I love that you’re reviewing more indie figures because the stuff we’re getting from mainline figures isn’t really it, aside from neca they’re killing it
You should absolutely keep reviewing these indie figures. Your integrity is the last thing anyone should question and it also makes a good platform for more people to be aware of these figures in the first place.
With this figure, you can pop off the torso from the waist and pull off his skirt completely, and you get a naked ninja- the legs have incredible articulation without the skirt and it’s clearly made to be an option- like the Veteran William figure, the clothing hinders it, but there’s a sans clothing option.
I'm definitely supportive of your reviewing more indie lines and figures. The market for boutique operations is expanding exponentially and there are so many new companies and figures out there. An experienced voice like yours reviewing some of that new stuff would help folks (like me, for sure) make decisions on what to pick up.
The pouch is a tobacco (or whatever you want him to smoke) pouch and goes on the pipe. There's a little hook on the string part of the pipe that's supposed to hold it. The rope is for the weapon case. You can tie it to the handles and use it to hang the case around his chest instead of using the peg for the cloak.
I'll echo what others have commented, more reviews covering indy figures would be great! Power-Con showcased a number of current and upcoming lines that are well worth checking out. 4 Horsemen Studios are adding more parts diversity with each wave of Mythic Legions, Cosmic Legions & Figure Obscura. Valaverse is showing that they are MUCH more than generic military line and give you a ton for the price point. Lone Coconut's Plunderlings exude personality and are incredbly fun to photograph. The stuff that Savage Crucible has coming is super exciting and checks all the boxes for me: cool designs, impressive articulation, beautiful paintwork, and affordable pricing. Keep up the good work Anthony, we appreciate your discerning eye and honest reviews!
I picked him and William(wolf) up about a month ago and absolutely lived them. Great detail and just wonderful paint. Overall quality was awesome. Plus William comes with alternate parts to basically make him a complete bare werewolf that could easily be used in other displays. Heat line so far.
Yes! We need more indie, especially FuRay Planet! Every release has been amazing! The Werewolf (Veteran Williams) is definitely the best Werewolf action figure you can find atm! He can completely transform from a Werewolf to his Veteran William's look.
As long as you don't 'review' your own line after it's released (when?), no problems! Also, FuRay is an amazing line. Great idea to support indie companies!
Yeah the indie reviews is what I've been wanting, honestly. Mainline figures have their place but at this point I feel like I already know what to expect from those and it becomes sort of monotonous. Indie reviews definitely bring freshness to the channel and variety.
It's great to have someone that has a reputation, reviewing these 3rd party/ indie figures. It's difficult taking many "reviewers" word, that only have glowing reviews and nothing else.
I actually want to see you reviewing more indie figures. I know we should be supporting them but we definitely should be aware of the pros and cons of their products, too. I like that furry piece for the neck, without it he looks younger, when you put it back on his neck he looks older, from an apprentice to a seasoned fighter. Awesome looking figure.
I think that anyone who has watched you for years knows that your job is to provide accurate, unbiased information. You call them as you see them. And when you criticize something, you don't criticize for the sake of it, and you always offer alternatives and solutions for how to make things better. I'm paraphrasing but you said it best, we don't need these things, they're luxuries, companies need US to buy their products. You have never and I'm 100% sure you will never review an indie product with the intention of making your own product look better in comparison.
Little pouch could be hanged to the pipe (tobacco pouch). The rope is to be attached to the handles of weapon case to hold it better. The peg is to get a good position
The little pouch is for you to carry it on the pipe (on a small hook there). The rope is for you to tie it to the kunai (I don't think it's the best rope for that). I was wishing you could review these guys but didn't expect you to so I'm glad you went for it! You can also pop the torso apart to remove the belt piece and it'll allow to move the hips a lot more.
Picked one of these up after watching your review. Great figure but, it’s the most stiff figure I have had to work with. Took a lot of heating and manipulating. Still, worth it in the end!
