Raghu Seetharaman Not everyone can be a gym teacher. All of my gym teachers had to have a certain degree in college and had to take classes about physical education and stuff like that. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman who’s a teacher because some women can be stricter than guys and have more education . @@lilir9359 And all those degrees in college are painfully easy to acquire. As an engineering student, we usually knew who the kinesiology and exercise science students were because they would be partying all the time instead of studying. And it does matter if the teacher is a man/woman. Women have less physical strength, athleticism, and reaction times than men. That is simply a biological fact. If you are looking to push students physically and athletically, it doesn't help to have someone who sets the benchmark to a biologically inferior height. And, no offense, the initial wanting to be a gym teacher comes from a person who acknowledges they don't have the intellectual capacity to keep up with more rigorous disciplines. Sorry, facts don't care about your feelings.

I want to see a lot more punishments in schools for people like this. Detention and suspension aren't enough. There should be jail time involved to set the youth of today straight so they understand some things cross the line between acceptable behavior and cruelty.
unless the parent can put them in the scared straight program its impossible :*( some parents dont even care and some are even naive they dont dig deep into the story

Wish more teachers stood up for students like this one. Back when a girl bullied me for 5 years straight she had every teacher convinced she was a great person because she was an honors student and could do no wrong and even convinced people into the idea that I was bullying her (TOTAL BS). it's bad I relate with carrie so much
Christina Kim lets just say she's a know it all, and she takes advantage of her fathers power so she could have anything and everything she wants. It's ridiculous.
In theory, she probably could've taken down the video and deleted it from her phone to get rid of the evidence. But then again, since it's pretty clear that she hadn't thought to do that before going to the principal, no way she could've tried to do it during the meeting without getting caught.
She's not stupid, but at the same time that video is a trophy. She revels in the pain of others and she herself probably spent many nights watching and laughing at it. She wouldn't give that up for anything. One thing that really disturbs me about Stephen King Bullies is they act like the world would end if they stopped bullying.
I believe there was a scene where she posted it on youtube; even if she deleted it there, wouldn't there have been a copy of the action in youtube's records that would still exist to be possibly subpeonaed?
It usually takes a month for anything deleted to be erased so even if she deleted it, it would still be found in the recently deleted folder. If the video wasn’t viral.
I love how the camera zooms in slowly at Chris's face as Ms Desjardin explains the consequences of the video. It shows Chris's slowly reflecting of her actions.

