Breastfeeding is supply and demand. Even if you feel empty and pump it tells your brain hey my baby need more so that you will produce more! You are doing great one day at a time. As my mom always told me babies don’t come with owner manuals haha. ❤️

Mom tip! When he is in the bath, put a washcloth over him and pour warm water on him. It will keep him nice and toasty and he'll enjoy it more. My little guy wasn't too sure about the bath until I saw that on another youtube video and it just made so much sense. Love your sweet little family!

You’re doing so good girl!! It’s so hard, my son is almost 5 months and it’s extremely difficult but you’re an amazing momma either way! Breastfeeding is supply & demand so nurse nurse nurse or pump anytime he needs a bottle! (Also make sure your flanges are the right size on your pump- it makes a huge difference!!) :) can’t wait for more mommy content!

You’re doing a great job. :) I’m pregnant with baby number 5. If you don’t already have one get a Haakaa it’s a lifesaver. You just put it on the opposite breast while feeding and it automatically collects the milk that comes out while breastfeeding on the other side. I do not like to pump and I rarely ever did but the haakaa helped me to have enough extra milk for bottles. :)

What brand of diapers do you use? I wonder if trying another brand might help with the leaking!! I loved this vlog. It is so real! I’m a postpartum nurse so I love to see these kinds of videos. They help me to understand and be able to educate my patients!

Breastfeeding is hard. Because people don’t educate us like we need and are so quick to tell us to quick. But yes! Latch him as often as possible, because that tells your body to make more milk🍼🥰 we struggled hard in the beginning with breastfeeding as well. You’re an awesome mama🤎

Fenugreek tea helped boost my milk supply. I didnt like the taste but drank it anyway. The #1 thing is supply and demand. Even if you feel empty after he is done feeding, pump anyway every time (it is ok to skip pumping for the middle of the night feeding) and your milk supply will increase after about a week. The more you pump, the more milk your body will produce. I needed a stock pile of breast milk to go back to work. You are doing a great job! Hang in there . Do what is best for your baby. It will get easier. Roman is absolutely adorable !

Did they ever check him for a tongue or lip tie? It’s actually very common and can affect their latch and your supply. Breastfeeding is supply and demand so if you are not outputting your supply will lower. I had my son’s lip tie evaluated and clipped by Dr Poulsen at Princess City Dental in Mishawaka. Definitely recommend her! It was a quick procedure and drastically improved our breastfeeding experience, but getting a tongue or lip tie corrected also is recommended for other reasons such as speech, eating as they get older, etc.

You’re doing great mamma. Pump pump and then pump some more! Supply and demand. The more you pump (demand) the more your body will produce (supply). I exclusively pumped for a year with our first who’s now 3.5 due to a rocky start with nursing. Then with our second who just turned 1 in November I exclusively nursed until just after their first birthday along with pumping to keep my supply up and stockpile some milk. I have quite a bit of frozen milk to give her ~5-6oz/day now that I’m done nursing. I even give our 3 year old some when she’s sick. Anywho keep up the pumping!! Especially until your body regulates.

Breastfeeding and pumping together is a good thing, by "asking" more through pumping, you get more milk and should be able to Breast-feed exclusively.
I know, because my children have had this as well. In the first couple of months there is no schedule, but what I do know is feeding, 1 hour playing and than nap time. Even if it seems he is not tired, he is.

I am 8 months breastfeeding and supplementing. We primarily breastfeed and supplement when he needs more. It works for us and it’s amazing. He is happy and healthy. He was born at 5 pounds and 14 oz so he was super tiny. It was disappointing at first but I had to detach my own feelings from breastfeeding and make sure I thought about baby and his needs.
