I hate it when they do that. There's this other British show where they cook dinner for each other. And every now and then, there's a contestant whose strategy is clearly to lowball everyone else. And they get away with it. Awful people.
Studied for my Bachelor's in Zimbabwe. I'm Malawian myself but let me just say, Zimbabwean sadza SLAAAAPPSS!!! Every weekend we went into town my go-to meal would be sadza and maguru and ofcourse chomolia🥺😍🤤 Also learnt how to cook beef mixed together with veggies. Love it! We have nsima in Malawi and it's great but that Zimbabwean version hits different man👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Edit: Just to add lol they have a bunch of Shesanyama joints in Bulawayo where they char grill all kinds of meat. You order the meat and they bring it with sadza with a side or tomatoes, onions and cucumbers chopped into chunks... that's the "soup"....LET👏🏾ME👏🏾TELL👏🏾YOU!👏🏾😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you for representing our country. I would always be at Bessies house. That meal was definitely giving the rural area vibe( kumakomoyo kumusha) Gertrude did cook a good meal wont lie but she was def not being nice. You could critique and still be nice.
Gertrude was nasty and rude and I felt that all the way from STL 🙅🏾♀️ she only won because she lowered scores on purpose. I was hoping she wouldn’t win but unfortunately she did.
Bessie was the nicest, most sincere, pleasant, and honest of the group. The other women were straight nasty. I get it, throwing shade so they can win but the real winner is Bessie! Love from 🇳🇬🇺🇸!
Omgosh, I want Bessie to be my mother-in-law. She would be so amazing to have around and to provide good advice and gentle encouragement. She's such a sweet soul~ 💖
Bessie was the most authentic, let’s be honest Sadza ne usavi whichever is chosen isn’t flavor land but we love it. It’s all acquired taste . Bessie you won🏆 🎉
We do. But rarely. Gango and the maguru wrapped in the matumbu are the main examples I can think of where we do mix. She did a gango… the only things that don’t go in there is fish and insides… but sausage, kidneys, pork, lamb lol everything goes in there. If you are in Harare pane gango rekuhomeground soo… on a Sunday.
Am very relieved to see so many positive comments for Bessie, she certainly deserved better. I hope she sees this to know she may not have won the challenge, but she's definitely won the people's choice! 🎉
Why were they only commenting on the side dish instead of the actual star of the show, the sadza/pap? I wanted to know was it well made? Too hard, soft, plain, flavoured, did it have small balls inside?? Mhhh 🤔
😂😂😂😂 nah the one married to a Jamaican firstly big up your dam self we salute but secondly 😂😂😂 You knew what you where doing bringing oxtail to the party 🎉🎉 oh did I mention we salute ❤
Sadza is accompanied by a side of vegetables with or without meat, that makes the whole dish. You can't have it alone, the two compliment each other to make one dish
@lauramapani9033 video days sadza not sadza dish. They made comments on the side dishes more than the sadza itself. They could have said based their scoring on whether the sadza is lumpy, overcooked, undercooked, it being hard or too soft but instead they scored on whether the side dishes are seasoned or not
The woman that won said some wise words as the end” Fusion the food” that’s something I’ve learned to do on my own since I’m Mexican and Puerto Rican and love all kinds of foods from afar. 🍱 🥘 🍚 🌶
That is a great outlook to have. Though I heard the winner say "let's infuse flavor" (even though she criticized one dish for having too much flavor lol). The one who did fusion food was Dalia with her use of spices and meats used in Jamaican.
Hey I’m an emerging artist from London. I’m of Ghanaian heritage and I’m so happy you showcased Ghanaian food on your channel. Now it’s lovely to Zimbabwean food, look forward to exploring that. Id love you to see you showcase North African food especially Algerian food because I have a friend from Algeria. Id love to explore more of their food on your channel! ❤
"I think there's nothing I can fault with this... so I give it 8.5" what? I never understand those reasonings. Give em an 9 at least if there's nothing they can do better in ur eyes?
I remember havibg sadza for the 1st time and everyone was shocked that I knew it. We just use yellow corn in the caribbean, plus in Barbados we have it only with fish and tomato and onion sauce
I’m loving the Bessie love when as soon as she started talking i went into thought of sweet women or “good girl” vibes. And everyone in the comments are loving the vibe
Bessie is a beautiful soul who was 100% honest in her reactions and I could watch her all day!!! I love her spirit! 🤗
Bessie's a vibe.
Agreed!
💯% agree with this comment Bessie is a real one the others are just throwing shade to make their dish sound more appealing
Absolutely. Her score was only lowest because there wasn’t someone like her on her own judging panel.
❤❤❤❤
I'm here for Bessie, absolutely love how beautiful her soul is, btw none of them critiqued the sadza they were all focused on the sides 😆
Sadza is pretty bland and doesn't taste of much. The sides are what make the meal so there's not much to critique about it to be fair 😂
sadza basically is the side. the oxtail is the burger the sadza is the fries
But her sadza was rubbish ...this program is not about souls
Sadza is plain carbs
Bessie is super nice, Gertrude won because she was giving low scores.
Truly. She was handing out 5’s like Oprah’s favorite things.
I hate it when they do that. There's this other British show where they cook dinner for each other. And every now and then, there's a contestant whose strategy is clearly to lowball everyone else. And they get away with it. Awful people.
@@samkelomambisa1897 yes come dine with me ❤
Thank you so much guys for kindness and support it means a lot to me. May God bless you all ❤❤❤
Love you so much you're so nice ❤
Bessie and Audrey might not have won, but they’re definitely the ones whose houses we want to eat at ❤️
Bessie gets 10/10 for most lovable human being
Bro I'm in university and hearing Bessie's voice almost made me cry because it's exactly my mums voice. Made me miss home even more :,)
Gertrude won by giving everyone a 3-5! Have them taste their own/blindfolded to be fair
This would be great😂
I think they should normalize the scores before adding them up or throw away the outlier.
Yeah she was low balling everyone. The other 3 ladies were a bit more honest and fair.
Pls don't tell us the answers
@@mimap275then don’t look at the comments before watching
Bessie is so sweet and she gave everyone high honest marks.
Finally us Zimbabweans getting representation 💪🏿✊🏿
real there’s barely anything for us

