    Great..last extrude cut was not required as these two cuts were for high speed balancing purpose..

    Nice video, interesting and well explained. When importing an stl is it important to have closed surfaces?

      It is not necessary to have a closed or watertight surface. Actually you can be missing data and utilize the tools in Design X to create features based off the scan data. Let us know if you have any questions or would like to see more videos.

    When working with an optical scanner, a problem arose-it does not remove the edge of a thin part, the overall size is hard to catch. How did you solve this problem?

      Hello . The first question I would need to ask is what type of Optical 3D scanner did you use? The scanner we used for this part is the Solutionix D500 which is able to capture high resolution and sharp edges.
