I always study english online and most of the time I prefer using youtube. I've already watched all the videos from this ElementalEnglish channel and I will keep watching all the videos over and over again until I master it. In addition, I'm also watching other english video tutorials from other great teachers. In fact, I've found out recently that there were some american teachers who used one of the uploaded videos of ElementalEnglish as their reference. It only means that ElementalEnglish has proved its best as it has been proven by some american teachers, who used one of the videos as their reference in their virtual or online class, that it was an excellent and in-depth explanation on pronunciation; However, for all the teachers and/or aspiring to become teachers as well as students out there who would like to use the videos of ElementalEnglish, please acknowledge and do give the credit to the lady who put an effort and knowledge to these constructive and informative works. Let us give credit where credit is due and let us all be thankful to the lady who made all these videos. More power to the creator of ElementalEnglish. Thank you very much once again. From the Philippines with fellow filipino english learner friends, Ace
jamdawgtube: This teacher is obviously an American and teaching American English. She does establish that this lesson is based on American English at the very beginning. For a free video, it's excellent. Bravo, ElementalEnglish. I am sharing this link on my class page. It is very clear and to the point. You don't speak too quickly. My students will greatly appreciate it!! Thanks
I’m going through the process to get my nails done before you leave the office so I’ll be home around seven or later in about a week and I have a couple things that
ElementalEnglish is one of the best and impressive video tutorials I've ever found on youtube. Thanks to the beautiful lady with a very clear, beautiful, and perfect voice who generously share the ideas and techniques of learning the English language. All the uploaded videos from this ElementalEnglish channel are IMPECCABLE and I think that's the best word to describe all the upoaded video tutorials, most especially to the lady who put her best, knowledge, and effort to all the videos. It was such a great work indeed. Keep up the good work! Once again, thank you so much for all the videos. These videos will be of great help to me in honing my english speaking skill. I will absolutely share this to my fellow filipino friends. Wish you all the best in life. From the Philippines, Ace
I’d like to thank you for taking the time to make this awesome video with your audio explanation. First, here in Brazil, I think all English material made for ESL students should come with audio - I mean, if the issue is helping out those who are trying to learn English, the AUDIO explanation is a must: their pronunciation will improve correctly. Second, in Brazil, again, a lot of students underestimate the necessity to master the sounds of REGULAR VERBS in their 3 sound formats (t, d, id), - they just add the -ed sound to the end of every regular verb, and think “that’s it”. Unfortunately, many of them come to learn only a little too late that the wrong sounds they make while speaking, always contributes for making their listeners more confused with the mispronounced words they say. And to make matters worse, if they are told about that after 3 or 4 years of talking making those improper sounds (when they change teacher - for instance), by then they have already gotten into the habit, and to help them change is very hard - they cant seem to overcome their habit. So, I’d like to recommend your great audio and video to all teachers worldwide, to insert this explanation into their teaching program. That way, after a few years, their student’s will sound the regular verbs, as they should.
AWESOME ! THE CLEAREST, MOST ACCURATE SITE TO LEARN EVER !!! (in my humble opinion) Just one thing, do you really think the echo effect in the sound when you pronounce is necessary; it doesn´t match to real listening. THANKS A LOT. BEST WISHES
Hi eLeMental English! I'm from Vietnam. This lesson is so great! I can understand clearly and easily. Thank you very much. Hope u'll share more hepful videos :)
WOW. Got here from a Nessy video...my oldest is addicted to this video, he has a very difficult time reading due to dyslexia, he is really into this video.
' t ', ' d ' and ' id ' sounds in the letters of ' ed ' are disappeared sometimes. Regarding ' t ' and ' d ', ' t ' and ' d ' sounds disappear between consonants as in ' mashed potato'. To know it is important because past participle works as an adjective. For example, 'a reserved seat', 'the retired life' and something like that have ' t ' or ' d ' sounds at the end of past particle.
Thanks a lot! This is actually very useful. I think im going to rewatch this everyday to practice. For a spanish speaker, the -ed stuff it's hard to master!
It's tricky! With 't' your tongue is further forward in your mouth, with 'd' it's more towards the middle :) I'd love to see you all subscribe to my channel for more English practice :)
You're amazing on your explanations and pronunciations! Thanks you so much! I study English by myself and your videos are really important to me! Thanks!
Một bài hát rất hoài niệm , nhớ những ngày bồng bột của tuổi trẻ, chút kỷ niệm của tình yêu, lời chia tay vội vàng đúng như cái bồng bột ấy. Đức Phúc cover lại bài hát này tâm trạng quá !
Thanks to elementary english is helpful to undrrstand the past tense with terminlogy t d and id but in reality in can't understand in which situation or which is the verb termined in a consenant or other to defreinciate the prunation of each one , thanks againe and I hope to get more explaination about it , I need to know exactly the way and when to say t d and id
Hello professor Thank you so much for your help and advice I really appreciate your job. I wish you peace and happiness under the sky of prosperity All the best Take care and have a good time
dude, you asked when to use id or that other form, it hinges on the way you speak like, i wannnted or sometimes i wannntid(stressing the words, jus' remember not always they'll speak like it is written , like the usa anthem itself, o'er=over, bandz 'a' make her dance= bandz 'will' make her dance, and so on, and yes i DID respond to yer question, there's only 3 'ed' speaking ways : id, d, t

Thank you so much for this video! I am learning english and this video it helped me a lot for the pronunciation :)
the explanation was good. I like the part in how the sound of each verb ended with the endings (t) (d) or (Id)
' t ', ' d ' and ' id ' sounds in the letters of ' ed ' are disappeared sometimes.
Regarding ' t ' and ' d ', ' t ' and ' d ' sounds disappear between consonants as in ' mashed potato'.

For a spanish speaker, the -ed stuff it's hard to master!
I don't see the difference between [t] and [d] sounds, for some reason sounds the same to me.
Me neither. I'm having a hard time pronouncing the [t] and [d] correctly.
It's tricky! With 't' your tongue is further forward in your mouth, with 'd' it's more towards the middle :) I'd love to see you all subscribe to my channel for more English practice :)
