    An idea for your tarot practice: do a full spread once a week or once a month. Maybe on the new moon ;)

      Thank you!! Maybe that is a better option than daily for me, doing it once a week would be much easier!

      @@mydandeliondiaries Hey Danielle, I have been struggling with keeping up with mine as well and I went to once a week or sometimes every other week. I am still learning myself and daily was too much for me at this time in my life. I think in March I only did it once.

      or maybe group your deco to once a month or every other week. you’ve done enough already to guesstimate how much space it takes. It’s also a good excuse to revisit past days, perhaps with new insight or just to be reminded of what was going on.

    Loved seeing your lineup and current thoughts! Thanks for sharing. Re the original Sterling Ink A5 notebook - I'm using an A6 of that type as a Word of the Day journal and have had the same issue with the binding curving at the front. I haven't got far enough into it to be able to tell if that will keep happening. I'm not using any stickers or washi, just fountain pen, so it's not an issue of chunk. The notebook seems pretty sturdy though so hopefully the spine will maintain its integrity.

      @mydandeliondiaries  7 місяців тому +1

      Awesome! Thank you for sharing! The binding seems fine on mine too, and I primarily use just pen minus some date stickers. I'm thinking it's just the paper cover being thin compared to the new PU covers she has.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble 7 місяців тому +1

      I agree it’s not a chunk issue. In my experience with the old notebooks it’s due to the cover and the reinforcement they did to them to make them “sturdier”. They merely thickened the covers and did nothing to the spine and as a result it’s making a weird curve in the spine when you use them. Happened with the undated planners too. But even with stickers and fluff they held up fine. Just look weird.

    For the undated pages, perhaps keep a print out of dates v days of the year, you can then find the correct page by referencing that and then moving to the corresponding numbered page e.g. 1 April is on page 92 this year because of the leap year.

      Yes, this is similar to what I came here to suggest. Every day has a specific day of the year, so it’s easier to reference that way.

    I'd love to see a video from you comparing the different leather covers from different makers. Like thickness, fit (snug or roomy), colors ect. ❤

    Put a decorative patch on the spot like some people do on their TNs.

    My Sterling Ink Planners were doing the same thing as your journal. I decided to abandoned them and try a different company. I thought it was from her clear covers I put on the books but I can see now that it just happens with some of her books. It was such a waste of money.

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  7 місяців тому

      I find it only happens with the paper covers for her earlier releases. The book is still holding together just fine so I'm not mad, it just looks odd.

    My suggestion for the undated pages issue. You threw out the idea of writing something on a sticky note. You could do that, put a date on it and stick it a few pages ahead. You'll still have to move it every so often, but at least it won't slip your mind. That, or, what I have as a supplement to my Common Planner is a small passport weekly. I use it to jot down things I don't want to forget about and want to add to my CP down the line. Not the most ideal since a) you'd have yet another planner, and b) you'd have to get in the habit of checking it often but it might be helpful. (I look at mine at the beginning of each month just to see if there's something important in it, if so, then I check it weekly, then daily.) Maybe even an undated passport weekly so you don't have blank days and you can just cross off what you've added once you reach that day in your CP. 🤷‍♀

      These are great suggestions!! I may use a small booklet insert now that you've mentioned an undated passport. That may work better than the sticky note method.

    I seem to be finding it very difficult to settle on the right system this year for some reason. Work was easy - another SICP, but personal life has been a nightmare. I took inspiration from your health planner because this year I’m really focused on both physical and mental health, but I didn’t even finish setting it up 😢. I eventually ditched any pretence or hope of making anything pretty (found that decision to be very good for my mental health), and went right back to what I need. Have moved my planning - diary, actions etc into an A6, so it goes everywhere with me. Using an Aura Estelle for that as SI don’t do the horizontal week in that size and I don’t need a timeline outside of work. I track the things I have to do to meet my goals in there too, and have a combined graph on the blank spread at every month for a combined graph of weight, sleep and steps. My goals, milestones and actions are in an SI B6 Monthly Booklet and I also keep the “master” combined monthly graph in there. That booklet lives in a cover alongside an SI B6 notebook for my journal - which I will decorate with photos, doodles, memorabilia etc. I’ll keep the booklets and journals but the A6 will likely be shredded at the end of the year. It’s taken me nearly 8 months since I started thinking about 2024 last summer to find some peace 😅. I love looking at others’s systems but I have realised I need simple and fast planning with a single source of truth, and I need it kept separate from my journalling.

      This video just popped up on my feed. Regarding the “stain”, it almost looks like those are imperfections/indentations on the leather that was masked naturally but for some reason showed up when you tanned the leather. I hope to see a video update :). Thank you for sharing your Sojourners!😊

    For the clear cover that is too tight on the Sterling Ink planner, maybe you can cut the edge of the back side so the planner can slip further (and a bit out) or it?? Just an idea 🤔

      @mydandeliondiaries  7 місяців тому +1

    My N2 weeks Sterling Ink clear cover also doesn’t fit right. Nothing seems to help as it still curls up in the front like yours. I ended up buying a Hobonichi weeks clear cover instead and it fit perfectly.
