@@TheRealTrigger2007 As far as I remember they don't track at all, or the tracking is extremely poor compared to forward fired missiles, but yeah that doesn't matter at near point blank range
@@RookFox They do turn like 90° most of the time of what i was seeing before my ps2 disc got shot to death 4 years ago. when you're like under their plane or above it at point blank range then you're dead on Ace difficulty. Or your no damage challenge is ruined.
@@TheRealTrigger2007 That's cool, kinda sounds like they come out angled at the player but I've kept my distance ever since the first time I got shot by them, so I've never been shot while being above or below as far as I remember.
Somehow these missiles never lock on to the player, they always goes straight. I think I heard that some Sukhoi fighters have rear mounted radars, just surprised people in the comments never heard of them.
Reason: Because the missile knows where you are because it knows where you aren't. And by subtracting where it isn't from where it is, or where it is from where it isn't (whichever is greater) we obtain belkan witchcraft..
the soviets may or may not have experimented with backwards firing missiles at some point, but information on the subject seems scarce, and there wasnt really any practical use for them
@@justit1074I think the USAF had the same thought in the past but for whatever reason did not pursue the technology to maturity (or it's locked in the 13th underground floor at area 51 lol)
Backwards fired missiles have like no tracking but they still scare the hell out of me when I dont expect them
Try being too close to their tale and they do it on Ace difficulty. Ruined multiple runs of mine.

It's Belka, what did you expect?
Oh you're here to, did ya?

Nah that ain’t Belka they aren’t doing 90 degree turns with lasers
@@AWACSLunchCaster Wait, that's right i forgot about the laser artifact that should be attached to every aircraft 💀
Yo its the real trigger🤑🤑🥶🥶
Welp I guess the missile can detect anyone, anywhere despite where the jet is facing
It's realistic as the radar is located in the front only IR missiles can possibly track backwards
Markov in the final mission of Ae Combat AH be like

The same missiles Markov used against Bishop.

If i remember right, Z.O.E from the ace combat cross rumble can do that too. Ace combat technology is always a surprise right?

Doesn't ACZ mobius shoot 4 backwards?
I don't think Mobius fires backwards (or I have never seen that), but does fire at a 90 degrees angle
Ah yes I remember now my first reaction 😂 still the greatest game of all time next to AC5
I do wonder how that would be on DCS with Fox 2. lol
The best feature no one ever asked for lol ^^
Sheesh they got those AIM-9Z's
How could they get a lock in the first place?
Its more like backward firing rocket than missile
I smelled Belkan witchcraft
ADF-01 Falken:
French witchcraft
I might have to parachute the jet towards the runway if someone ever said this to me
Its just Belkan witchcraft, relax
Omg Yer Back 🎉
Actually, this is happen when you use vodka instead of using jet fuel. You know what I mean 😂😅
Belka....