You are the most straightforward and honest reviewer in the game, so absolutely review indy figures that tickle your fancy! As for any conflict of interest: I am 100% certain that you are/will be brutally honest about your own work, so no conflict as far as I can see. As for this figure, I'm stoked for it and it was a pleasant surprise to see you review it. Thanks! 👍
I think it's cool for you to review indie figs. Giving them exposure not only helps them but could possibly help you and people like me who watch you find new things to possibly enjoy or think about. I think It's a win-win.
Hi! Hong Kong collector here and followed Weng since reveal. Weng is indeed dirty, the official brand (Furay Planet by Raynald Toys) announced theyd be changing factory for production because the dirty paint used in the Weng factory. The main complaint around here is the difficulty in changing hands (you basically NEED hot water if you ever wanna try the other hand options) The next Furay planet products are a Ronin Rabbit, followed up by Hyena and Panda (im not sure of the order)
Please keep reviewing indie figures. I find myself buying more of those anyway. Much better subject matter and the big companies are just not putting the effort as much in their product. So these are a breath of fresh air
I bought their Veteran William figure cause I love Werewolves and while Weng and everyone else looked cool I just wanted my werewolf. Then I got the figure. I want the whole line now these are AMAZING figures!
I just recieved mine in the mail but havent opened yet. The look alone made it a must for me, but now I KNOW for a fact I made a good choice! Fantastic review, Anthony!
Question of the day: I like the idea of other brands reviews, I hope these reviews will perform as good as the biggest brands reviews and will bring you more viewers as well. Also you were talking about avoiding dramas, I don't see how "indie" toys reviews would spawn any drama but there are nutcases out there who can get mad over anything so I hope nothing like that will happen to you. Nice review btw. 😤👍
I'm personally really glad that you're reviewing indie products that appeal to you. I trust so few reviewers these days so I'm anytime you review something I'm interested in. Can't wait to see more from Rival Clans when the time is right.
I think that nowadays indie companies are making more and more good interesting figures and are more often giving the mainstream lines a run for their money. So with the growing interest and competition I think it's a good call to start reviewing the most exciting (from your POV) indie figures. At the end of the day I think we all want some good figures. That's all. And such reviews can help us see, if the fugure is worth our money and place on the shelf. Sorry for stating some obvious stuff, but you asked so...
Yes keep reviewing them, your particular judgement on the indie brands would make a great difference to us, because theyre not cheap and i sometimes hold back when i dont know a brand. After seeing this review im definetely picking this one up🙌🏼
I have been waiting for you to review indie companies. Your reviews are always something I go with. They need proper reviews and not the mainline as we always almost know what the output will be.
I think it’s a great idea that you are bringing a spotlight to the Indie Brands. I just want to see something different, seen a million superhero and video game figures. All the big toy companies are doing licensed properties almost exclusively, ain’t no one doing an anthropomorphic beefcake tiger figure.
Indie brands nowadays have amazing products, and its important to make popular a review for good figures, also make the top brands to keep getting better.
You are fair, it’s fine for you to review indie figures. I would be careful though, I have seen folks go rabid when one indie guy critiques another. The indie fans seem to be a little more sensitive.
The little pouch hangs on the pipe it's a "tobacco " pouch or opium pouch or whatever but yea there is a little hook on the pipe and that's where the little pouch goes.....I love this line Ive picked up all of the Furay Planet figs so far and I love 'em all great line.....great review !
What a coincidence! I wanted to looked into this line today and lo and behold Anthony posted a review of this figures just a few hours earlier. To answer your question, yes review indie figures too. You are one of the most trustworthy reviewers. I have never sensed any bias in your reviews regardless of company or line. Anyways, this figure looks amazing. I've seen pictures of a werewolf and crocodile figures that also look amazing.
"it's a cool figure I want in my collection" this really is the standard as to why u do or don't like a figure. I am stoked you are doing indie stuff! Would love you to look at street humans by shartimus prime
I see plenty of people have already mentioned it, but I still believe Veteran William (the wolf) is absolutely worth both your money to purchase & time to review. Different themes perhaps from Blademaster Weng, but they go HARD at what they do, & the range of Veteran William to be displayed in up to 3 different styles is insane. Each of these figures is Toy-of-the-Year material in my opinion.
