- Writing a personal statement is probably the cringiest thing anyone ever does - I mean how do you brag without sounding like you're bragging, be passionate without sounding fake, come across as bright without seemingly like a d1ck!? 🤷🏽
In this video, I share top tips I've got from reviewing quite a few personal statements and take you through my own personal statement - which got me a place to study at Cambridge University 🤟

Who I am:
I'm a trainee lawyer studying in London. I graduated from Cambridge, speak French and Spanish and don’t believe in “natural talent” 😮 BUT... I do believe that TOGETHER, WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF POSITIVITY, PRODUCTIVITY AND SUCCESS.

On another note, viewers, try to avoid using the same word 3 (4 if you count furthermore as well) times within 4, albeit lengthy sentences, as he did in his application with further :P. If I notice it, University professors will as well haha. But that's nitpicking what was a great application overall and a helpful video.

Damn I didn't know I was good at writing. I hammered my personal statement and got accepted by all uni's I appiled to. Just goes to say never doubt yourself.

Hey Liam, absolutely love your videos. So much informational & helpful advice, great inside look. My name is also Liam but I’m only 15 newly into Year 11 so this year (for me) is going to be busy but I love it so far. Taking notes & effectively revising just like you show in your videos, I am also very passionate about studying law but it’s really unfortunate as I can’t study law in school until at least another year. During lockdown I have been teaching myself from home at a basic level like contract law, employment law etc. I would really like to talk to you sometime whether over Instagram, email or anything that works for you, to discuss your path. Your choices & your advice, if you don’t have the time to talk to me I completely understand as you live a busy life but I’m willing to put in the work & effort to show you I am worthy of advising. It’s interesting how you don’t have a conclusion - would you say that it’s not necessary, especially if you’re struggling with the word count? I’ve hovering between 4080-4100 characters for days now!
