I’ll give you this... Wisconsin is the only team this year in the B1G that has scared me, I even predicted that they would go 12-0 in the regular season at the beginning of the year.
So you mean to tell me...that you would put Bama in, even tho they are not their conference champ, not even a divisional champ...with the 63rd ranked SOS in the country, over a conference champ Ohio State, who has a top 10 SOS??? If you say yes, you COMPLETELY ruin the credibility of the CFP committee.
It's Alabama that's why. Do you honestly think Wisconsin or Ohio State is a better team than them? The committe factors eye test into selection so the rankings aren't necessarily based on who has the most wins. If this was bcs Wisconsin would be #1 Bama probably #2
Kevin Ford nah they would 5th and not in the BCS championship game. Also the SEC is down! The majority of coaches in the SEC are fired.. which mean that the majority of teams (aside from auburn, Alabama, and Georgia) is plain GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!! A sunbelt team could beat an SEC.. smh sad. I would have agreed with you if the teams in the SEC except for those 3 wasn't that garbage..
I have a way of going to an eight team playoff without adding any extra games. Here's how it works: 1. Eliminate conference championship games 2. In place of the conference championship games, have the top eight teams play each other with these stipulations a. Every power 5 conference must have at least one representative b. No conference can have more than two representatives c. When a conference has two representatives, those teams must play each other d. No team may have home field advantage e. There is no selection committee. The rankings are based on computer analysis using schedule, wins, and losses Here's how this year's playoffs would have looked. (I'm using the score100 computer ranking system) #7 Penn State vs #1 Wisconsin in Indianapolis #8 Miami vs #3 Clemson in Charlotte, NC #6 Alabama vs #4 Georgia In New Orleans (moved from the Georgia Dome) #5 Southern Cal vs #2 Oklahoma in Arlington, Texas It would be a great tournament, every conference would have a chance, and it fits in beautifully with the current 4-team system.
TCU would be in they would have a win over OU who destroyed OSU in their house plus a close lose to Iowa state where as OSU lose is to bad.Plus OU is ranked higher than Wisconsin.
It's hard to say that a 2 loss Ohio State team would get in over a 2 loss Oklahoma team in that scenario when A) Oklahoma beat them straight up at Ohio St, and B) Neither of Oklahoma's losses were as bad as the Iowa loss. I'm a gigantic Ohio St fan, but man that loss was crippling. Honestly if Ohio St gets left out, I understand it, simply because of that loss.
How to fix the college football playoff - 8 teams 1. ACC, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and Pac 12 champions all get in seeded 1-5 based on record and performance because as a conference champion in the power 5 you should get in. 2. The best team of the lesser 5 conferences gets in as the 8th seed. This satisfies people clamoring for teams like UCF or Boise State. 3. The 6th and 7th seeds are teams voted on by the CFP committee.
When all is said and done you take the the top 8 teams, look at wins and losses, use common sense and overall the eye test. Pick the 4 most consistent teams. Consider match ups, LSU beat Auburn, Troy beat LSU, Alabama beat LSU, then Auburn beat Alabama. Because Troy beat LSU on that particular day. Does not mean Troy would ever beat Auburn even though LSU did. I dont think so. The Bottom line is that Ohio State gave up 55 points Iowa! Could Ohio State beat anyone on any given day? Of course they could, but overall eye test tells me the 4 best teams this year would be Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Alabama.
Craig Simpson from what I’ve heard it needs to stay at 4. Think about how much trouble they are having deciding four. If you bumped it up to 8. EVERY team in the top 25 would try to throw their resume in the ring. It would be beyond ridiculous to try to decide eight spots. Like right now you can say just have eight then you can include AL, OSU, and WIS. Ok that’s 5, give me 6,7,8.
0neChubbyBunny i just feel that if it was 8 teams, the chances of missing a potential championship team are drastically lower (in my opinion) than with 4 teams. Just my opinion tho. It would also lengthen the season which you could argue the pros and cons of that as well.
