In this lesson, you will learn how to solve percent problems using the fraction representation of a percent. A percentage literally means "per 100", so every percent can be expressed as a fraction. This fraction representation can be used to calculate percentages of numbers. Here we multiply by the fraction to obtain the percent of the number, and discuss what the percent means in real life examples.

What i love about your teaching style is that you are constantly repeating and explaining what you are doing. You dont assume we "get it" after a few problems but rather you continue to explain the steps you take to solve equations. Youve earnt a subscriber! Keep up the great lessons

Just a reminder to all that 100 is divisible by "2, 4, 5, 10, 25, and 50" only... therefore, it won't work for numbers not divisible by those numbers that I have mentioned...
    For example, 27% you will get a Decimal Fraction of 1/3.703 or 2.7/10... example, 97% you will get a Decimal Fraction of 1/1.0309 or 9.7/10... example. 81% = 8.1/10 or 1/1.2345... ex., 36% = 3.6/10 or 1/2.7778... ex., 43% = 4.3/10 or 1/2.3255... ex. 3% = 0.3/10 or 1/33.3333... etc.
    Proper Fraction have NO Decimal Fraction Equivalent, like for example 10% = 1/10... ex., 4% = 1/25... ex., 5% = 1/20... ex., 25% = 1/4... ex., 50% = 1/2... ex.,60% = 3/5... ex., 45% = 9/20... ex., 75% = 3/4... ex., 80% = 4/5... ex., 90% = 9/10... ex., 12% = 3/25... ex., 24% = 6/25... ex., 35% = 7/20... etc.
