- Best Cannoli in the World - Today we are in the city of Palermo Sicily where the Cannoli were invented and we are going to look for the best cannoli in the world. We will try several pastry shops that make cannoli. Also we will visit the convent of Santa Caterina where apparently they invented the cannoli. Will we be able to find the best cannoli in the world? In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists - but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.
After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew - and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.

Loved this video! If you ever get to Punta Secca, please try the cannolo at Enzo a Mare. I feel it's the best cannoli in the world :) I still think about it lol.

Come to Boston and give us your votes in the great cannoli debate. Modern Pastry serves up authentic Italian cannoli that would be right at home on the streets of Palermo. While Mikes serves a very different American-style cannolo (huge and prefilled.)

I’m in Palermo right now and watching this, 3/4 way through I was thinking ‘they should go to see what the nuns’ bakery ones are like’ as I’m eating some baked goods from there with my cup of tea now! The cannoli were too big for me so I didn’t try. Of all the cannoli that I have tried in Italy I still prefer the ricotta ones back home in Footscray Australia, a Sicilian migrant from the 1950’s opened a Pasticceria, Cavallaro & Sons, delicious!

I recently started to learn about Sicily to hopefully be able to vacation there in the not too distant future. Why does the town of Erice come to mind when I think of cannoli?
They make cannoli there too probably, it just happened that we were in Palermo 😊
I could be wrong but I think we have some good (and not so good) cannoli here in Montreal. But maybe the best ones are in Erice!
