No doubt! Most singers are about 3-6 inches away from a vocal microphone on a loud stage like that. He's 2-3 feet or more off the mic at times. That man had some PIPES! My hometown brother, rest in peace, go with God.
Who could possibly give this a thumbs down. The King will not only be a blues legend but also in the world of guitar he will inspire generations of new guitarists for decades if not a millenia.
I watched, and yes, he is the greatest. At times, his playing, the way he attacks the strings, It's like a river of fire, 100 years of blues history flows through him at all times. the overall sound that he pulled from his instrument, its so full and rich, you can literally swim in it. there's tears in my eyes right now, no kidding. The crowd that gathered that night--what a crowd! they were more than ready to see BB King, that's for sure! you can really feel the excitement, the electricity throughout the whole show.
Tears flow from true beauty. Who knows why? This does the same to me. I was so lucky to see this act twice in 1982, and am now so lucky to be able to relive it here.
I am kicking myself for not seeing BB in concert in London in 2011. He was my main influence on Blues music and my idol. One person I wanted to see in concert.
I love how much B.B. King is having fun here. He truly enjoys what he is doing. He isn't there for a paycheck. He plays around with his voice, improvises. Wonderful!
Great concert by the blues master. BB´s sound and intensity on the guitar is unbelieveable, together with "live in Africa", this concert is one of my real favourites.
I grew up on this kind of singing in this kind of talent on the old Ernest record bar years ago I'm 71 years old now and I have always liked music I play guitar I'm glad I come along in a Time went great musicians and singers like Mr King came along God bless you brother I do enjoy your music and your singing so much forever King of the blues Mr BB King thank you sir

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad a few years ago. Russell is a very kind person. I owe a lot to Russell as he really took me in as a younger musician and gave me a chance. I will be sure to mention this all to him. Russ is on my FB /jamesbuddyrogers
BB King is a great roll model for all people. I wish young people would watch him and the the love coming from his heart. I meet BB several times and he is one nice person.
RIP BB. I've watched this video 100 times over the years. Wish I would gotten to see him play live but never got around to it. Kinda though he would always be there ya know?
The first show that i saw mr. B.B.King was in early 80's on rio de janeiro. after the first, i had the opportunity and went to more 5 shows. all of them marvelous. salute the the king of blues, mr bbking
My favourite guitarist of all time, the front runner in melody based guitar lines. Beautiful live vocal as per usual. That tone! Amazing. Thank you for the upload. Edit - would be remiss off me not to mention the band. Sensational. In particular the trumpet player and bassist.
B.B.King is a god of music. I have nothing but respect for your skill, your talent and your ability to bring such amazing music to generations of people. a light that will never dim.
The most effective communicator of human emotion ever, in my opinion, BB King was. My goodness.. I fthis doesn't make you feel something in your core.. I'm jealous because you must have avoided this life of suffering somehow.
Yes goose bumps all over my body..just now.. February 25,2022.... tremendous.. guitar blues solo sent chills of electric emotion right into me to my inner spirit and soul mind and body...Wow...Yes "B B KING".at his ..Best..PURE EXPLOSIVE BLUES POWER TO THE MAX...
Not only is he amazing, but so is his whole band. That is whqt happens when a group of gifted musicians listen to each other and give each other space and dont all try to show off.
The ONLY man i spent my money on. Saw him 2x Longhorn Ballroom dallas and Fair Park. Such a loving and gracious man. I remember exactly where i was standing the first time i heard"The thrill is gone". God bless you and your family and may you RIP
The most beautiful music ever,no questions ask, music at is best, very expressive, the last decentand of this super stile, grate gift of gog for us to listen,my very most admiracion for u pops, eternal.for 1 thousands of years to come .
My best friend of nearly 35 years recently passed away. One of my fondest memories with him was when we went to see BB King and his band at the Seattle Opera House back in the early to mid 1990's. It was my first time in that venue and it really hepled to created an impressive sound. The show lasted over 2 hours with an intermission. At first we thought the show was over after 45-50 minutes but I guess the fans at the Opera House needed a wine break, lol! Anyway, the show was awesome and moving.
good Gawd. this is tremendous. my wife and our friends saw BB and this band LIVE at least a half a dozen times between '77 and '92. We'd have been out of our minds at this show. Just how I remember them. Smaller Clubs and concert halls and Portland Zoos and NCO clubs it was always an insanely joyous, sweaty, thrilling, boogieing night. The man could not be topped. I'm sorry to anyone has never experienced them LIVE, Great post.
The point of music is not to think about your ploblems while you have it playing in the background. The point of music is to get captured by it and be in a state of pure joy. Really LISTEN.
He will forever be the King of the Blues 🎸
I know he's known mostly as a guitar player but man that dude could SING.
Danny Dine I feel that his voice is as noticeable as his guitar playing. You just know it when you hear B.B.
he sings like a monster
+Danny Dine He was introduced as the greatest blues SINGER of all time on his "Live at the Regal" album.
Anybody who knows anything about singing knows BB was one of the most soulful singers to ever live.
No doubt! Most singers are about 3-6 inches away from a vocal microphone on a loud stage like that. He's 2-3 feet or more off the mic at times. That man had some PIPES!
My hometown brother, rest in peace, go with God.
THAT BASS PLAYER THO...what a groove. These men were born to bring the groove and entertain the people.
i play the bass myself for 3 years and my teacher told me once "When you move your ass, you move it to the bass, dont forget that" so true
Alexander: That nigguh on trumpet ain't no slouch.
20:31 That solo 😭😭😭👌
man so sexy
That base player was killing it for real damn.
best blues guitarist to ever walk the earth, ladies and gentlemen. i love how he is so down to earth and so humble. thats what makes him the best!
Correction. The greatest guitarist of all time no matter the genre.
I disagree though you have a good argument. Johnny Winter and Buddy Guy are the best in my humble opinion followed by Alvin Lee and Luther Allison.
Ronnie Earl is great blues guitarist
@@MaximusWolfethis is why i love blues musicians bro everyone is so respectful. Wise wise people for wise wise music
Y jimi hendrix?, Eric clapton?
Who could possibly give this a thumbs down. The King will not only be a blues legend but also in the world of guitar he will inspire generations of new guitarists for decades if not a millenia.
It's not normal how good this is.
