i made a build with 97 steal but i cant even get my glove or tight stick ripper badges up because i literally cannot get a steal. playing on rookie in mycareer and everytime i reach its an immediate foul no matter what

@Cwz. when in absolute pro stick function swipe the opposite direction. the stick controls which hand you use so if you swipe to the right you swipe with yur right hand, but its on the left from your point of view. so swipe to the right if the ball is on the ball handlers left side

It works especially for passin lanes but sometimes it makes my player jump for a contest when I want to get that passing lane giving up a free bucket. As soon as they pass it is when my player jumps for a jumpshot contest too it’s annoying

try to let go of r2 when you are almost in perfect position. if you are trying to catch up you can still hold r2

So if the ball handler has the ball in his left hand do flick left? Or would I flick right bc thats my hand that’s in front of his dribble? I’m still not sure somebody clarify for me pls lol
If the ball handler has his the ball in his left hand, that means you flick right. Your MyPlayer’s right hand is closest to ball handlers left.
Put yourself in your MyPlayers shoes. If someone has something in their right hand that is closer to my left hand.
Or just flick the opposite direction you see the ball handler holding the hall if ur on 2k cam

Best way for me is to put it on camera relative. Absolute makes it way harder

Yeh u need to time it and every time you reach the chance of u getting the steal lowers by a little for that play

Have you figured it out? I’m in absolute and on 2k cam what side do I do?
@@MDrepresentah absolute and swipe opposite. Example, if the ball is on the left according to the camera, swipe right.
@@milesrevolution07that's so hard for me to do. My mind wants to use the side the ball is on. So if I see the ball on the right I want so swipe right. That's why I've taken to camera relative to help with that
@@BillyShakesWorld it still a problem for me as well. I’m trying to force it to muscle memory. Trying to do it without thinking. I say keep it on absolute and just practice. Use this 2k as preparation for future games. Sometimes I say left or right to myself during games.
Also pay attention to animations. For each the guard ball animation. That way you know what to look for and also keep fouls to a minimum.

Makes sense to leave it camera relative imo as you’d just wanna flick your stick in the balls direction no matter the position of your player. Also since 99% of people use 2k camera, most of the time on D the player is facing the camera so absolute camera would be counterintuitive. But what do I know…

I was averaging about 1.3 steals per game when I only play on my lock. Now I play on my athletic finishes. It’s gone down quite a bit.

my guy decides to jump/contest 80% of the time when i flick my stick -_- is there anything else i can change on my settings or is my controller just fkd and registers a flick up. i tried diagonal left/right down too. still contests and they just blow by
If that’s happening turn your defensive assist to 0, and just swipe your stick directly right and left

It's not you bro, passing lane steals are broken. I can be starring at the ball and it'll hit my dude in the face and the defender will walk around me and score. I don't even try anymore, I only get on ball steals.

I put right stick on absolute, but when I swipe right, he steals left and when I swipe left he steals right. Makes no sense.
it’s from your players like first person point of view idk why 2k makes it like that so if it’s on their left hand u have to reach right

My build only has like 50 steal. Is that worth it or should i just change it to the lowest 😂
Just change it to lowest but honestly I don’t recommend upgrading your player past 93 overall so you can probs just leave it, if u already been grinding that player just don’t upgrade your steal
But if u haven’t started grinding your player you can probs use the attributes better elsewhere

I slide a bit but I find the higher you have it the more intense your bump animations are and I get more forced pick ups

Don’t stand still dribble this year make sure your always moving left to right it makes it really hard for us to steal. If your running away from us it’s very hard to steal

Tbh you can really do either left or right doesnt matter what hand the opponent is dribbling with, you'll get different animations but both can work consistently
Clicked off when I seen his defensive assist strength if you don’t play on 15 or less you can’t play defense your letting the AI determine your movement