@@davids.7567 Agreed there are a lot of differences. Regina loved to be popular hence why she would be nasty behind peoples back with her 'burn book' rather than bully them to their faces Chris however bullied and humiliated Carrie in front of everyone and only had 'friends' because they were probably scared of being her next victim if they didn't go along with it
Her father should of punished her as well if he was a decent parent who actually wanted his daughter to grow up to be a decent person. Instead he just enables her behavior by defending her which makes her just as bad as her
He probably wanted/needed to get back to his office or to court - the time here dealing with Chris' latest trouble likely forfeited him a lot of valuable billing time. He should have taken away her phone and car, anything she really treasured even if she paid for it with her own $ (she's underage, not an emancipated minor so one of her parents would have had to co sign for any contracts she had entered into). Real problem was years earlier since neither parent bothered to slap her in the rear end when misbehaving - but sadly these days no matter how hard the slap it's considered child abuse.
@@alexisdiva9 Point being that there was nothing really to defend here its not like Carrie provoked her into filming a video of her. Chris just did it because she hated Carrie and wanted to terrorize her. If prom meant that much to her then she should of just left her the hell alone.
+Jeronimo McArthur You can tell just by the look on her damn face. This is what I meant when I said she's 40% idiot. And I'm surprised she's still attending at that school despite having an IQ of 140, receiving over 73 detention slips, and putting a firecracker in a girl's shoe.
So Chris thinks because her dad's a lawyer she's above the law and can do whatever she wants....and she also thinks that people can't do bad things to her or say certain thinks to her because "her father was a lawyer"? She thinks she can talk to a teacher like that and treat her classmates like that? My entire year 4 class got held in at lunch once because someone stuck a kick me sign on a girls back. Where do these kids get their nerve from?
She’s a horrible, nasty, vindictive, spiteful person. She doesn’t feel any shame for what she did, to Carrie. Chris is spoiled little rich girl who’s used to getting what she wants and has never heard the word no. Although this time she didn’t get what she wanted, so that’s very satisfying to see.
Remember, you reap what you sow. She couldn't let go of being a bully, being punished for it and just had to exact a petty revenge, and payed in blood for it. A fitting ending for such a character.
Holy moly, I didn’t realize until now that was Hart Bochner (Die Hard) playing Chris’s father. Geez, this would’ve been a perfect movie scene if he either came in rubbing his nose, the principal offered him a Coke and he gives a look, that says, “No, not that.”, or did his iconic laugh, that we remember him for….
What Chris is thinking at the end of this scene. Someone please resurrect that bitch and stuff her into a Fazbear suit and throw her into the fires in the deepest pits of hell. (Glad I got that out of my system)
Yes. She wipe that smirk off her face as Desjardin explains the possible consequences of that Video. I’m wondering how Mr. Hargensen would react if he had seen that Clip.
This scene strikes a chord. I've recently been expelled from college for lashing out at some assholes who wouldn't stop provoking me. And THEY get to keep attending.
That's the reality of anti-bullying policies. While bullying itself is prohibitied (even if said policies aren't well enforced), violence, even in response to bullying, is a guaranteed suspension, if not outright expulsion.
Here’s how you realize that that video Chris took exists Miss Desjardin actually said up front that if the video isn’t there Chris should be allowed to go to prom, with that level of confidence it’s pretty easy to figure out that the video does exist
why do everyone wants to go to prom? I mean, is that a big deal? For me, I'm not into things like that. Like, the hell I care about proms.I'd rather stay in my home and watch movies than spend alot of money buying dresses.
I agree. When I was in high school, I didn't go to prom. I didn't have a date but that's not the reason. The main reason is I really didn't feel like I wanted to go.
"She used the word 'shitty'. She's really abusive." And it's NOT abusive to bombard a girl by ganging up & pelting tampons at her? Desjardin's punishment in this movie was NOTHING compared to the well-deserved punishments dished out by the teachers in the other 2 movies.
After the prom night incident and the deaths of Christine Hargenson boyfriend William Nolan, Christine‘s mother divorced her husband because their daughter is behind of the merciless Jokes on Carrie White
This movie version, although not having as much horror than previous entries, is SO much relatable for abuse and feeling sympathy for Carrie while simultaneously hating Chris for what she did. Props for the gym teacher for giving Chris a deserved burn, I might add. 👍
Not only was Chris a terrible person, but did she not think about deleting the video after she uploaded it, and did it cross her mind that if she refused to give them the phone they would be suspicious of her. Apart from her being a horrible person, she was a very stupid bully.
1911 VsGlocks deleting the video wouldn’t of made a difference. The school could’ve just asked the company for IP address of the uploader. It would’ve been traced back to her.
If the principal had a computer in his office he could of just gone to youtube and searched for it regardless whether Chris gave him her phone or not. I cant believe that idea never occured to eitheir the principal or the gym teacher and honestly even if Chris had cooperated its really not up to her dad on whether or not she gets to go to prom its the school's decision.
Plus she was keeping the video as a trophy. Chris took great amusement in tormenting those she sees as beneath her, such as Carrie White. On the day of the incident there is a scene showing Chris sharing the video with her friends. And later she hacks the video monitors at prom and plays it from her phone, as if humiliating Carrie with the blood dump wasn't enough. No amount of revenge was enough for Chris and she would stop at nothing to 'punish' Carrie, because she saw Carrie as the reason she was barred from prom (while denying her own shitty behavior).

The principal should have just logged onto UA-cam, pulled up the video and shown it on his computer. Then Chris should have been expelled. If her father tried to file a lawsuit the school could use that video in court as evidence.