Indie reviews are great, no problem with you doing that! The tiger is missing one of his stripes on yours on his upper right shoulder and it drives me nuts once I noticed it but I think you've convinced me to save up for this figure! Edit: Maybe it's not missing one of the stripe? According to images on BBTS it is missing but other reviews don't have it either.
Definitely we need more indie figures, mainly those that you consider as good examples of your key points: aesthetics and proportions, accessories and articulation.
This guy and the Xesray Minotaurs are my most anticipated for the year. Already got Weng and without the skirt he has tons of range in the hips although I would have preferred a more solid piece over the diaper.
Very happy to see you review indie. They need more critical eye and coverage if they are good. Please review this Furay wolf. That one is always highly recommended.
Before you mentioned it, when you took the fur peice off the neck, I was like "I like that better!". Lol! That is definitely a pretty dope lookin figure! Sik
I'm all for you reviewing indie brands. I've bought a few, and I think it's really cool to see the work and engineering of a non-mainstream as its really impressive most of the time. And sometimes it's like how can Hasbro continue to give us crap figures with little to no paint for the same price of a lot of these indie brands.
I've been hoping you'd review independant brands, because of how in depth your reviews are. I've wanted to get in to collecting some indie stuff, and have just got my first couple things, but would have had a lot more confidence with the lines if I'd had some of your reviews to look over. I remember specifically looking through your videos for LooseCollector figures. Example of how your reviews help: Had no idea Storm Collectibles had the soft rubbery chests until your review. Made me reconsider. - Also, you can remove the skirt piece by separating him at the waist (carefully + heat).
Keep up the good work! I’m sure you’ll do a good job no matter what direction you choose. You built this business from nothing with hard work and dedication. I mostly hoped you would review this guy in particular because I like seeing you celebrate excellence, and this is clearly an outstanding figure. In terms of opening up to indie companies, I would probably shy away from reviewing things you think you won’t like unless they’re mainstream enough. “Here’s this obscure thing that sucks” doesn’t make great content, but you know that already. This could be a good business opportunity for you… reach out and offer to pre-review prototypes and designs for a consulting fee for your review business- and work together with the small business community to release better products. A bit like what you just did with Shartimus Prime. Everyone wins when quality increases. And it might lighten the cost to you if they also send free review samples. You’ve been pretty up front with your designs and plans for Rival Clans, so as long as it isn’t in direct competition with that, it could work. These conversations would obviously need to remain private- but this is all stuff you clearly already know. I don’t know how much of that you do already, but it’s worth investigating. With regards to the small business community, I would consider a model of cooperation rather than just buying a figure and reviewing it, but that’s just my perspective looking to diversify revenue streams.
I’d love to see more indie reviews. EVERY other figure channel covers the mainstream Hasbro and Mattel releases. I buy cool figures in general, not just from IPs I know.
Great figure! The little pouch is a tobacco pouch that hangs on the pipe...the rope is for his sword case when he is displayed without cloak ie no peg hole to store case when shirtless 👍
Yes to the "Inde" brands! You review things fairly. Its nice to get honest reviews about other stuff besides your Usual. Im honestly glad to see u step on the gass and do this review.
Thanks for the review. I've got my eye on the Shuten Doji they announced just the other day so this is helpful as a point of reference for this company. Interesting that this has sculpted pants whereas Shuten got cloth. That'd be a deal-breaker for me but this review has convinced me that if at least the overall aesthetics of the final product look as good this one, then I might give them a chance despite the soft goods.
I appreciate you reviewing these third party figures. I think where most of the third party figures tend to drop the ball is the articulation/range of motion. It's all there, it's just doesn't work. Comes off as an afterthought.
To answer question 1 - do it! Review as much good/bad products you want to review. Not that my purchasing circulates exclusively on your reviews but m'gawd you've saved me money. Thanks for the efforts on this product. Isn't it a wonderful experience owning an action figure that is worth its price?
