Just like Robert and Lita had to watch a video when they were picking up in a plant months ago, all those plants have their own regulations based on the accident's they had in the past. Cemex cement plant, someone has to back you up. It's good to ask questions ahead of every move when picking up in a new plant.
Old transformers used oil made with pcbs. Maybe that’s why they used the term “mystery oil”.
I had that same problem years ago with transformers andci told them I'm not hauling that crap I don't have hazmat .butt they said it was mineral oil which was run thurthe unit so it did have contaminated by running it,so they lied as usual

The oil is in the transformers. They are oil cooled with mineral oil most of the time.

@davidevans474 strange around here mineral oil has been used since the late 19th century, but recently they started to use other oils like soybean.

PCB Oil...It's a hazardous material! Usually requires a HAZ license to transport...You could have driven to a scrap metal yard and made bank on all the copper in those transformers!

buddy of mine does semi/hotshot loads he has a price list that goes with the truck package file that he sends in to the brokers that has his prices, tonu is price of the load, waiting time is $300hr if he is on the spot be4 his time an they don't start unloading/loading him within15-20min's of him getting their 40min an they have another $300to pay, cant you all do the same thing all trucks owner/operators he has very little issue when they no its going to cost more like they say TIME IS $$$$$$

Wouldn't it have been simplified by (1) Shutting off the damn engine(2)Walking inside and communicating with security exactly what you were picking up and the contact person(3)Asking the exact procedure and requirements for entering and exiting their facility(after all, you are a guest) You should know these basic things by now, or you never will.

Detention fee charged to the broker. Cause: No pickup load number, $200. I think when carrier packets are sent to brokers, your various fees should be included so they know what could happen for stupidity. Have good days!

If those transformers have old style cooling oil in them mfg b4 1986, it is hazardous waste and has pcb in it. It used to use pcb s because it was so good as a rust preventative. Bill