Yes represent
Yes we deserve!!!
💪🏿
I’m here for Bessie’s attitude and spirit lol she was fun to watch
Bessie is my favourite, she’s so sweet 🥹
Didn’t the First Lady say hers was different because she has a Jamaican partner but then turns around and judges Aubrey ? Lol 😂 Bessie is so sweet!
Omg I was thinking the same thing when she was critiquing 😂
I don't care that she came in last, I want to eat dinner with Bessie. So sweet!
Bessie only came last because she gave everyone else high scores, consequently Gertrude only won because she downplayed on everybody’s dishes
Bessie is sooooo sweet! I love her reactions. Gertrude is such a witch. She low scored everyone
Bessie is so honest and pure. Please bring her back.❤

Bessie is so nice I felt it for her 😢. Someone was given off bad vibes, I think we all know who!
We know who. Audrey and Bessie, nice vibes ladies👍🏾👍🏾
Bessie out here making me want to try that ox tail. She’s sooo sweet. Protect her at all costs.
i did not want gertrude to win 😭
Same 😂
Me either.
GertRUDE pissed me off
Gertude isn’t slick. She gave two 5's which one of the dishes she even said was nice and a 3
Aahw so happy to see Southern Africans on these series! Goo 🇿🇼
Thank you for representing our country.
I would always be at Bessies house. That meal was definitely giving the rural area vibe( kumakomoyo kumusha)

We need a show with Bessie just trying food. So sweet and positive.
Gertrude was nasty and rude and I felt that all the way from STL 🙅🏾♀️ she only won because she lowered scores on purpose. I was hoping she wouldn’t win but unfortunately she did.
Girl what u expect from someone named Gertrude they almost ALWAYS have the nastiest attitudes and be badmind asf