I'm ok with you reviewing them. The Chinese ones are actually big. You should also review the 3P War of Warcraft figures; the Mythril ones are made by Storm Collectibles (same soft rubber torsos).
I'm not a furry, but this line is really amazing. I picked up FuRay Planet's Wilderness Hunter Crocker to stand in as my TMNT Leatherhead. It has great detail, but the articulation is limited. Especially in the arms. If I had the money and space, I would make an entire scene to display Blade Master Weng. Maybe walking across a small bridge. It just gets my imagination going. What other martial arts animals live in his world? I'm afraid this may be a limited run and the price will skyrocket. I'm going to save up some money and get one of these while I can.
I just got the figure 2 days ago. He is beautiful and badass. I'm all for indie figures. Definitely heat the hands. Impossible to remove the hands if you don't and those claws are hurt!
Review whatever you want to, including indie figs. Your reviews speak for themselves, so broadening the range of content works for me. This looks great, definitely prefer this is a bunch of standard Hasbro figs
Good Review as Always. Honestly, i give it an 8/10. They spoilt us with William( The Wolf) previously. If they included simmilar body swappable accessories akin to that and a extra head. This would even be better for what it is. Well, as far as WereTigers Go, Memory Toys just showed a Prototype for there version of A Tiger Warrior, its not painted yet but it looks badass. Keep an eye out for that if you really like this.
Yes please review indie brands is there is something worth attention, it totally make sense for you , man you are the best reviewer out there, and it would be great to hear opinions on brands we are not familiar with. When you review SH Figuarts or Marvel, yeah we all have these brands and we all know what to expect from them. Indie brands it is quite opposite, we don’t know what to expect quality wise sooooo please review them :-)
Hell yeah, indie figures reviews are always welcome. This companies are doing an amazing job with their products. I'm currently waiting for the Knight of war by Vtoys, Notta's Sun Wukong and Morlock by Memory Toys. They all seem really cool
I just got the FuRay Planet Veteran William in from BBTS this week, I love him, big feral werewolf. So I'm liking the FuRay Planet stuff, this tiger one also looks great.
You gotta get veteran William from the same line. Best werewolf figure out there currently and has soooo many accessory options its like having 2 figures in 1 . Its easily the best of the furay line thus far
Super happy u r taking on new lines I've been waiting for this for years. Idk how long I've been subed to ur channel but it's been a long time and I really thi k this is going to to be great I love hearing ur opinions and I always feel like I can trust u to tell it how it is with any figure and its y I've been a fan for so long
I love indie figures, they are beautiful and truly are a passion project. However, I chose indie figures that have a connection to mainstream and pulp media, otherwise it loses its novelty to me quite easily because there's no connection or attachment to the product. Perhaps if there was a story or the maker has a featured process like what Adam Savage does, it creates value for me.
Please review more indie brands! I don’t know if you’d be interested, but Furay Planet is making these Panda bros, Yin and Yang. I’d love to see your opinion on it when it comes out
Always wanted you to review some indy figures. This figure is a great one to start with. I hope you're interested in reviewing their rabbit figure that's coming out soon. I want that one.
I love that you’re reviewing more indie figures because the stuff we’re getting from mainline figures isn’t really it, aside from neca they’re killing it
You must be having a bubble. Storm, Figuarts and especially Jada are bringing out quality gear
You should absolutely keep reviewing these indie figures. Your integrity is the last thing anyone should question and it also makes a good platform for more people to be aware of these figures in the first place.
With this figure, you can pop off the torso from the waist and pull off his skirt completely, and you get a naked ninja- the legs have incredible articulation without the skirt and it’s clearly made to be an option- like the Veteran William figure, the clothing hinders it, but there’s a sans clothing option.
you wanted to see the naked bara furry
So what you're saying is this figure has a furry fan service mode.
@@ginogatash4030 yes. Yes indeed.
I'm definitely supportive of your reviewing more indie lines and figures. The market for boutique operations is expanding exponentially and there are so many new companies and figures out there. An experienced voice like yours reviewing some of that new stuff would help folks (like me, for sure) make decisions on what to pick up.