She pretty much gave herself away by refusing to have the principal look at her phone. Detention and suspension isn't enough for punishment. Her being expelled and being put on house arrest or getting arrested should be her biggest punishment posting an inappropriate video.
Chris is nothing but a piece of work, I would have liked to see the look on her father's face he sees what a horrible person she really is and I would like to see how she reacts when she hears her father saying she's grounded. Chris should have been in juvenile detention for girls or prison and as for her boyfriend what do you all think he belongs to jail maybe? I would have liked to see the other students parents react of what they did to Carrie, they be punished as well. I really hate how others been treated like bullying, I had to help someone on the year of 2001 when i was a child who was once been bullied back at Terramar Ridge kindergarten. I wrote a note to the principle and explained the whole story and that kid did the same thing by writing a letter to the principle as well. The principle was both unhappy after reading our words about what happen and had to make a call to the bullies parents and proud that we had to inform the grownups what happen that very day. The bullies were suspended for three months and doing community service, and we were rewarded with pride, the principle announced a program of "Stop The Bullying, End The Bullying". As years rolled by I Graduated HighSchool and never been bullied again, there's is a lesson we all must learn from our mistakes or else we will be doomed to repeat them.
But not this time, if he sued and lost, the school will counter-sue him, he will probably lose his job, his house, and have his financial assets frozen.

We had someone like Chris in our school, in my class. Her mother sat in the school council and her dad had a software company, aka a lot of generous donations went to the council, so their daughter got through school easy. Just as an information for people who think that this is just fiction.
She complained about the fact that her teacher used profanity and was being abusive meanwhile she flat out said "F*** you!" to her teacher. It's funny how bratty kids will rat on what the teacher said/did but they never tell what they themselves did wrong. 😕
I cant believe Chris's dad hes just as bad as her if not worse. If he was a man of decent and moral character and wanted his daughter to grow up to be a decent and compassionate human being, he should be fucking mortified and he would make Chris be held accountable for her actions. There's nothing to defend here its not like she was provoked she willingly did this for no real reason other then the fact that she hates Carrie. The apple doesnt far from the tree and Chris's dad is a huge enabler here. If I were her dad I would of said to Chris you either cooperate and give the principal your phone or not going to the prom will be the least of your problems.
This scene is so satisfying No matter what version. The queen bee of the school is being brought down to reality shooting herself in the foot because her ego needed a trophy she didn’t think it would be used against her (she could have put it on her computer and deleted it but didn’t think of that unaware it would turn against her)
I think her dad wanted reassurance that she didn't do it and was against that type of behavior too. My parents would have BEAT my ass if I was anything like her. It's big deal in my family to be kind to everyone.

