Back in the day, Triumphs were my favorite British Sports Cars.... but either they always to expensive or you just couldn't find them... So i had VDUBS and a bunch of Spridgets. Finding your channel is like a Walk Down Memory Lane!!
Hi Elin, I looked at this and thought I've seen that car on TV, in the 1980s UK detective series Bergerac set in Jersey (that is the Channel Islands nearer to France than England) but it turns out that this car was earlier than the TR3, a Triumph Roadster maybe another Rusty Beauty in the future but I don't think many were made. Your one looks quite solid from what I can see. Good luck with this one. Have a great weekend!!
You guys and your collection of beauties and Rusted beauties… as long as you have ‘one’ ready for Pennsylvania in September. I hope it’s the GT6, since I love those cars and want to drive along side it. I’ll be filming you!
I lost track of which body and which chassis went where, but thankfully, it doesn't matter since I still don't have a TR3. Good for you guys. I really think Elin should have a TR3! Nice one, David.
Congratulations on the "new" car, I am looking forward to see this one getting restored, I hope your parts stockpile has parts that fit. Looks like you need to do a video of repairing pickup bed wheel arches one of these days.
At this rate you’re going to need a house with a still bigger garage! You can’t keep them all outside or they’ll deteriorate. 6-car garage plus workshop needed!😊
Elin, I remember seeing two videos you did a few years ago of a sidescreen TR that you bought with lots of spares. But it never got any further. Is that right?
@@RustyBeauties I have a restored TR3 done back in the early 1990s. Still same paintwork. Only 20,000 miles since rebuild then. Was a rust bucket. Very fast. Only issue: scuttle shake at 60 mph. You drive out of it. The way I see it, everyone we find is SAVED from oblivion and makes me happy.
You've almost got a "shitoad" of Triumphs, Elin. A lady friend who is a stand-up comedienne with 6 kids explained that SIX is officially a shitload. I feel really inadequate... I only have 1.25 Triumphs: a TR4 with a random collection of spare parts. I do hope to get a mismatched bunch of TR3 parts some day, to build a "Beta". But I probably should finish the TR4 first, eh? 😎
What a great couple of guys

That chassis looks good.. interesting see the perspective from each other’s videos..
My first Triumph was a 1954 long door TR2 .. Needless to say I'll be waiting with bated breath for you to begin the restoration of the 1957 model 3..
Tush is your " Pusher " ( Drug Dealer ) for your Addiction !! 😱
That was quite the shell game.
That was fun…so, now you know what You are getting 😉 congratulations on your new rusty beauty.
You guys sure have a lot of Triumphs!😀

Yeah, that was a shop project in my workplace. I quit that place and I believe the car got sold after without any work being done in it.
@@RustyBeauties I see. It had lots of new spares with it.

Hello Guys
Has David lost a lot of weight? Your videos when you work together are SO Good!
I’m afraid I haven’t lost any weight although I need to at some point….
Nice Elin! I like those black wheels that were on your new TR3. What brand are they?
Hi Graeme, the black wheels are actually staying with me. They were made in the UK by a company called M.A.G. Industries.
@@cheftush very cool wheels they really change the look of the TR3
that looks about 2yrs worth of work
Spray the car with old oil...to protect the rust!! While it sits awaiting your talents...