I'm all for reviewing Indies. Just looking at what's in the 5K storefront, how could you not resist.
I have no idea how they managed to cramp that many accessories and paints, even a artbook/comic for the pricepoint. Got it for bout $75
Amazingly detailed figure, with plentiful and (mostly) purposeful paint applications appropriately applied. Ay!-this figure is exceptional.
I like the Indi reviews. They have been looking really interesting lately.

I learned a new word today...digitigrade. This is the channel that keeps on giving
Here's another. Plantigrade
I think it's cool for you to review indie figs. Giving them exposure not only helps them but could possibly help you and people like me who watch you find new things to possibly enjoy or think about. I think It's a win-win.

It completely blows away a lot of big company figures.

Yes, to the independent toy reviews. Superb figure. Looks really tough & ready to take over a shelf for itself. Thanks for sharing your treasure.
Question of the day: I like the idea of other brands reviews, I hope these reviews will perform as good as the biggest brands reviews and will bring you more viewers as well.

Keep doing indie figure reviews, these figures are the best coming out
It’s a great idea to review all the products of action figures , the ones you are interested in
Yeah I gota admit your fair reviews always keep me coming back
I appreciate you reviewing these third party figures.
Isn't it a wonderful experience owning an action figure that is worth its price?
it is indeed
Man these Maestro Union figures are badass.
I'm ok with you reviewing them. The Chinese ones are actually big. You should also review the 3P War of Warcraft figures; the Mythril ones are made by Storm Collectibles (same soft rubber torsos).
Not trying to be a kiss-ass, seriously, you're one of the most trustworthy reviewers around.
Indie brands it is quite opposite, we don’t know what to expect quality wise sooooo please review them :-)
I think it's a good idea to review indie figures, it'll get more eyes on these kinds of figures and you're always very objective in your reviews.
I’m loving Maestro Union brand and these figures are amazing.
Veteran William is my favorite 🐺
Review what you want to review. Indie, mass market, imports, whatever! I’ll be watching.
Same, got him like 2 weeks ago and have him possed as a regular werewolf..thinking of getting their Crocker, have him as a Killer Croc.
Excellent figure I definitely want to pic up!! Thanks for the review - keep doing independent toy brands 👍
Absolutely keep reviewing indie brands, as long as it is something interesting to you.
Love that you are reviewing these. Thxs 👍
This line made the best werewolf ever I love it so it's awesome you are reviewing this
Definitely need this guy for a custom tiger claw
i removed the lower skirt on mine and did some augmentation for wider range of motion.
Veteran William (the wolf guy) is awesome too!
I believe the little bag is a tobacco pouch and it fits onto the hook of the pipe
You gotta get veteran William from the same line. Best werewolf figure out there currently and has soooo many accessory options its like having 2 figures in 1 . Its easily the best of the furay line thus far
One of the best figures I have. Also have their werewolf and crocodile.
I have this,Crocker and veteran William and they are all fantastic.
Super happy u r taking on new lines I've been waiting for this for years. Idk how long I've been subed to ur channel but it's been a long time and I really thi k this is going to to be great I love hearing ur opinions and I always feel like I can trust u to tell it how it is with any figure and its y I've been a fan for so long
I got their Veteran William, have him as a regular Werewolf...and man is he an impressive figure, especially for the price.
I hope you continue with indie figures. There are some companies out there making great figures of their own IP that put the major companies to shame.
Please review more indie brands! I don’t know if you’d be interested, but Furay Planet is making these Panda bros, Yin and Yang. I’d love to see your opinion on it when it comes out
I hope you'll review more indie brands. Like the ancient orc guardian of the horde and the upcoming illidan.
Always wanted you to review some indy figures. This figure is a great one to start with. I hope you're interested in reviewing their rabbit figure that's coming out soon. I want that one.
the small bag goes with the pipe. the rope is for the weapon case handles.
I love this figure man! This and the werewolf are my best picks of the year. 🎉