Stanford or USC (Pac-12 champion), UCF (AAC champion), Fl Atlantic (Conf USA champion). If you start giving the other conferences a chance, you draw more talent to those conferences. You can argue that a 4 team playoff that only considers 5 conferences lower the talent pool of the other 2 or 3 decent conferences.
How is an Ohio state team that lost two games, one very badly better than an Alabama team that has one close loss to a top 4 team? Makes no sense. Ohio state doesn’t deserve to go regardless
I'm a bama fan through and through but I can't really argue against us not going. The one team we needed to beat to get in the playoffs was Auburn and we didn't that simple. We were like Wisconsin except we got more of a reputation and in fairness they played better consistently. Do we have the best team I think it is debatable, but AL's OC is holding them back. We gotta unleash our backs against teams. We the coaches have and some fans have to come to the realization that Hurts is not the hero you thought he was. I found that out last year. He can't pass well under pressure. Tua is in my opinion a better fit for the pro style offense. Lets take this loss under the chin and schedule harder teams next year. We will be back. We need to play better teams to show that we are dominant ROLL TIDE.
Georgia doesn't deserve to get in if they beat a beaten up Auburn team. They were outclassed in the first game and are just to slow on defense. They showed that a team like Oklahoma or Clemson would pick them apart in a playoff game. It'd be a waste of a spot imo. And how does Alabama and Georgia not play? That game has to happen in situations like this. I think the NCAA needs to revise the CFP scheme.
Oklahoma is a glass cannon. #57 defense. TCU will be a close game. I don't think they can stack up to anyone else in the conversation though. Yes, they have the #1 offense, but they've basically only got half a team.
yellowhammer44 they got in because they had the best resumé probably in all of college football 2 really good quality road wins against Oklahoma and Wisconsin blew Nebraska out 62-3 and beat Michigan who was a playoff contender and only loss to Penn State because of a blocked field goal they should’ve won that game you can’t ignore that
Why is Minnesota "not bad" but every time the Iowa loss is brought up, it's like Ohio State lost to Appalachian State? Iowa has 7 wins, played 3 top 10 teams and beat the ISU team that beat OU/TCU. What is happening right now?
Minnesota is a good football team Skip? They are 5-7, 2-7 in the Big Ten, didn't score a single point there last 2 games, 39-0 and 31-0 and completed 5 total passes in their last 2 games, get real
Big 10 refs/ncaa refs. They will not allow wisconsin to beat ohio st. If it's coming down to the wire you will see some suspect calls that favor ohio st.
The College Football Playoff committee is VERY inconsistent. Last year they chose Ohio State over Penn State even though they didn't even win their conference. But this year Alabama won't win their conference but they're going to put Ohio State in the playoff if they beat Wisconsin.
Wisconsin vs okla in championship will be fun. Other teams should learn from Alabama, plan their regular season with weak/mediocre teams so you're 11-0 and pray you don't play a legit team or bribe the committee like them.
I like Klatt but throw out resume and conference championships for a second.... allowing Iowa to score 55 points is a conversation ender in my books. I thought UM losing by a field goal @ Iowa was bad the year before but losing by 30+ and allowing that many points kills any argument in my books.. If it was a close game then I can see his point by damn not after how they lost
Ryan Croft true. Ohio doesnt deserve to be in the finals. They wouldve been murdered by clemson bt the TIDE had one mistake and clearly they deserve to be there they beat the number one team tonight
Frankly I dont get why people in love with clemson when they out here barely beating teams like FSU who went down the shiiter after bama broke all fsus players in week 1. I think it shoulda been OU, Wisc, Clemson, Auburn tbh
Alabama's 2017 schedule was softer than a Tom Brady football. Good luck next year Alabama and try not to play Mercer again before the Iron Bowl; it didn't help.
If a team (cavs, bama)or player (Lebron) is successful or seen as the best, shannon sharp is instantly a die hard fan of them. That is why he annoys me. Like honestly bro stop acting like your apart of those teams.
