So crazy ... some people never see a bat in their entire lives, and here you are with three of them! They must know how much love and care you have to offer. On behalf of bats everywhere, thank you so much!

I think it's because I learned to recognise them out of the corner of my eye. Two years ago I never would have noticed, say, a vaguely bat shaped pile of dust; but now that I'm familiar with what a sitting bat looks like, my brain puts a big bold⚠️🦇⚠️ on it before I even consciously notice ^^

Nice to read that everything turned out well with Diracula and Moebius! Kudos for the good job with them and Amelia, as well - from her initial appearance/behavior, her survival prospects were probably very poor until your intervention and care.

The way she chows down on her food and her eyes open after being so sleepy 😍 what a gorgeous little thing Amelia is, the trust she placed in you is also beautiful. Fly high Amelia, fly high ❤

You’ve never seen one up close, going through 15-30 of those worms in under 10 minutes. they’re little eating machines: can eat their own weight in insects every night. and the poop.

How beautiful to watch your loving gentle touch bring Amelia back to us. The triumph of her first sip of water graduating to her taking the worm -- then flight!!! Thank you so much from my heart 🙏🤗💞🙌 Many blessings to you. .

... I'm back! With a dusty pipistrelle I found in front of my office.
(Still not sure how I feel about leaving my weird voice in this video ^^')
Sorry for disappearing - my video editing laptop broke, and then ~life~ kept happening. Diracula and Moebius are free bats now, too! (I might come back still to edit all the video footage I still have of them. It's too cute not to. Would you guys be interested?)
I found a baby bat again this year - but that's a story for another video :)

This was beautiful, Amelia would have died without your gentle heart and hands. You definitely have the right energy for handling wild creatures in trouble, and you did exactly the right things to give her back her strength and energy to live.
She knew from the start that you were helping her, and she trusted you. I find the sight of micro bats eating mealworms satisfying too, they have such gusto for little creatures. It is as if they see themselves as giants…Meg calls it battitude.
Thank you so much for sharing this, I didn’t see it sooner because my Husband was in hospital (he is home now), but seeing this in my notifications made me very happy…and watching it made me happier still. You are a good friend to the bats.🖤🇨🇦

@@awesomarium370 Thank you so much…he is getting stronger each day, and once the crisis is past I think we all heal better at home than in the hospital. We just came in from a walk, looking at the gardens and watching the squirrels madly gathering acorns. Everything is still green, and late flowers are in bloom, but you can tell Autumn is coming.🖤🇨🇦

I was so excited to see your video-I have so missed watching vids of da little bat brothers. I thought you had gone away for good😢. I’ve been watching bee videos and snake videos but nothing is as good as baby bat brother videos!
Thanks for fixing up Amelia and I can’t wait to see more of the bat brothers and the new baby bat.

@@awesomarium370 I don’t know much about Patreon but you might look into about getting a Patreon page (channel?) if it doesn’t cost much, especially considering your recently broken equipment.
I subscribe to a couple and donate anywhere from a dollar to $5 dollars a month and apparently the site can be very helpful to Content creators.
      The bats are worth it!

@@sharim Thank you so much for your kind words!
I've been on the fence about this donation issue for a bit... In all honesty, the only thing that's consistent about me is the inconsistency (even without technical issues); and I'd feel kind of bad accepting Patreon-style recurring donations when my videos are all irregular. I mean, I have no intentions to ever give up this channel (and am planning to offer to take in more bat babies from around the island next summer, turns out there are not enough bat foster people here, that's why I couldn't find anyone to take in Diracula and Moebius!), but actually finding the time to video-edit is hard sometimes ^^
But finally I came to the conclusion that putting up a 'buy me a coffee' link in the video description won't hurt anyone, as that also allows for one time donations.
So. um. It's there now. Thanks for giving me that push :)

Bats want to be free! They do get comfortable with a trusted human, but they don't stick around the way birds do. Guess we can't provide the comfort of snuggling up with other bats in a nice roost :3
