Thanks for the sourwood seeds Bob! I called your store in early January and learned you had not received my self-addressed, stamped envelope. I was asked for my address and hoped you still had seeds that weren't packed up for the NAHBE. After a few weeks, I assumed I had missed my opportunity. But on Thursday, 4/25/24, an envelope arrived with sourwood seeds! It was postmarked 1/16/24. I'm not sure where they were all that time but thank you so much for sending them! I work for the city and we have a big spot that just grows weeds that I'm gonna till up and put a bunch of wildflower seeds, I've already got goldenrod and milkweed seeds that I've gathered and gonna spread. Gonna order some wildflower seeds and some sunflower seeds to plant there this spring. Gonna put me an envelope in the mail too. I'm sure you are gonna get more requests than the amount of seeds you have to get out. Thanks!

Thanks for posting Bob. The demonstration of planting the sourwood seeds was particularly interesting for me. We plan to try this method. My wife and I have been spreading sourwood seeds by just throwing a pinch of seeds in open areas that get some sunlight all over our forestland for the past 5 years. We have some sourwood and a lot of poplar here in middle Tennessee but would like to see more sourwood.

Awesome video. Sourwood is one of my favorite trees for bees. Will that tree that was pulled out of the pot be ok? I was always told that you must only move them when they are completly dormant or they can bleed through the roots and die? Its got some good roots at just one year old.