Bessie and Audrey were kind and gentle, and hospitality is a large part of our culture. Gango is delicious so hard for Gertrude to not have won that!
when bessie said “let me eat again” then said “let me taste again” 😂
she was so funny and wholesome, loved watching her and she deffo won in my book
Bessie monologue at the end is taking me outttt she’s a sweetheart though my fav in this episode
Thank you for Zimbabwean representation at last!! Well done BuzzFeed!!
One thing I’m going to say is that oxtail was TOO GOOOD! What dish should we do next?
😊 mutakura or mazondo will be fun!!
Bessie has a beaaaaautiful aura.
Bessie was the most authentic, let’s be honest Sadza ne usavi whichever is chosen isn’t flavor land but we love it. It’s all acquired taste . Bessie you won🏆 🎉
So happy to see Zim 🇿🇼
I love that they used their hands for eating😍😍my African people❤️
And Bessie is such a lovely person❤
Bessie has such has such a likable personality!
Zimbabweans don't mix meats!! Definitely influenced by the West Africans there.
Love Bessie!! She's so sweet ❤
We do. But rarely. Gango and the maguru wrapped in the matumbu are the main examples I can think of where we do mix. You are right we don't mix meats. Yes gango is there with matumbu and masusu but we don't mix Ana fish etc
I’m glad to see that the general consensus is that Bessie is great! I want to eat at her house, she’s so sweet
Hifiridzi iyo inenge yainaka. Sadza does not need to be complicated. Bessie unoziva kubika sadza.
That ending with Bessie.... LOLOLOL. This was a calm one. I've never heard of the dish, but it will go on the list to try. It looked good!
First girls looked the best and she would have won if glasses didn’t low ball everyone.
Bessie wins with her beautiful smile and generosity!🎉
How can you not like Bessie?! She’s adorable

These are some of my favorite types of videos on yt to watch. Keep it up!
Omg I had a friend who was Kenyan and she would make ougali with greens and fish, ugh I miss that - it was sooo good!
Love Bessie, her smile and kind nature, her soul and energy come thru the screen. Love watching her, and she makes me smile 😊
Gertrude didn't have to be so harsh, It's literally just pap 😂😂
The lady in green is definitely my favourite, love her beautiful soul.
We need more Bessie !!! 🤍
Bessie won in my eyes
Yesssss in my eyes toooo

I vote Yes!!!!
😂😂😂😂 nah the one married to a Jamaican firstly big up your dam self we salute but secondly 😂😂😂

The women were rating by the sadza side dishes instead of only the sadza. Quiet unfair considering the video says rating each other Sadzas
Sadza is accompanied by a side of vegetables with or without meat, that makes the whole dish. You can't have it alone, the two compliment each other to make one dish

I watched this video SEVERAL times because of BESSIE 🥰🥰. PLEASE have her BACK. 🤩🤩🤩
Bessie is a doll. The ending had me crying 🤣🤣
Aww sweet Bessie, bless her heart 😂😂 y’all did her bad. Also, how Dalia judging Audrey when hers was also not "traditionally Zimbabwean".
Love the Zambian 🇿🇲 shout out! Yes, we do call it nshima 🎉 staple meal this one
“It’s giving me Mexican” wow we all need some self reflection but Audrey in particular
Southern Africa representing❤
Nice vid. Bessie is a cinnamon roll (google urban dictionary slang). I'm suprised very few people have commented about Audrey looks. She's pretty.
Never had Sadza but now I gotta try it 😊 Loved this group of ladies, critical without being offensive ❤
If you've ever had plain polenta then it tastes like polenta.
Awww Bessieeee. Such a sweetheart.
Not sure why the focus is on the meat instead of the sadza!
Bessie at the end 😂😂why would you do my girl dirty ,she was the sweetest
😂
Sadza, muriwo and chicken stew is my favourite or Sadza ne mabeans
