Frank, you are demonstrating what I only found out 18 mths ago after 25 yrs of guitar. Travispicking / Alternating bass is the key to millions of songs. A hammer or two and its a finished project... and a voice directly connected to the heart ofcourse. Boy it takes along time to get that thumb to operate independantly from the fingers.