Why do they have to honor the conference champion if Ohio state wins that’s not fair because Ohio state has two bad losses Alabama’s only loss was to the number two team.
If Oklahoma beats TCU then the only way Ohio State makes the college football playoff is if they have a statement victory against Wisconsin. If Ohio State beats Wisconsin in a competitive game then Alabama is going to go to the playoff.
joel klatt makes reason why teams are losing because of injury but when Alabama has been playing 4 and 5 string dline and linebacker but klatt doesn't talk about that because he hates bama
If ohio state wins alabama deserves to go. Miami would have deserved the spot had they not lost to pitt but (assuming they lose to clemson) thats worse than ohio states loss to iowa. Wisconsin at one loss would have a couple of okay wins but i am only slightly more impressed by bamas wins. Highly doubt bama wins their first playoff game anyways.
Tarus Morgan. True! Because they didn't want to run up the score. Yet, its hard to beat a team 2 times in a season. TCU will make the proper adjustments for a better outcome against Oklahoma.
Who is in your Final 4 for the CFB Playoffs?
Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED Wisconsin, Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma
Clemson, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Auburn
Clemson AUBURN (my team), Oklahoma, Wisconsin
Auburn, auburn, auburn, and cle....... auburn
Pyrohoop you lame asf
Wow skip is saying something positive about the state of Wisconsin
Legacy_of_Heroes skip better not jinx this for us, this is our time baby #OnWisconsin
He is just doing it because he wants Alabama out of the playoff.
+Matthew Cole LOL. :D
I’ll give you this... Wisconsin is the only team this year in the B1G that has scared me, I even predicted that they would go 12-0 in the regular season at the beginning of the year.
Love this show! Wish we had shows like this in the UK
Does shannon, ride with all the winning teams lol?
Righteous Kung Fu and best players
cept NE lel
Righteous Kung Fu he just appreciates greatness
Yes he does and find excuses when they lose
he loves nick saban and alabama lol
I don't know how you can question the dominance of Auburn right now. They look like the team to beat to me (with Johnson playing of course).
"The Alabama Invitational" lol
As long as Bama don't get in...its a great win!
Alabama is in
Great win is to beat alabama not dodge them
I bet watching Bama win that Natty killed you.
Klatt is becoming my favorite CFB analyst
Shannon nailed it, haha. Tomorrow's show should be pretty funny to watch.
This is why Joel Klatt is my new hero...so on point
He needs to be on the show weekly during football and bowl season to discuss all bowl games. A nice change up from Lebron, Lonzo, and the Cowboys.
Wisconsin gets no love but they have the best Defense in the Country and they are undefeated and frankly they are a very good team.
If Miami beats Clemons, Miami makes the playoffs.
if any current top 4 team loses then Bama gets to slide in
Theo Walcott I think Clemson would still get in if they lose. Committee loves them for some reason
Don Ackerson nahh they will be done. Also look at their victories this year that's Why the committee loves them
no
Don Ackerson because of ESPN who owns the SEC and ACC
@4:45 shannon says wisconsin only undefeated but UCF????????
This is my favorite show on youtube
Preach on Brother Sharp! Roll Tide Roll Baby
It's pretty easy to be consistent when the best team you play is Michigan on their 3rd string QB
So you mean to tell me...that you would put Bama in, even tho they are not their conference champ, not even a divisional champ...with the 63rd ranked SOS in the country, over a conference champ Ohio State, who has a top 10 SOS??? If you say yes, you COMPLETELY ruin the credibility of the CFP committee.
abelle621 I agree but that unforgivable loss to Iowa ruins everything else
"YES!"
I kinda miss the BCS tbh
OSU and Alabama both out I like the sound of that.
Shannon brings that energy that makes u stay tuned in!! I don’t even like football.
they try to make excuses for Ohio St but keeping looking pass our CANES
Shannon Sharp was right about everything. As always....right.

It would be a great tournament, every conference would have a chance, and it fits in beautifully with the current 4-team system.
