Question... Right now a new Hero 8 is a hundred dollars less than a new insta360 go 2. What are your thoughts on this.. I know the 360 has a wider field of view and better stabilization.. but what about reliability , 4k compatibility and future compatibility? What are your thoughts on this if you had to choose between the two?
Sponsored video = advertisement. Would be nice for you to go over some negatives, like in an actual review. Things like how much footage can it record? What's battery life like? And any possible others?
I disagree. I think he's talking about how he's used it over the last 5 months. And then discussing whether he likes it STILL or not. That's an update. Whether it turns into a promo because he's so happy with it is just happenstance.
@@dangerous8333 ya but you won’t find any negative in a promo, reviews you do, this video is biased towards selling product so more sponsors send more stuff to the channel.
I love this little cam, doing a lot of videos with my 2 kids, they play around with it and I also use it as a dashcam, it actually sticks to a metal part in my car... so easy lol
Love everything about this convenient tiny camera, except its battery life and overheating problem. Video quality is quite awesome but it can easily shut down if shooting a bit longer like 10 minutes. Takes quite a while to let it cool down then recharge it before putting it back to use again. Any tips would be appreciated!
I too have this problem as well. It's pretty annoying when it does this, then again this is still a new tech; I hope they can record longer videos and fix the overheat issue in the next one.
Its a nice action cam for someone who like to shoot short videos. Battery life and storage are downside of this little cam. For 15-20 min of action is ok. Then you must charge it. Stabilization is very good.
Not sure if a SD card is a viable solution for this product: it has overheating limitations that make it record a maximum of 13 minutes due to overheating issues and also not much battery juice enhirited from its small form factor. So expand internal memory may be somethink more in line (smth they try to address with the 64GB version). To really extend the usage they would have to think about modular bateries, and heat dissipation...and all that engineering could heavily impact its practicity (its triumph over other cams) and price tag
The big big problem of this camera and you dont talk about it is : battery life of 10 minutes is too short, space available of 29 gb is too tiny and impossible to get it on sd card.
Great video, I just recently started my travel vlog with my girlfriend, our recent trip was Aruba! I was strictly using my Instago 2 so you can get a good glimpse at its capabilities as a vlogging camera.
Great Ben, I have the Insta360 Go 1 & apart from a scratch on the lens (dropped it) I bought this for A$200 when released, but cannot justify the price difference (A$479) for the 2 I use this on my RC aircraft in various locations for youtube presentations & the Go 1 works very well. Many thanks for your great presentation.
Great video as always man.. Very tempted new that I have 2 upcoming trips... Having already the Insta360 one X2 and the GoPro 9 is what got me thinking 😅👌🏻
I appreciate it when you are respectful of our time with short videos! Can you consider a vid concerning time lapse? I have a LG V30+ and it only does 1 or 2fps. It would be nice to know which (mini) cams can do 4 or 5 fps time lapse.
It depends on the settings. However, you can record 1080p for 30 mins. The case can recharge it or you can record from the case if you do that it can record for 2 hours.
Battery life is decent, when outside of case, I use the auto power on/off feature to help conserve when not recording. Then I also shoot a fair bit in the charge case and that makes it last longer as well.
@@AuthenTech Right, I can read the specs, but have you noticed that the 30 minutes has reduced to 20 minutes now and no longer 30 minutes and if using the case instead of the 150 you only get say 120-130 now?
@@RoadLifePursuits I'm using only pro mode 1440p which last me around 15mn - 18mn without case and around 80mn - 90mn inside the case (though the memory limit around 25mn).
Gopro could've done this if they didn't add a separate battery, hdmi port, buttons, screen, interchangeable lens cap. This was what Hero Session should've been.
Thanks for your review, but, some people told me that this camera is very hot while using, and the battery life is very poor. Can you let me know about the battery life ?
Pro mode is for short clips, up to 10 minutes. Heating is not an issue.. with a big selfie stick you can do miracles.. as stability is like a gimbal. For longer clips use GoPro hero or Sj4000 cam.
If you could answer this question that would be great. Everyone in the reviews of the insta 360 go 2 says it has and overheating problem and people are loosing footage
You're on to something here. It's weird the GoPro made the Hero 9 bigger and heavier after so many generations. The Insta360 Go 2 just makes so much more sense. I have a One R and I love the 360 cam, but the resolution and maybe bitrate make some of the videos look low quality if there is not enough sun. Do you think the Go 2 could replace the One R for sports? Is the angle wide enough to play around in post? Thanks and keep these great videos coming!
I don't really think Go 2 and One R are in the same category it can complement the other cams (a really expensive one). Insta marketing is not correct when trying to position thi product in the same category as GoPros, One R and others. The Osmo Action 2 is the nearest thing I can think of and even so DJI product seems like something unresolved between One R and Go 2 itself. I think Go 2 is in different category. By the way, I already own a One R and I'm thinking about getting a Go 2
Great video! I might order this camera soon since the magnet seems stronger than I thought. I was hoping to work with them because I record off road truck racing and they told me my channel doesnt get enough views. Would be cool to prove them wrong with their own camera lol.
Great video sir..Thanks for the awesome information..I bought a go2 to use in the casinos to record my slot play...I use a dji ozmo pocket too..most of the casinos I play at aren't video friendly..so the smaller the camera..the better...Take Care..
Could you do me a favour and check how long it takes until the cam or the mobile auto power off when connected butnl not recording? Wanna known if you could use it as a ad-hoc remote WiFi cam
Great video! Quick question, when you record does it automatically save the videos to the app? In case you start running out of space, how do you quickly erase all data and start fresh. I just want to make sure it saves to the app before I format to start over. - thank you
