    Brilliant! My dermatologist also advised me to spot treat in the AM (I use Pernex AC 5%). I use prescriptions adapalene at night.

      Epiduo formulation ie Benzoyl peroxide +adapalene works great.

      @@6abhisekbackup9 yes, I’ve heard that but I’m following the prescription of my dermatologist. I don’t spot treat often because I no longer get new pimples. Probs once every few months.

    This was so helpful! I came back to write a comment because I watched this video 4 days ago. I had a terrible spot and have been treating it exactly as you stated and it’s been going away perfectly. Thank you so much for this. I typically deal with post acne hyperpigmentation as well and will be using your steps for that too! ❤️

    Thank you Dr Sam! I absolutely love how precise you are. It's so so helpful. Atm I only have benzoyl peroxide in the form of epiduo for my occasional spots. But I was also prescribed a nadifloxacin gel a while back for spots. However I'm hesitant to use both of them together and end up with irritated skin😪

      Since this was posted 3 weeks ago, how long did it take you for your large acne blemish to go away? Mine usually stick around for about a week, and then I usually get a lil hyperpigmentation after a large spot.

    Thank you so much for this video, Dr. Sam 💗 I've been breaking out loads lately, because of exams 😭 Could you kindly suggest if I should stop using my retinol serum whilst my skin is going through stress induced breakouts, and focus on skin-calming products, or should I keep going with the retinol?

    Thank you dr sam, once again you explicitly demonstrated how to deal with those horrible breakouts when they strike...i am currently going through a tret purge (wk5)... the sides of my face constantly have a sea of spots... if i knew i could use Duac, it would have helped. I am definitely adding it in my AM routine... thx for this priceless info. Been suffering fr hormonal acne since January, no end in sight yet...

    • @sookibeulah9331
      @sookibeulah9331 2 роки тому +1

      I used Duac for year without much success on my ‘triangle of doom’ (love the term as well). I switched to Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and OMG it’s the biggest transformation in my skin. I used it twice a day for 4-6 months and I now rarely get spots - even during my period. It’s been transformational. I didn’t use moisturiser as it has an oily quality. I’m now using other actives (5% lacid morning & Differin in the evening as well as the BHA some days - my skin can tolerate all)
      I can finally think now about healing the scars in that area. I suspect the Duac dried out the skin (I didn’t use moisturiser there 😏) and made the scaring worse.
      NB Paula’s Choice has a trail size of the 2% BHA. I just dabbed it on my skin with my fingers. As it’s pricy I didn’t want to waste any on a cotton pad.

    Hello Dr. can you please suggest me something to do with my case please? I've done 16 full body of laser alexandrite cynosure (infrared rays working machine) that ruined my skin maybe forever i used tons of creams and oil with just a bit of recover .. only the italian moisturizing cream known as Kutisen helped me a little bit more but it cost very much .. now my skin gets hyperpigmented very easly and if i get injured the skin takes months to heal completely and always remains with an hyperpigmentation spot.
    Professor Monti from Milan told me that these damages are permanent because when the skin is under laser treatments it is permanently damaged due to the heat wave but maybe we can remedy it..
    Would you please have some video or concrete suggestion for me? What can i do?
    Thanks, Kind Regards.

    Loved this video, but I have a question...since I started my Tretinoin 0,025% my skin has turned from combination to dry and I have maneged the dryness and peeling by incresing my use of richer ceramides creams, niacinamide in every routine and relying in calming and hidrating toners and essences. Still, around period time usualy Lucifer arises somewhere. Where should I insert a benzoil peroxide in that routine? Love your hair, by the way!