Shannon is very smart and knows what he is talking about.
And he was dead on.
So.... y'all uploading my segment last 😞

I've been waiting for this 😴😭😭
Still doubting them boys 🙌🏽💚✴️
These Semifinals playoffs games haven’t even been close lol only Ohio State vs Alabama was a good one
Yeah Zeke and Cardale Jones went crazy in that game
Americas Team this year nobody is really dominant so o expect these games to be closer.
I think Shannon said yeah more times than Lil John when he was featured w Usher
Shannon - OU beat two number 1's in the same season. 2000 when they beat number 1 Kansas St and number 1 Nebraska back to back.
soonerjoose and beat Texas who was ranked 5th. OU beat 3 top 5 teams in s row that year.
Joel is right!
Championship Weekend will be awesome!!!!!
Wisconsin finally getting respect.
Joel hating on that Tide... lol
What happens if Miami wins, Georgia wins, TCU wins, and Ohio State wins
Then your playoff would be Miami, Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama.
TCU would be in they would have a win over OU who destroyed OSU in their house plus a close lose to Iowa state where as OSU lose is to bad.Plus OU is ranked higher than Wisconsin.
Cabbage man tcu will not be in. They not even that good

Why not go to 8 teams for the college playoffs.
I have no idea... Seems to me it would solve lot of these problems. I honestly preferred the old bcs system over the new 4 team playoff system.
Yes! This right now is rubbish
Craig Simpson from what I’ve heard it needs to stay at 4. Think about how much trouble they are having deciding four. If you bumped it up to 8. Ethan Jones of course
Yes
Ethan Jones your not
They will figure a way to get Bama in or Ohio state.
Duh lol
How is an Ohio state team that lost two games, one very badly better than an Alabama team that has one close loss to a top 4 team? Makes no sense. Ohio state doesn’t deserve to go regardless
Still got in roll tide good saint nick in the playoffs
I actually agree with skip
I wish the committee’s obvious bias in favor of the SEC gets addressed during the off season. The heisman voters sec bias at that too
Is it bias when sec teams are just better? You sound like a hater. Beat them and it is over
@@josephveitch8898 This was 3 years ago fam.
Georgia Dome is literally in the middle between Athens and Auburn. I don't think it's necessary home field advantage for Dawgs
I'm a bama fan through and through but I can't really argue against us not going. The one team we needed to beat to get in the playoffs was Auburn and we didn't that simple. Can I please hear your excuses? This is gonna be great.
I was wrong. They deserve to get in. But they'll still get rolled by OU. No way they survive the first half.
kendrickjg Great argument you got there. Let me ask you a question. How do you slow down a prolific offense?
Oklahoma is a glass cannon. #57 defense. TCU will be a close game. I don't think they can stack up to anyone else in the conversation though. Yes, they have the #1 offense, but they've basically only got half a team.
What about 6 team playoff ?
One thing for sure if my Sooners lose there is no dam way I want those buckeyes to go. I'll be pulling for Bama from that point to win the ship.
Bama to the Maui Invitational 😂😂😂
More like the Ohio State invitational. They lost to Penn St. heads up last year and didn't win their conference.
yellowhammer44 they got in because they had the best resumé probably in all of college football 2 really good quality road wins against Oklahoma and Wisconsin blew Nebraska out 62-3 and beat Michigan who was a playoff contender and only loss to Penn State because of a blocked field goal they should’ve won that game you can’t ignore that

God bless Joe Klatt O-H-I-O!
Why not a playoff with all the conference champions?
joel Klatt came with the facts on why bama shouldnt be in
Skip brings the IQ levels down of everyone in the room.
Shannon is the smartest one there
Miami is going to beat Clemson
pueblo Nakahmora lol
pueblo Nakahmora Miami losing
pueblo Nakahmora 😂😂😂naw
mark my words all this disrespek to Miami is going to come back on yall
No
would if miami beats clemson will miami move up to the playoff 4?