Yes, Judy Greer is quite versatile! She's done voice work for several characters, including Cheryl Tunt in "Archer." Her voice acting skills really shine in animated series.
How old is Chris? 17? If she is, then she's still underage so her father should still discipline her and take her phone if she doesn't give it to the principal instead of spoiling her and sueing anyone who tries to bust her. Be a responsible parent and recognize that what you daughter did was horrible. Uploading a video like that can destroy the victim's life.
+KLAEmiDidact She got 73 detention slips and missed 50 of those during her time there. 20 of them were due to her harassing students with some kind of physical problem. "I mean, I dunno I AM JUST A GYME TEACHER." LOL I would love to gave her as my teacher for EVERY SUBJECT LOL
And they don’t choose to be gym teacher because they don’t have a good education. They could teach any other subject but they choose not to because they WANT to be a gym teacher. You’re stupid and ignorant
@ Smarter people move on first, so who is stupid here? Obviously you're the last comment after his
@ You do have a point, but ignorant masses can't be educated. Did you go to high school? People say the idiots from schools change afterwards and become model citizens. I was proven wrong by both elementary school and high school. I mean, I don't judge as my country is as fucked up as it is.
@@lilir9359 You said it!
TheCoolProfessor sometimes jail don't even teach people to behave. You have to have the right personality to change. Yes she does deserve punishment tho.
Nah. Just a good old-fashioned intervention
in my state bullying is illegal so chris would diffidently go to jail for doing that.
Keep in mind a lot of bullied kids will end up in jail for daring to stand up for themselves.
Wish more teachers stood up for students like this one.
Back when a girl bullied me for 5 years straight she had every teacher convinced she was a great person because she was an honors student and could do no wrong and even convinced people into the idea that I was bullying her (TOTAL BS).
it's bad I relate with carrie so much
There is a fact to that issue. Mr. Miyagi (from the karate kid) said "they aren't bad students it's bad teachers."
She sounds like a sociopath.
Same though this was me dealing with a sociopath as adult. I feel for you
so sorry to hear that
I wonder what made Chris into the monster that she was in this movie. It looks like she has daddy issues. Or maybe she was just born that way...
Christina Kim lets just say she's a know it all, and she takes advantage of her fathers power so she could have anything and everything she wants. It's ridiculous.
Darius French She was a psycho.
Christina Kim Psycho isn't the right way to describe her.....
Darius French Then what is?
Lmao, TRUE.
If she posted the video online (and something tells me she did,) deleting it from her phone wouldn't have made a difference
@@Shanethefilmmaker She texted Sue Snell a minute before dumping the blood on Carrie spelling out what she was going to do. Yes, she IS stupid.
I wouldn't say reflecting. I'd say realizing she's screwed.
I gotta say she's an amazing actress she did this role beautifully. If you watch a movie and the character makes you hate them like there a real person you are the shit lol..great acting in this movie.
The way she walked out of the office tells everyone that she did make the video.
even her farther realiseing she filmed it was very angry with her he knew it was true now and was probably very angry at her for it well that's what i think
drummerboi357 Yeah.I think she noticed and slightly flinches.
No because she later said that he is suing the school
@@Jay_Gut001If her dad was worth his salt as a lawyer he would know that not only did he have no case, but the school could - and would - cross-file against Chris on the same grounds, and Mr. Hargensen would likely lose the lawsuit, his career, possibly be disbarred, as well as Chris's education and reputation being completely sunk. No employer would hire her and no university would admit her. She could also face criminal charges.
If I were Chris's father, I would snatch the phone away from her, give it to the principal and never let her have a phone again for a long time.
Same here
That’s assuming John pays the phone bill and internet. If Chris has a job she might be paying for it herself
A dad like that? Would have probably still tried to justify his daughter's actions. In the eyes of people like him, their kids can do no wrong
If he had a son he'd probably defend him for raping a girl!
Send Chris to reform school.
After the prom night incident and the deaths of Christine Anderson boyfriend William Nolan , Christine‘s mother divorced her dad because their daughter is behind of the merciless Jokes on Carrie White
That gym teacher seemed like she was satisfied with herself
Why shouldn't she be?
Chris is making Regina George look like a saint
I totally agree. I think she and Regina would totally not get along at all.
@@davids.7567 Agreed there are a lot of differences. Regina loved to be popular hence why she would be nasty behind peoples back with her 'burn book' rather than bully them to their faces
Chris however bullied and humiliated Carrie in front of everyone and only had 'friends' because they were probably scared of being her next victim if they didn't go along with it
