Penrith are incredible, they had 29 out of their top 30 available for selection. Usually the fittest squad wins the comp, the Storm have all their top players back too so it should be a great game if those those 2 meet up in the GF. The first 40 minutes from the Panthers was the best half of footy this year. If the Roosters were at full strength, it would have been an interesting game, but I think the Riff would have still won. Before you say "I must follow the Riff", I am a lifelong Chooks supporter.
As a dragons fan i always wanted a team to win 3 in a row and i got to see it.GOAT well done panthers hope you do 4 and who knows they could win 6 in a row no one knows
Penrith looked Good but you gotta give it to Roosters for holding it in there without most of their key players. Defensively they are missing out on Victor Radley and JWH who are impact players and in their attack Brandon Smith and Sam Walker. Those first 2 trys from the Roosters showed the potienital threat they still have but will need to work on alot especially with the inexperienced halfbacks and combinations. Joey Manu and Suaalii need to get the ball more and get involved to add some spark and free up the load on Teddy now.
That first was as good as it gets. Fast, physical and accurate. Penrith looking formidable and 4 peat looking likely. If Storm have a similar performance - Storm/Penrith GF how good
@@retroray58warby98 Oh boy, look at that performance by Storm yesterday, absolutely clinical. It was a well oiled machine. If Storm and Panthers play in the GF, it should be a great game.
Roosters were terrible! Their halves can't tackle and thats where Penrith exploited them. They won't be able to do that to Munster and Hughes. Iam not saying this is the only reason Penrith won but it was a massive factor!
True plus Chookies have no long or high kicking game to get out of trouble. Cleary and Luai huge kicks out of trouble pinning Chookies down near their goal line wrecked any momentum Chookies gained.
@@jackohere1878 Cleary's kicking was fucking unreal. Not that it was a huge factor due to the Roosters being poor in many other areas as well, but that kicking game is deadly. Cleary and Hughes man, a cut above the rest.
@@SilentHotdog28exactly this point. Cleary’s boot last night was as perfect as it’d get. An absolute masterclass. Hughes is the Dally M player this year but Cleary is THE guy in the comp. Hoping to see the Storm v Panthers rematch in the GF.
That's true. Funny thing about Panthers in this game (which I think is the reason Roosters were so shell shocked) is they were on the attack for a lot of that game, they were aggressive, they are known for their defence, but they could not be stopped in attack last night.
Different story if Roosters had Jared, Walker, Smith, Radley, and the Butcher Brothers all fit…… but that’s footy……. Roosters won the second half 10-6…… so the Panthers won’t want to let the foot off against Melbourne in the GF…..
Penrith were unbelievable tonight, however, the storm would not allow this. The roosters had absolutely zero pressure on Cleary and no urgency off their line, simply not good enough. Bellyache will have everyone sprinting off their line and slowing the ruck, especially shutting down cleary. Really poor attitude from the roosters in such a big game
@@mitchelltownes6251 Done nothing? Literally have as many minor premierships as Penrith since Storm last won the GF in 2020. Storm have had so many injuries. Last decent run of injuries was 2021 and they lost 10-6 to Penrith in the prelim after losing Welch and Brandon Smith in the first 15 minutes. Would love to see the scoreline if Penrith lost JFH and Api in the first 15 and Melbourne had their full 17. 2022 lost Welch for the season and Paps barely played. 2023 Storm was a rebuild and still made top 4 and a prelim. Lost their whole forward pack in 2 years - Jesse Bromich, Kenny Bromich, Kaufusi, Dale Finucane, Brandon Smith and also lost our backup FB in Nicho Hynes. Paps pretty much injured for the season again so Nicho would have been handy in the last 2 years.
It was honestly just one bloke. That replacement 7 for the roosters. He literally butchered 3 kicks and they scored on him another 3 times. Roosters should've protected him defensively.
I been saying for years luai has been carried by the players around him, never felt like there was anything doing when he had the ball. I feel like a proper knobhead now 😅 especially after origin
Only reason roosters scored twice is because the ref carried them down field 😂 look at the game stats.... whistle whistle etc. Nobody beats this penrith side in a finals match.
Moses was poor as a commentator.Earlt days but no charisma and analysis was weak. Seemed a bit sooky too last night. Cooper has been good, he breaks down play and explains things really well but I think Ennis has become one of my favourites to listen to.

Yeah they lost 2nd half 10 to 6 .
Just remember that .
Dont forget papps feild goal ,edwards just cant even 😂😂😂😂

Thank you Moses and Alexander and panel - at last someone giving Jarome his flowers and seeing his game for what it is
They're looking good for a 4 peat
Rainy with a storm

I hope Storm are clinical all finals. I just don't want us to choke this year, we often choke when finishing 1st, so please Storm, go all the way.

Melbourne lol the first 25 mins from Melbourne were ordinary lol
They only did it for 40 min! Storm was ON for the full 80 min !
Titans looked more energetic because they had nothing to play for😂😂😂can't put on read on that team
Either the Storm or Manly can compete with the Panthers.

Funny how the Panthers flipped the script in that department. All week it was weather Nathan could handle it, turned out it was the other way around.
As some one once said “ You can’t WIN a game in the first half. But you can LOSE it in the first half”. Very wise.

Cleary's only kicking game is to aim for upright post. The Panthers have no chance against a more aggressive defense like the Storm. 😂

Jerome Hughes is different compared to who ever was playing half for the roosters
It's literally a kid from nsw cup he's only had a handful of experience at this level let alone a final at Penrith Park. Don't be too tough
I’m saying Jerome Hughes is the best 7
Zip up their pants after your finished Brandy

Penrith great backing his club 😂
The referee was the man of the match for Penrith.
Have a sook champ
Keary should have been in the bin, start of the 2nd half so many 6 agains and pens for the sook chooks. The ref was the only one keeping them in it.

Ashley Klein giving the Riff 75% possession in the first 25 minutes is why they won.
The Roosters contributed through drop balls and poor discipline. Klein tried hard for the Roosters at the beginning of the second half.😂
