke me in places I didn't know I had... and those empty places😢... you came up on my feed this morning.. so happy it did... new follower from Belgium... happy & beautiful new year !
I gotta admit I was personally offended by you saying you didnt like Challengers 😂 but All Of Us Strangers was a transformative experience for me. It absolutely gutted me and it broke my heart but also tenderly put it back together. Such a surreal and specific yet very relatable movie about the human experience. Reminded me of how I felt watching Aftersun, also starring Paul Mescal. I watched it when it hit Hulu and have thought about it consistently all year. Im sorry about your father. Looking forward to your reviews in 2025!
Wonderful bro..... I thank you sincerely for this list...... As usual, you did not disappoint me..... I am happy for the numbers 23, 11, 9, 6, 4, 3 in the list... But I admire you for number 1 in the list...... Thank you very much for that .... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Happy New Year 2025!
A good job explaining why you 'liked' the films you listed. I haven't seen nearly as many films as you, but thought Eastwood's'Juror #2' was very strong despite a script that felt like 'not a final draft'. Acting is great. And most compelling reason to watch is for us all - What we do in his situation?! And/or what have we done in less dramatic but comparable dilemmas in our lives.
- Anora - The Substance - Wicked - The Wild Robot - Hundreds of Beavers - Dune Part 2 - Furiosa - The Brutalist - Nosferatu - Conclave - Challengers - My Old Ass - A Real Pain - The Seed of the Sacred Fig - The Count of Monte Cristo - All We Imagine as Light
Hey I want to write and direct animated movies similar to Pixar, Disney and dreamworks and studio ghibli but I also want them to have there own feel to it. I want them to be emotional and tell value able lessons. Do you have any tips/advice or anything in particular. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 14. Flow 13. Wicked 12. Transformers One 11. Sing Sing 10. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 9. Inside Out 2 8. Conclave 7. Anora 6. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 5. A Real Pain 4. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. The Wild Robot 2. Dune Part Two 1. The Brutalist
Conclave is up in my top 3 of the year. Finnes performance might be up there as one of the best of all time for me. The ending lands for me, as it never felt like it had 'an agenda' nor was i offended by it...just a left field choice i enjoyed.