Even Regina would be disgusted on Chris’s bullying.
You gotta love the way Ms Desjardin knows exactly how to call her bluff.
I bet she was waiting for the right time
"God Dammit, just give them your phone Chris."
*LMAO*
The father is even losing his patience with her.
I would like to be his father and he gave a slap
Hahaha! She's busted!
Yeah........ And the evidence of incident proofs that Chris took a video and posted via online.
Yep she created her own evidence posting that horrible video was what got her kicked out and she deserved it
***** Indeed
+Jeronimo McArthur You can tell just by the look on her damn face. This is what I meant when I said she's 40% idiot. And I'm surprised she's still attending at that school despite having an IQ of 140, receiving over 73 detention slips, and putting a firecracker in a girl's shoe.
+student seven May I remind, the firecracker incident resulted in that girl losing two of her toes.
The dad “Just give ‘em the damn phone Chris” 😂😂
So Chris thinks because her dad's a lawyer she's above the law and can do whatever she wants....and she also thinks that people can't do bad things to her or say certain thinks to her because "her father was a lawyer"? She thinks she can talk to a teacher like that and treat her classmates like that? My entire year 4 class got held in at lunch once because someone stuck a kick me sign on a girls back. Where do these kids get their nerve from?
Because this horrible, nasty, bitch is used to getting her own way.
He even already knew something was up with her when she refused
she should be ashamed of herself
i know right
She’s a horrible, nasty, vindictive, spiteful person.
LOVE the teacher! LOVE her in every movie she is in! 💘
This actress did a great job playing a mean girl
1:42 the way how Chris stormed out of the principal’s office, automatically she’s guilty!!!!!!!
I'd have added 'The defence rests, your honor.'
What Chris is thinking at the end of this scene.
"oh my gawd, my asshole rich dad who totally lets me down all the time is so useless... why can't I do whatever I want and get away with iiiiittttt nyah nyah nyah bleuaaaaaah life is so unfair bleuuuuuaaaaah everyone always picks on me and I do nothing to anyone I'm so pretty and nice and everyone just want to be mean to me I just don't get iiiiiittttt nyaaaaaaaahbealeuaeuoaelaeu"
it was seriously satisfying watching her face explode through a windshield. she deserved ever pain stacking moment of it.
Spectre Yeah that be more satisfying
Someone please resurrect that bitch and stuff her into a Fazbear suit and throw her into the fires in the deepest pits of hell. (Glad I got that out of my system)
Jeronimo McArthur Very good point, but I like to keep things short and sweet. God damns all liars and whores. Chris is going to hell.
Debra Ahern My quate was only long cause I want to yell that to Chris infront of her face and you're damn right that's where she's going
Jeronimo McArthur Tell her Carrie sent you.
Dsddy's not ganna save you this time when came to the video being heard
Love how at 0:33 Chris is smiling like saying " i got what i want" but at 0:42 she's like " i'm screwed."
I know right. She can't even maintain eye contact afterwards. 🤣
Here’s how you realize that that video Chris took exists
Miss Desjardin actually said up front that if the video isn’t there Chris should be allowed to go to prom, with that level of confidence it’s pretty easy to figure out that the video does exist
Damn..daddy bore his teeth and nearly jumped outta his seat..give them the damn phone..lol
I'm glad they included this scene. This movie included more from the book than the original movie
OMG, when her father told her to “just hand him her damn phone” I busted out laughing an evil laugh, like Freddy Krueger!! Boy did she deserve that!!
exactly: he insisted not to make the situation worse
@@ANIMATIONLOVERBT she should have just handed over her phone; either way, she still wasn’t going to go to prom.
why do everyone wants to go to prom? I mean, is that a big deal? For me, I'm not into things like that. Like, the hell I care about proms.I'd rather stay in my home and watch movies than spend alot of money buying dresses.
+Hailey Young That's a good question.....
I used to think like that, but Prom can be a special night. I don't know how to explain it, but i went this year and i honestly had a great time
EXACTLY!!! What's the big deal? prom is meh
I agree. When I was in high school, I didn't go to prom. I didn't have a date but that's not the reason. The main reason is I really didn't feel like I wanted to go.
I guess it's just me. I love getting all dressed up and going to thing like that.
Mrs. Desjardin was an absolute queen in the movies.
my teachers were saying "shitty" when I was in 6th grade lol
She retreated like a coward when she realized her father wasn't even on her side.
That's a real parent, not acting like their child's friend.
"She used the word 'shitty'. She's really abusive." And it's NOT abusive to bombard a girl by ganging up & pelting tampons at her?
Desjardin's punishment in this movie was NOTHING compared to the well-deserved punishments dished out by the teachers in the other 2 movies.
Chris thought Carrie DESERVED to be bullied/harassed, therefore she tries to argue 'we didn't do anything wrong!'.
0:56 that look he gives Chris. He is like, "if this is true, then YOU are so DONE with prom."