Aj Wells yes..it’s already said that whoever wins the acc and sec conference championships are in
Don’t forget ESPN owns the SEC network and have a bid towards the SEC elevating Miss state LSU to make Alabama look better.
Ali A exactly
Ali A ummm but alabama is better than both those team......
Clarks Hat ummm no, Mississippi sucks and they almost beat Alabama. LSU sucks and they lost to TROY???
But it's okay ESPN owns the SEC network and they want SEC teams to be there it's okay to admit facts.
Yup
They should not let Alabama in
Just win Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

OSU should not jump Alabama, jumping all those spots if they beat Wisconsin

Bama #6
??
Isn’t two losses for Ohio state more than one for Alabama.
Has Alabama beat the #2 ranked team like Ohio State did...
Why are y'all not complaing about auburn, they have 2 loses...remember we jumped a BIG TEN team last yr, not a different conference
What has to happen for Ohio to make the playoffs?
Frankly I dont get why people in love with clemson when they out here barely beating teams like FSU who went down the shiiter after bama broke all fsus players in week 1. I think it shoulda been OU, Wisc, Clemson, Auburn tbh
Alabama's 2017 schedule was softer than a Tom Brady football. Good luck next year Alabama and try not to play Mercer again before the Iron Bowl; it didn't help.
If Bama does make it I hope they play Clemson and Clemson lights up the scoreboard and blanks Bama
Jay MD that won’t happen they lost to a 4-7 team
Wisconsin is the most consistency against cupcakes.
Sonny Huynh English?
If OSU beats Wisconsin, do they make the playoffs? I doubt it, coming from an OSU fan.
All the top four teams will loose! Now that would be crazy right?
If a team (cavs, bama)or player (Lebron) is successful or seen as the best, shannon sharp is instantly a die hard fan of them. That is why he annoys me. Like honestly bro stop acting like your apart of those teams.
The last year we had Zeke we should’ve went to the playoffs last year no .
Like I said clemson going all the way 🤷♂️🤷♂️ all in 🐅🐾
Do people actually think TCU can beat OU 😂😂😂😂😂, tcu gonna get smacked again
Why do they have to honor the conference champion if Ohio state wins that’s not fair because Ohio state has two bad losses Alabama’s only loss was to the number two team.
I want Wisconsin to win but I feel as if Ohio State is going to win in the last minute.
The AlaBama invitational!!! Good 1 shay!!!
Whats funny is my top 4 is basically the same as joels, but i just dont like joel at all
An ACC champ. Georgia. OU. Bama.
If Oklahoma beats TCU then the only way Ohio State makes the college football playoff is if they have a statement victory against Wisconsin. If Ohio State beats Wisconsin in a competitive game then Alabama is going to go to the playoff.
It doesn't matter if Ohio State wins big. The committee doesn't think Wisconsin is that good of a team. They were FORCED to put them at #4.
Y’all kinda are both right
and Miami beats Clemson as icing on the cake
joel klatt makes reason why teams are losing because of injury but when Alabama has been playing 4 and 5 string dline and linebacker but klatt doesn't talk about that because he hates bama

It would be better if there was an 8 team play off
Jesse Bell 6 teams I think
Jesse Bell no
No
No it wouldn't. Then we Make the argument that we needed to keep expanding.
Jesse Bell yes
Don't be shocked when Miami beats Clemson and TCU beats Oklahoma
adstevens751. Oklahoma didn't even score in the second half on purpose and they still beat TCU by 18!
Tarus Morgan. True! Because they didn't want to run up the score. Yet, its hard to beat a team 2 times in a season. TCU will make the proper adjustments for a better outcome against Oklahoma.
On the other side of your coin, Oklahoma will make adjustments too?
Michael A. I'm sure they have! Oklahoma has a dangerous team offensively hands down. Should be a great game.
Suck it haters, Bama is in the playoffs.
Hmm Miami beats Clemson...NOT TCU beats OU...LOL, No way!
