Not only do you promote fairs But your preserving memories and history We all like to think that things will stay the same forever but they don't but with your hard work and effort We can all look back and remember the good times Thanks Andy !!!
Andy this was brilliant vlog you have described how every body is feeling that loves carters the atmosphere and the theres no better place to be at night i cant wait for lichfield and will be making the most of it i have a skid mug i will have to get some more
Great last carter's vlog on this ground nice to switch up the vlog a bit not ride heavy all times good to see Shawn and Charlotte you ain't seen 4 ages Andy lovely footage and fireworks
Dreamland can’t afford to buy any rides never mind a whole collection of vintage rides, when Dreamland reopened a few years ago all they had was vintage rides
Oh no shame about Carter’s I hope a solution is found i know Myself and Carter’s are pleased for all your content and promoting there funfairs thanks Andy for everything you do and nice to see Shawn as well 👍
So good to see you vlog Caters fair from what is there last tour this year Andy and great footage too i do intend to visit Carters and agree with what you say , about visiting them before the end of the year - Nice 1 mate 👍
Sad to hear that a good bit of British heritage maybe coming to an end. Fingers crossed they can find a permanent bit of indoor land to keep things going. Nice vlog Andy as always.
Be great to see these rides at beamish on a permanent ground....protect the heritage of the wonderful classic rides and machinery. Enjoy your last season following the carter's roadshow.... I'm sure they will be responsibly handed over to new owners. Things happen, times change, wheels keep on rolling... 👍 Enjoy what you can while you can and remember tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone in life or in business. It's absolutely good you know 🐛🐛👍
@Buster Unfortunately, as much as I love and support Beamish, they appear to have an awful track record of conserving fairground rides. As I understand it, they've pretty much destroyed the ex-Sally Beach set of gallopers. They just don't seem to understand them...
nice vlog andy there is a vintage fair in scarborough fair collection and there is one that travels its in skegness next to the car park there is a coaster credit there
Haha my friend sent me this vlog as I'm in it a couple of times.- how awkward haha We spoke to you in the queue at the planes ( I was sat in front with my stepdad) it's a wonderful fair and iv been going since I was a tot. It horrible to see its going x
You need to go to beamish museum it’s an amazing place you’d enjoy it if you never do e it they also have a vintage fare also it’s a full day out plus you can take dogs
These traditional rides are so very important for English Heritage, I think they should get a large grant from Lottery funding or English Heritage. It would be a real shame if it dwindled away.
I've never been Carter's because I live more North, Beacon Park Lichfield is about an hour + half from me, since it's the last year I definitley will be going, such sad news.
This should be classified as"cultural heritage" and be protected by the government, local or national, doesn't matter. They do have money for other stupid things which doesn't even attract a tenth of the amount of people as on this fair. It would be a massive shame if this gets to end.
Great vlog as always, sad news about Carters. Loved the drone views but (serious question) are you allowed to fly so close over the heads of so many people? I’m never sure what the law is as I want to buy one but am always wary about what the actual rules are in relation to “public flying”. Cheers.
Carters are still touring all season..... Other vloggers will join them when there are nearer to them. If your calling vloggers "Tight" you literally have no idea of the expense of actually creating this sort of content which all comes out of my own pocket as I, like many other channels don't get a penny from UA-cam or anywhere else. It's called having an actual passion for funfairs.
Being a funfair vlogger is an expensive hobby I am sure more vloggers would love to go to Carter's but you just have to wait until Carter's are in there area
It’s going to be a hard sell! How can you expect someone to cough up £2.5 million for a product even the brand owners have little to no faith in hence the sale!
Wouldn't beamish be able to take these on? Edit: if only fred dibnah was alive or bolton steam museum was built... I hate the fact the UK is crying out for jobs and not a single council in the UK wants a 100+ year old steam fair. This country is a disgrace
Beamish is an open air museum and these rides need to be kept indoors to keep them looking fresh otherwise no one will be able to keep up with the maintenance on them

Sad times but I'm sure some one will buy it
Great blog 👌
Thanks
It would be nice for vloggers to go and give Carters a big send off on their last day.
Definitely mate I’d love to see that maybe I should organise a huge meet up for their last fair
@@Coaster_Crazy yeah you should I will definitely be there.
nice vlog andy there is a vintage fair in scarborough fair collection and there is one that travels its in skegness next to the car park there is a coaster credit there
Yeah I’ve missed that one in Skegness a few times now
@@Coaster_Crazy I'm going there again as part of my Lincolnshire road trip which is at 27th of may

Glad you found the vlog and yes it’s really sad news
I was working that day on the skid .
Maybe you should put Vienna on your list pal Shawns just been there and loads of credits for you to get
Yeah I know I’ve seen his vlogs and I was supposed to go last year but we sadly had to cancelled it due to the pandemic

Been to Beamish a few time mate, used to like up that end of the UK and went with school and with my parents
Hopefully we will be going to Lichfield this year x
Definitely give it a visit !!
@@Coaster_Crazy I definitely will. So sad it's going up for sale

Yeah it is a shame they never traveled any further north but they are based in Maidenhead so traveling any great distance is hard work and expensive
T.Smith owned the octopus as well back in the 70,s
Andy are all fairs feeling the pinch?
Yes I would definitely say so
Could not see the Jungle Thriller ark on the video ? i hope that has not already been sold on any ideas please.
It’s currently in the yard getting refurbished well at least I think it is, definitely not been sold yet
@@Coaster_Crazy Thank you for your reply
So does that mean carters will no longer be hiring the rids for film sets ?
Well if they sell up then most probably yes but you never know what the new owners might do, hopefully they can find a permanent ground somewhere
It is sad, its like the end of the fred dibnah era

Sadly the government love to waste money, and yes it would be great if they could help out

Because I have the DJI Mini 2 and it’s under 250g, anything heavier then you can’t legally fly over people at all
@@Coaster_Crazy Thank you very much for your reply.
@@metrojam116 no worries
Before the pandemic. Dingles Steam fair were going to expand ??
Yeah and sadly they ended up closing for about 2yrs !! Tbh I don’t even know if they are back open yet
@@Coaster_Crazy it's open again. I live near the place. They have the buildings for more rides.

From gig to little one . Not been on road few years .covid asnt helped
Prices have gone up that's why there is only 2 vlogers at carter's before prices went up Uther vlogers are to tight or just lazy vlogers
You mean price of fuel have gone up !?
Yes Andy exactly, when it costs £50 in fuel vloggers aren’t bothered by £3 a ride. I will surely be at a carters at least once this year.
So was this Carters only grounds this year Timmy , no didn’t think so , need to think before making stupid comments and calling people lazy

Great vlog Andy and shame that it is the last year of Carter's steam fair, this is what started the modern fairs of today. 😭🎢🎡
Exactly if it wasn’t for these vintage rides then we would have the fairs and theme parks we have today