@@manuelgrothe608 I did not remember this part in the book. Good move by her!
This movie version, although not having as much horror than previous entries, is SO much relatable for abuse and feeling sympathy for Carrie while simultaneously hating Chris for what she did. Props for the gym teacher for giving Chris a deserved burn, I might add. 👍
By some strange reason, this scene feels timeless.
To be fair, in the smartphone era, nothing is deleted or forgotten from the Internet. Remember, people can screen record or take screenshots online.
@@davids.7567 exactly. The teacher too could open the internet link and therefore the video, to prove her accusation
0:34. You see. That one moment where Chris thinks she's gonna win. Ha! I can't stand people like her.
Fantastic job, Daddy Hargensen. You deserve a “Daddy of the Year” award. I’ve never seen no daddy do better than you. You have been officially successful in conceiving and raising a psychopath. Great f!cking job.

The principal should have just logged onto UA-cam, pulled up the video and shown it on his computer. Then Chris should have been expelled. If her father tried to file a lawsuit the school could use that video in court as evidence.
Well she won't be going to prom cause she's dead 😂
Chris deserve to get in trouble for bullying Carrie & being disrespectful to the gym teacher
I really how Chris's dad agree with the gym teacher and the Principal.

I'm so glad Chris got what she deserved for all the evil she's done to everyone around her.😈
She pretty much gave herself away by refusing to have the principal look at her phone.
Detention and suspension isn't enough for punishment. Her being expelled and being put on house arrest or getting arrested should be her biggest punishment posting an inappropriate video.
proof she's guilty i'm a security officer in Australia and with that evidence she could be thrown in prison for 10 years
I never would have believed this! The student who refused to apologize - a coward!
for me chris is the real monster of movie
Even my sister and I think that Chris should give the principal her phone to prove her innocence.
Thing is, she never was innocent
Darius French We agree.
I really hate how others been treated like bullying, I had to help someone on the year of 2001 when i was a child
who was once been bullied back at Terramar Ridge kindergarten. I wrote a note to the principle and explained the whole story and that kid did the same thing by writing a letter to the
principle as well.
I admit that was a good movie
Jesus! Chris's dad ain't fucking around! O_O
I think this is the reason why Chris is so mean, because her dad's a lawyer, so she probably thinks she can get away with anything
But not this time, if he sued and lost, the school will counter-sue him, he will probably lose his job, his house, and have his financial assets frozen.
@@philipcearley1992In both the book and the 2002 version the principal vows to cross-file against Chris and Mr. Hargensen if he tries to sue, on the exact same grounds. Mr. Hargensen is forced to drop the lawsuit for exactly the reasons you state.

Those brats deserve whippings.

Chris Hargensen makes Regina George seem like Dora The Explorer

I forgot that Judy was in here as she voiced Carol/Cheryl in Archer
Yes, Judy Greer is quite versatile! She's done voice work for several characters, including Cheryl Tunt in "Archer." Her voice acting skills really shine in animated series.
How old is Chris? 17? If she is, then she's still underage so her father should still discipline her and take her phone if she doesn't give it to the principal instead of spoiling her and sueing anyone who tries to bust her. Be a responsible parent and recognize that what you daughter did was horrible. Uploading a video like that can destroy the victim's life.
Yeah, she is 17. The troubles didn't start there, though
+KLAEmiDidact She got 73 detention slips and missed 50 of those during her time there. 20 of them were due to her harassing students with some kind of physical problem. By the way, that girl had a harelip. (shrugs)
and how do you know that? You read the book?

The girl who played Chris and carrie played really awesome and great
The gym teacher, Judy Greer, didn't look that much older than the students but she was 38 in real life. I still go for the original actress Betty Buckley from the 1976 film.
